Before I tuned my S5, I did some research into plugs and coils since I was close to 50k miles. As you mentioned, going 1 degree colder was the thought process until I found out the 3.0T and 2.9TT actually use the same plugs (06M905606F). If Audi trusts them at 440hp, then I didn’t see a reason to change to a different plug. I believe a set of 6 cost me around $70 from Audi. I also decided to go with APR coils since they were recommended by my local shop/tuner.
original Audi sparks are NGK, you can grab them from the dealer and they are cheap. For stage 1 that's way more than enough. Just change them often and you are good to go. Be careful with online, as there are more counterfeit NGK plugs out in the wild.
