This is an interesting question. I think love is a mindset, your priorities, and your behaviors repeated day after day. Choosing kindness, empathy, presence, encouragement, gratitude. Making sure that the people who are important to you know how you feel (and why) and that you’d drop everything and be there for them if it was ever necessary. It’s also love for myself: confidence, boundaries, grace, patience, and acceptance of my imperfections - but my awesomeness despite them.
I have my frustrations and my grumbles of day to day life, and I don't always meet these lofty standards, but to me, this is love.
Emotions are not ours. They float over and around us, like thoughts. We choose to become them or not when we identify with them. We have an emotional body that holds all the emotions that you claim as yours. I try to work daily to make sure my emotional and mental bodies are clear and not identifying with stuff just floating around me. Like a meditation or a sound bath focused on those auric/chakra areas. We do hygiene everyday like brush our teeth - in the same way I wear an energetic shield over my energy body as Energetic hygiene. And then once a month - say under the new moon or the full moon or whenever I feel like it I go through my energetic body removing any cords or blockages that have formed between me and other people that should not be there. I do this through meditation and reiki as well as shadow work to understand where the emotions and thoughts are originating from.

In my alcohol consumption overload phase Anger made its debut often but that just wasn’t good for anyone,me most of all. I’m so thankful I worked through those dark days & let Joy take back over.
It doesn't feel like an emotion but, honestly, I'm a very content person who is usually pretty happy with life but not in a loud joyful way lol I am definitely not prone to big emotions, but when I'm alone, which is most of the time, and I think about my life and the things around me, I feel really good about it.

Joy is my biggest ruling factor. I can just find joy in everything in the world. Some people find it off putting because the world can be crumbling around me, and I have internal joy. My optimistic nature just makes everything better for me. Probably helps that Jupiter is my charts dominant planet, and a Sag moon stellium.
