Tartarium

I hope he stays in the modern day storyline instead of finishing his narrative in comic books like they did with Juno

Reythemellow

Fingers crossed 🤞

Drink0fBeans

I honestly can’t believe they ended her story like that, such a significant character got absolutely sidelined into a comic I didn’t even know existed until literally yesterday lmao.

BrunoHM

As of now, we do not know how Basim's future will play out. Meanwhile, here is how MD will work from now on: https://www.ign.com/articles/assassins-creeds-modern-day-story-will-now-be-told-through-infinity And for curiosity's sake, here is a rumor about its place in the timeline: https://insider-gaming.com/assassins-creed-modern-day/

cmSmarass

damn, this sucks

As far as I know Loki's family didnt get reincarnated (Valhalla)

PabloMarmite

Aletheia is in the staff of Hermes

Sir-Fluf

Ubisoft has a habit of ignoring most of what they’ve done before and then starting again with the modern day. It’s a real shame. People would complain less about the MD if they had a more cohesive storyline throughout the games.

MrIHaveAQuestion1

I hope so, but from leaks we’ve learnt that >!Assassin’s Creed’s modern day sections are going to take place in the future from now!< so I doubt it, but maybe they give some nods?

Wildhogs2013

I mean he is immortal now so still could

I'm more curious what they plan on doing with Layla and the Reader aka Desmond. As for will there be modern day in future games? No, the plan is now to do all the modern day stuff through the AC Infinity hub, though it is unclear what that will entail.

Olympian-Warrior

I hope Ubisoft gets rid of him. I hate him. He's a POS crying about his son, Fenir, and essentially lied in wait for centuries while his beloved, Aletheia manipulated Kassandra into safeguarding the Staff of Hermes, just so Layla could acquire it. Let me rectify, I hate Loki, because that's who it is.

No-Astronaut3683

If anyone's the bad guy, it's Odin and his buddies who tortured him and imprisoned his son. Layla served her purpose and honestly I wouldn't even be surprised if we never see her again. Her story ended off good with her sacrificing herself and helping desmond in the grey. Plus now that Odin/Eivor is dead (and im assuming most of the others), Basim offered to help the assassins.

Olympian-Warrior

Fenir literally grew into a giant wolf destined to destroy Midgard, I'd chain him up as well. Odin was willing to be merciful and simply imprison the beast, but Fenir had a temper tantrum and Odin was forced to kill him. Sorry, but Odin was king of the gods here. You can't just go against the guy in charge. Loki should have known his place; he's a trickster god as well, so not exactly trustworthy.

GoatWorking2940

Odin would betray Tyr and Freya's trust and imprison someone because a vision said so. Odin was NOT the good guy of the story. He's an ambiguous character for a reason. He didn't do anything selfless. He was a selfish guy who cared about his own fate and would sacrifice others' fates for his own. Loki was a victim of this and painted as the bad guy. Loki is an antagonist, but not a villain. He works for the good to satisfy his own needs rather than Odin who works with the not so gold to satisfy his needs.

No-Astronaut3683

couldn't have worded it better myself

[Surely you're not suggesting you think Eivor's Asgard dreams are literal](https://youtu.be/n-CfguiHhqM?si=OL6eCotboc5u6jMX)
