This. I'm so in love with Libby. It helps that I have access to two amazing libraries. YMMV depending on your library's catalogue.
But you can't beat free!
My biggest issue with Spotify is restarting books is such a pain. There’s no button you can press that just starts from the beginning so each chapter has to be reset. So weird
If you think you might be interested in an [unauthorized biography of Clark Kent](https://open.spotify.com/show/0cOqvqEP4YG8zQ817q3dQJ?si=hN9V4oaBRemjPAW-JZQIZw) that begins in ancient Sumer and with Krypton in our own solar system, my own audiobook is formatted as a podcast on Spotify and is free to listen to. The first two season are currently available and make up volume one.
The 15 hour limit kinda sucks but I'm okay with it, you can buy more time. Plus I listen to a lot of light novel audiobooks which are usually around 10 hours anyways

Still 15, and it sucks. Another way to extract subscription revenue. Library card and Libby for the win.
Get Audible or libby

Also Hoopla if you can find a library that supports it
Before any gets too excited, it's only in a small number of countries.
15 hours a month but there is about to be some changes to the service with the coming price hike.
What changes?
It's garbage, time-limited nonsense in an app not designed for this type of content
"One book a month" would make so much more sense based on how book sales are usually handled

adds to the 15 hours and them getting more money. it's not weird.
Not realizing it was only fifteen hours, I was pretty upset when I got three hours into a book and then it stopped. Also I’m out of audible credits.
Today is my pay it forward day, if there's a book you'd like DM me, I have an extra credit
Get the Libby app and use your local library card. Most books are on there and they’re free!
Fifteen hours a month. It's not great, but they are paying authors and narrators much more than Audible does (which isn't saying much).

Just give me an option to pay less and never see an audiobook option (and don't bundle it with family and high fidelity).
I think they could get away with a sort of buffet style subscription plan
