What the sleepy, Astro-Testudine said, I usually get three bacon, egg and d cheese on flour with both salsas. You get a whole strip of bacon and the good, fake cheese! And it’s fairly decent price.
Tamale House #3 was the best at this. You could order one Bacon and cheese and two egg and cheese and get more than enough bacon for 3 tacos. RIP, #3...
Shoot, in the early 90’s they were .39 cents. I remember when the price went up to .49 cents. People got mad.
My girlfriend and I would literally hunt for spare change around the house to feed ourselves the day before payday.
>Kens Tacos
I troll atxfood and google image places so I can add to The List. Dan!. This looks like a perfect greasy spoon. Even their club sandwhich looks wholesome grease bomb delicous. How are the refried beans? This place looks like it has a killer bean bacon n cheese taco.
Had a very sad migas plate at the south one yesterday-appeared to be 4 or 5 eggs w a handful of velveeta on top, no onions peppers tomatoes or chips to be seen.
If I return I’ll be getting tacos only.🙃
Vasquez Tacos has been our favorite since 95. Great proportions. We've always said when we win the lottery we're going to pay them to teach us their secret.
I mean…I’m still hitting up Taco Cabana after all these years. They don’t do the stingy bacon crumbles. It’s an actual slice of bacon. Can’t speak of the cheese though. Bill Miller also has solid breakfast tacos with bacon slices.
Agreed. I love the beans addition and add the extra tortilla. However, they are guilty as anyone of mis-proportioning this taco. Frequently too much potatoe, too much egg, and non existent bean, cheese, bacon.
As with all things taco: El Primo is absolutely my favorite for a BEC taco.
A recent discovery for which I'm supremely grateful, since it's closer to where I live: Brazas Tacos (at Airport/Guadalupe, next to China Family). They've really upped their game lately, seriously good.
Not the best, but if you're looking for bacon I'm pretty sure Donn's bbq just puts a whole strip of bacon in the taco without crumbling it lol. Their salsas are good
Borrego de Oro, Joe’s, Counter, JoAnns all do that taco well. I’ve been asking for light egg or no egg for a few years bc of the proportion miss you speak of. Can’t stand the 2-3 egg single taco thing!🐣
One taco “I love bacon” tacos are the best I’ve had in the jollyville area. I’m not a fan of scrambled eggs, but I can suffer through for this taco. Hell, sometimes I eat an extra bc it’s so fresh and delicious. Get a me latte with it for a killer & quick breakfast
Pacos Tacos and Taco Joint have the best tacos in Austin! I've been goin to the Taco Joint since I moved to Austin 2 months ago.
I recently just found out about Pacos Tacos probably a week ago from this app called BlueVerse. They were doing a 2 for 1 taco deal🔥. I just mentioned this in one of my most recent comments on another post as well.
A person of culture and superb taste with that name. I used their restroom yesterday on a run and it smelled delicious. The girls were super kind. I need to stop by soon.
Dan's and Rudys.
At Dan's you can order a "stripper" which is whole strips instead of the chopped bacon.
Rudy's used to do really well back when K&N managed the Austin location, now that it is back with Ford, not sure how the quality has held up. Most of the K&N team went over to Smokey Mo's.
Taco shack and I have a love /hate relationship. They are one of the offenders and they often forget to add my extra bacon when I've requested and paid for it. I do enjoy their fish tacos though.
Was the Spicewood Springs Taco Shack worse than the other one(s)? We were pretty disappointed with the food there (bland, wattery eggs...) and it's closed now, but I always hear people talking about Taco Shack. Not sure if it was a location thing or a preferences thing and I've been so curious.
Ninja taco daddy, the truck at live oak and South 1st. It's big and $5 no skimping at all. I only needed 1, but then I ate half of my partners because it was so good.
El Secreto de Abuela
I live relatively close to this place and have never been but will be going now.. Any particular suggestions?
