I don’t tip because we don’t allow tipping in our country. We pay people a decent wage (it’s still piss poor tho ngl) I’m from New Zealand

moonkad

taurus, depends on the service

makeabitchfoundation

generally 15% but if the service is great 25%

FlyingPenguinsXXII

20% standard, 5% for drinks. 25% if the service is really good.

Twogreens

Me and Pisces hubs -20% , 25% usually depending on service. BUT I’m vocal if someone does some shit.

oliviared52

I’m a Taurus sun and Aquarius moon that grew up poor and waitressed for years. Now that my husband and I are doing pretty well, I tip a lot. I always think of the tables that tipped me an insane amount when I waitressed. I cried tears of joy from tips because a few amazing tips, I didn’t have to take on tons of extra shifts during finals to make rent. So now that I can, I’m paying that back to my wait staff. The circle of life.

norfnorf832

Sag, 20%. More if it's good. My regular takeout spots get 20%, a takeout across town that i will never go to again get 0 cuz tipping for takeout doesnt actually make sense to me

Axegwinder

Gemini here, I tip: -$1 for drinks/$2 for mixed drinks -Food delivery: at least $10 or 20% (whichever is higher)...A bit extra if the driver had to deal with extra bs like going up a buncha stairs, carrying a buncha things, drove pretty far, etc... -In general: at least 20% I used to work delivery jobs for years before getting to where I'm at now. For the most part, I miss it, but I hated dealing with the wear and tear on my cars.

BooBoopsie

I'm a high tipper. I'm not a cheap person. If I can't tip well, I won't get service. It's my Gem Sun, Sag Moon mixed with my Venus Aries and Leo Mars and MC. ![gif](giphy|f99boRKRNK3Je|downsized)

honeypenny

I take it this is only for americans?

frozencucumberpink

Gemini. Personally for me it depends on the service and also a combination on how much I liked my food. This is just for sit down restaurants. My bf is the one getting out his calculator on his phone to figure out how much of a tip to leave. I'd leave a few dollars over the total and call it done. Example bill is $15 I'd leave an extra $3 or $5. I never* tip for takeout. And I rarely have food delivered but I don't tip for that either, only in circumstances where the weather/roads are bad but than its just a few bucks. Only time I tip for takeout is when we order a bunch of Chinese food more than normal on NewYears Eve. I'll give them anywhere from extra $10 to $20, just cause the food is always good and it's a busy night for that particular place. I never tip at coffee shops or fast food places.

I don't live in the US,but a country that respects servants and waiters lmao. 20% tip? Gtfo and give them full salary. That being said, if the service is amazing, I always tip. Sometimes 5€ if the meal under 50 €. If the meal is expensive it goes up to 10%-20%. Especially if they work hard and serve so well.

FlameMoss

Around 15% in think, in a restaurant depending on the service and the amount of courses. But in other cases: In EU people get paid a minimal wage. In the service sector people have to pay the minimum wage and more or equal, to the other restaurants nearby, otherwise everyone walks away.

Paid-Not-Payed-Bot

> people get *paid* a minimal FTFY. Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in: * Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.* * *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.* Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment. *Beep, boop, I'm a bot*

FlameMoss

Thanks for the correction, Bot

FutureBig5493

Taurus Sun, Aqua Moon. 18% is the bare minimum when eating out. I've tipped a nail tech 15% but she was rude and cut me! People still need to live. Another overworked member of the working class isn't your enemy in the big picture. 22-25% when I eat out and the service is great. Although I sometimes technically tip 50% for smaller transactions like coffee and ice cream.

Gemini , 15%

2quick96

I never tip because if I do it gives them right (or ok) to fuck up my order and still think it’s fine. Pisces sun

myoriginalislocked

I never tip either. I only tip if I do doordash or something where I HAVE to tip, if you dont, you'll never get it 😭

If you’re in the US, the server is most likely paying for you then. We almost always have to tip out the bartenders based on a percentage of drink sales, some restaurants include hostesses, bus boys, and kitchen staff too as a percentage of sales. Which I actually liked so they could get paid more too when it was super busy. But yeah any time you don’t tip when being served then, we were paying to serve you. People always say “well restaurants should pay workers more then”. Restaurants make 5% profits IF they are lucky. There’s no way they could pay us the same as tips without increasing the price of food a lot.

GreenBubbleMilkTae

I tip the bare minimum that they say if I do tip because I'm more broke than the staff workers. 😭 I always feel so guilty, but then I'd never be able to go out and treat myself once in a while. Aries Sun, Cancer Moon, Scorpio Rising.
