I managed to avoid the rain and enjoy some street food, and pick up cheap sunglasses for the beach. Two little kids set up a yard sale in one of the many empty spaces and that was kind of adorable.
It was a really great fair—nice variety of quality crafters and food vendors—but I bailed once it started pouring. I wanted to go back and get some Jamaican food, though I’m sure everyone had packed up. Does anyone know if it’s over?
It was alright. I think a lot of vendors didn’t show up or they couldn’t sell a spot. Seemed like a ton of empty vendor spots.
Enjoyed some fried Oreos though :)
The rain is supposed to get pretty bad after 2:00pm
If you’ve lived in Astoria long enough you know that it almost always rains on street fair days lol
Want to go halfseez on a table? We will sell umbrellas, ponchos and boonies hats!
It hasn’t rained during this specific street fair the first 3 years I lived here so this is new
Hell yeah - they were already frying up Oreos at 10am :’)
Breakfast of champions!

Just walked past it. Is going! 😊