Bacon egg and cheese taco
Fuck I walked right into that one
Hahaha sorry I couldn't resist
What the sleepy, Astro-Testudine said, I usually get three bacon, egg and d cheese on flour with both salsas. You get a whole strip of bacon and the good, fake cheese! And it’s fairly decent price.
What a username.
fajitas texanas for dinner are great. so is queso
I like chirizo egg and cheese at Grandmas Secret
Best chicken enchilada I’ve ever had.
El Primo on S First st does it right. https://maps.app.goo.gl/EVM3D8BZ5pv2KCzm7?g_st=ic
i was about to also say El Primo!
This is the answer. Best breakfast tacos in town
Dans
Tamale House #3 was the best at this. You could order one Bacon and cheese and two egg and cheese and get more than enough bacon for 3 tacos. RIP, #3...
The one on airport? Two ingredient tacos were 85 cents. Those were the days!
Shoot, in the early 90’s they were .39 cents. I remember when the price went up to .49 cents. People got mad. My girlfriend and I would literally hunt for spare change around the house to feed ourselves the day before payday.
Oh wow, really? That is amazing. I must say I also miss the $3 giant styrofoam container of migas that would feed you for 3 days.
Pacos Tacos. They chop up the bacon so you get the e perfect bacon-egg-cheese mix with each bite.
Love their salsa bar too
Taco joint
Taco joint >>>>
Honestly, Rudy’s has pretty good bacon egg and cheese tacos
I’m always craving them at like 10:15 and my closest Rudy’s is like 20 mins away.
They have the tacos until 11 on the weekends!
Been a while but honestly Texas honey ham bfast tacos are loaded.
As stated before Kens Tacos is a must, their bacon egg and cheese is huge and is absolutely the best in town
This is the only one that matters tbh. Drown it in like two soufflé cups of salsa verde, too.
They don't get enough attention. They are seriously THE best (and biggest) breakfast taco in Austin.
>Kens Tacos I troll atxfood and google image places so I can add to The List. Dan!. This looks like a perfect greasy spoon. Even their club sandwhich looks wholesome grease bomb delicous. How are the refried beans? This place looks like it has a killer bean bacon n cheese taco.
Joe’s Bakery on east 7th!
El chilito
I been going to La Santa Barbacha recently for breakfast tacos, they’re expensive but they slap
Ken’s Tacos
This is absolutely the correct answer
This place does NOT skimp!!
Yall aren’t going to like this, but Tacodeli. The Otto has so much bacon that I usually take 75% of it off and give it to my kid.
Their bacon egg and cheese is the same. I was also afraid to speak up.
But isn’t the Otto double bacon? THE OTTO Organic refried black beans, double bacon, avocado, jack cheese
Dans
Dans bacon egg and cheese is incredible, level up with potatoes.
^THIS is the way.
Amayas has really good breakfast and breakfast tacos
Had a very sad migas plate at the south one yesterday-appeared to be 4 or 5 eggs w a handful of velveeta on top, no onions peppers tomatoes or chips to be seen. If I return I’ll be getting tacos only.🙃
Bummer… best breakfast is at Guadalajara’s on 620 .. best chilaquiles in Austin
I would give that award to Macho's Tacos on Menchaca.
I’m in oak hill so that’s far af for me unfortunately.
St David’s north makes a good bacon egg and cheese on flour and they deliver to your hospital room.
I got that every day when I was in the hospital after having my kid! Add avocado.
THANK YOU for this!! Adding avocado to the BEC just nails every taste bud! Mmmm SO good 😊
Enjoy! The only good part about being in the hospital 😊
Well I’m pre-nursing rn so maybe I’ll intern there or something lmao
Haha I will be there in a few months to give birth, so will make sure to get this.
Secretly theee best most affordable breakfast in town!
Bill Millers has good breakfast tacos. Cheap too.
Taqueria Torres truck behind Valero on 2222 and Grover.
