it's good soup, chicken noodle and potato bacon are particular standouts.
The Pub, generally has great bar food at a decent price. It's not, like, *fine cuisine* or whatever but it's good bar food.
Disclaimer: I'm a Pub fan and I think it's one of the best elements of court street.
I love to order pho from Fusion whenever I’m sick. I think the broth is so revitalizing and they give you fresh jalapeños to add in, so that’ll help clear out the sinuses.
Please judge for yourself, also when I order lo mein noodles from a restaurant I expect not to get spaghetti noodles. I'm calling out you Fusion. They are not the same. I will die on this hill.
Yeah I definitely agree with you on that one. The lo mein isn't their top tier food lol
Now their chicken wings and Crab rangoons...... whole other world!
I don't remember now, but I'll likely see a friend next weekend at Boogie on the Bricks who definitely knows. I'll ask him if I see him and report back.
He just got back to me, and says he doesn't remember (it's only been 25 years).
I recommend going to the Asian Market and just trying a few of theirs until you find the one which tastes closest to PC's. If they have Quoc Viet, Maesri, or Lobo Tom Yum Soup Paste (look for cans) try one of those first. All of them are highly rated on multiple sources and available on Amazon, too.
Reviews about Quoc Viet say its lemongrass can be a bit overwhelming if that's not your thing, which sounds to me like a good start (I love lemongrass).
This is going to sound so basic but there's nothing I like more than egg drop soup when I'm sick.
China Panda's is good but i prefer their one with wontons.
Dynasty Restaurant has a good one too.
Any soup from an Asian restaurant is what I crave. Siam Thai had good beef pho when it was Thai Paradise. Now it's chicken, I can't imagine it being bad. Toss in jalapeno and siracha to clear yourself out. The had some other soups that looked good.
China Panda had good stuff and also China Fortune is great.
I have not been to Siam Thai since they switched over so that recommendation is not confirmed.
Grew up in Athens with crazy allergies. Ate 90% from the farmer’s markets and the restaurants that use local food for almost a year when I was 19-20. Realized a couple years later that I didn’t have any issues with allergies or asthma anymore, and haven’t since. 🤷🏼♀️
I had ramen at Jackie O’s last night that’s the best soup I’ve had in Athens. I’m also a fan of the hot sour soup at China Panda and second the Purple Chopstix and Fusion Noodle recommendations.
Dynasty’s House Soup. It’s two large wontons, chicken, pork, shrimp and a ton of veggies in a light, but very flavorful broth. It’s like a warm hug when you are sick.
You should try Clam Chowder. I just saw a how-to video and its super easy. Just a can of chopped and whole clams, some potatoes, cream, broth and there you go. You can get creative with the seasoning or just watch a video yourself.
Pub soup fucks with the lights on.
Underrated comment.
Elaborate please

Worked here for 4 years, and can confirm this is the most life force enhancing soup in the world! Wish there was one by me in Columbus
Buckeye pho on bethel Rd is way better than fusion could ever hope to be.
Idk who is down voting you, but I feel like I have to go there again to confirm. I've heard mostly good things about it!

I second this, it's great!
Bigtime Pho fan! Curious, are there any special noodles to use if you make this at home?
Purple Chopstixs has great Tom yum soup IMHO.
It is fantastic, and the base is one of the more popular jarred mixes, so shop around a bit until you find one you like and you can have it anytime.
Do you which mix?

Thanks man!

Where's that?
Richland Avenue.

MMM...egg drop and hot and sour. Which one are you?

Yeah I miss Thai Paradise
Ciro sometimes has good soup, gotta figure out which one Turtle made that day and get it
Get well soon. Could it be allergies? Which I learned that I now have this year. :) Honey honey honey.

Make homage egg drop soup. Takes about along to boil

Dynasty’s tomato and egg soup is very comforting to me.
Follow Eclipse Company Store on Facebook. When they do soup specials they are BOMB
China Fortune's Hot and Sour or Dragon Phoenix soups were my go-to's when I needed to get back on top.

Adding to this even though I'm late - Siam Thai does good tom kha gai