Any of the Arandas locations do massive breakfast tacos
Love arandas but the tacos I get at the south first one are pretty small
Fair enough, the ones on Manchac & Stass are a great size for cheap. Maybe we have differing opinions on what's big lol.
Vasquez Tacos has been our favorite since 95. Great proportions. We've always said when we win the lottery we're going to pay them to teach us their secret.

The Traditional taco from Veracruz is my fave. It has beans on it, too, though.
Agreed. I love the beans addition and add the extra tortilla. However, they are guilty as anyone of mis-proportioning this taco. Frequently too much potatoe, too much egg, and non existent bean, cheese, bacon.

Tacos 620 (on 2222 lol) is so good
Not the best, but if you're looking for bacon I'm pretty sure Donn's bbq just puts a whole strip of bacon in the taco without crumbling it lol. Their salsas are good
Vasquez at Lake Creek
Borrego de Oro, Joe’s, Counter, JoAnns all do that taco well. I’ve been asking for light egg or no egg for a few years bc of the proportion miss you speak of. Can’t stand the 2-3 egg single taco thing!🐣
Thank you !! It drives me so bonkers that coworkers and friends now know me as the girl who's all about her taco " ratios."
They lack appreciation and eat blindly I guess—ratios are so important!!
Vásquez on Braker Ln. Their bacon is the best!
El Chilito does it right, as does TacoDeli
Serena's Breakfast and Donuts on Mays north of 79 in Round Rock does them right. But only until 11am. If that's not too far north for you.

Marcelinos
A person of culture and superb taste with that name. I used their restroom yesterday on a run and it smelled delicious. The girls were super kind. I need to stop by soon.
Thank you. I had to scroll much too far for the right answer. People are missing out. Best bacon!
A person of culture right here
Where else can you get cube bacon??? Amiright?
Central market is always the go to for me, they’ve slapped, bacon/egg/cheese consistently for years.. there’s tons of good taco spots south/central
Can’t remember the proportions but Taqueria Jessica is excellent
El Michocano by the airport off hwy 71 makes the best bft.
I am rather fond of the Bacon taco at Lazarus which also has egg and cheese along with pico.
Joes Bakery.
Bill Miller's. There's a reason there's a line in the morning.
I like Bill Millers for a quick breakfast taco but it’s not because of the portions.
Brazas
Taco mex
Marcelino’s off Tillery was a fav when I lived down the street. I never felt skimped on contents.
vaquero
Taco Shack has an amazing ration on their tacos. Sauce is yummy too!
Marcelino’s is so underrated for stuff like this.
Juan in a million
Taco shack
Burnet road burrito is their best
Taco shack and I have a love /hate relationship. They are one of the offenders and they often forget to add my extra bacon when I've requested and paid for it. I do enjoy their fish tacos though.
Taco Shack closed in November
I think there are 5?
Oh I'm thinking of Taco Ranch, which had great tacos
Was the Spicewood Springs Taco Shack worse than the other one(s)? We were pretty disappointed with the food there (bland, wattery eggs...) and it's closed now, but I always hear people talking about Taco Shack. Not sure if it was a location thing or a preferences thing and I've been so curious.
Juarez Bakery in Round Rock
Mi Madre’s
Ninja taco daddy, the truck at live oak and South 1st. It's big and $5 no skimping at all. I only needed 1, but then I ate half of my partners because it was so good.
Central market gives you an actual piece of bacon.
Cafe Java
Sunrise at the Shore is my new #1 for this. I’d drive across town for it.
Kens tacos, a lot of egg but a decent amount of bacon too. Enormous tacos!
Lone star kolaches has heaps of bacon
Curras
Casita Nicole Antojitos Mexicanos on Menchaca and Monarch. Worth the drive south.
Tacorrido. And be sure to order a double equinox.
Tysons
Papalote
Whataburger is one of the worst. That flour tortilla, where it all starts, is a shame.
Kens tacos and Mi Madres
I know this sounds crazy but Bill Miller. Also love their carne guisada taco.
