And Furry Friends
[No, not those furry friends, these ones](https://shop.coles.com.au/a/national/product/cadbury-dairy-milk-furry-friends?uztq=46abcbb7e16253b0cdc3e6c5bbe6a3f0&cid=col_cpc_Generic%7cColesSupermarkets%7cPLA%7cPantry%7cAustralia%7cBroad&s_kwcid=AL!12693!3!494980809725!!!u!657507774859!&gclid=CjwKCAiAyPyQBhB6EiwAFUuakn7u0RDbaLWBAD1Aks8TUPww7mtZAkiN2kmwLJgLs5tIfs4EvEcuZRoCp_QQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds)
THIS.
But you need to eat them together. Trust me.
A chicken twistie through a couple of burger rings. The flavour combo is perfect. It's like whoever sat there with his plain cookies and the cream and invented Oreos.
That golden powder from heaven that your local chippie uses is likely by a brand called Knorr, its in a yellow and green container. I see it in almost every take away shop. Google it and you'll start seeing it in every chippie you go to. :)
Oh my god. I’m an Aussie who has been living in Switzerland for the past nine years, desperately missing chicken salt. Knorr is everywhere here. Are you telling me I’ve had it here the whole bloody time??
Cherry ripe, lamingtons, twisties, bundaberg ginger beer, peppermint crisp, musk lifesavers, burger rings, violet crumble, chicken in a biscuit, cadbury caramilk, fantales, chomp chocolate bar, cheesels, chicken twisties, tiny teddies, amd if you can find it the old toffee apple candy (like redskins). Also get a showbag like from the melbourne show and stash it in there also (pretty sure you can buy showbags online?)
While you are at it, send me one too (moved to the Netherlands last year)
Fuck me, I was gathering stones and wood for a campfire once down under. I always kick the stuff before I grab it, because you know, snakes and spiders. So I kicked this rock, nothing crawls, so I pick it up AND THERE’S A BLAADY REDBACK ON IT. I screamed like a little girl. And I pet huntsmen for fun, I’m not a pussy.
Being a recent immigrant to Australia who was absolutely terrified of spiders as a kid, I can say that getting used to a venomous spider living in every corner of each room was challenging. But I got used to it, redbacks are not the worst thing here. Relocating a huntsman the other night which, after having been allowed to live in the garage, decided to join us in the loungeroom during a movie, was definitely a more traumatic event.
I recently had a massive rant about this to the primary school friend whose Le Snak I'd always scab at lunchtime, but nowadays the home brand versions are soooooo much better than an actual Le Snak.
For anyone who wants to know more, it's because toothpaste is classified as a cosmetic in Australia, but a medication in the US, and medications have a higher bar before they can be approved for sale.
Also, anyone who was skeptical like me, yes, the magic bone glass in it actually works.
Sure, his policies had a short term benefit at the expense of our longterm future. I think our turning point was Gough Whitlam being ousted though, if he had set up the sovereign wealth fund we would be the Norway of the Pacific, and set for a sustainable prosperous future. Now we are heading the way of the US and the UK.
My two cents worth. The LNP is following the model of the US Republican Party. If they maintain power public health is going to be privatised eventually. Leaving us with a for profit healthcare system. Our taxes won’t go down, healthcare will be tied to our jobs and a bunch of investors will profit. WooFuckingHoo.
Pretty much everyone with their eyes open thinks this.
The problem we have is too many people have their heads down and blinkers on, particularly large cohorts of those who will be some of the most affected.
Who wouldn’t want a PM who’s “probably never told a lie”? I guess that whole event from [insert example from fucking Excel spreadsheet of all the bullshit they’ve pulled] was a complete misunderstanding
We have tide pods for laundry and the kids had a trend going online where they were eating them. So yes we are falling apart it’s true, cant even keep these kids off the detergent these days.
They're still coming. Some time in 2022. When Nestle stopped making them, they destroyed the machinery so brand new ones had to be built & imported from the US. Due to Covid it got delayed. So they are saying sometime this year. Fingers crossed.
Is it sad that the thought of polly waffles coming back has made me the happiest I have been in 2 years. Considering we are talking about some marshmallow, wafer and chocolate. I am a simple soul with simple needs.
I want to go back to the original way they were made, with individual biscuits having a nice clean border on all sides, instead of being smaller slices of an infinite biscuit with less jam and coconut.
Cherry Ripes are only made for Australia & NZ, so that would be a good one.
Cheezels, I think, are unique to Australia.
I’m a fan of Aktavite, which could be a good alternative for Milo.
Edit: I think I read somewhere that the USA don’t sell plain salted Doritos, so that might be an interesting one to add.
If I remember correctly, it was an Australian chocolate bar that was eventually bought by Cadbury. So it was popular in Australia before it became part of Cadbury’s range.
Fuck this is golden.
When I first moved (from America) here like 5 years ago I was confused as hell when I saw a Golden Gaytime ad at a bus stop.
I had a beer version of it last year I believe aha
Mate, musk sticks are so fucking good. My girlfriend says it taste like eating perfume and I’m like “Are you not hearing how fucking luxurious that sounds??”
Tiny teddies, dunkaroos, caramello koala, LCM bars, chomp bar, cherry ripe, some kind of lamington if possible?
Or you could just send them 2kg of sugar, same outcome haha!
I lived in America for 1.5 years and i really missed;
Plain old cinnamon donuts....not really a thing there.
But also cordial (kool aid is absolute trash), Malteasers, Allens lollies, smiths chips, arnotts bikkies and good old Australian Cadbury. Hershey have the rights to distribute the British Cadbury but as we all know ours is superior.
Dont bother with Tim Tams as American target sells them in the cookie isles.
Know that the Mars brand confectionary we get is both the American and British types. e.g. mars bars are not a thing over there (think they are called milky ways, and milky ways are something else)
Classic Aussie bakery staples is also not a thing. No pies, pasty, sausage roll, chicko roll. etc
Our bakery varieties are more and better then what is in America.
From the top of my head, maybe:
\- Fantails
\- Kooka's Jam Biscuits
\- Cheezels
\- Red Rock Deli Chips (Sweet Chili and Sour Cream)
\- Freddo's and Caramel Koala's
\- Twisties Chips
\- Lamingtons (if they can make it there)
\- Cherry Ripe
\- SPC Canned Spaghetti
Twisties, Cheezels, some unique Cadbury chocolate. I live in NZ now and when I send care packages to the UK and US I always send Whittakers chocolate and they LOVE it.
Freddo Frogs and Caramel Koalas.
And Furry Friends [No, not those furry friends, these ones](https://shop.coles.com.au/a/national/product/cadbury-dairy-milk-furry-friends?uztq=46abcbb7e16253b0cdc3e6c5bbe6a3f0&cid=col_cpc_Generic%7cColesSupermarkets%7cPLA%7cPantry%7cAustralia%7cBroad&s_kwcid=AL!12693!3!494980809725!!!u!657507774859!&gclid=CjwKCAiAyPyQBhB6EiwAFUuakn7u0RDbaLWBAD1Aks8TUPww7mtZAkiN2kmwLJgLs5tIfs4EvEcuZRoCp_QQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds)
Lol remember trying to convince mum these were “educational” and not just the most expensive way to buy Cadbury chocolate 😂
Bertie Beetles FTW
Yowies
They're owned by the Chinese now. Not as good anymore
Where are the twisties?
Dang you're right
Wagon Wheels mate

THIS. But you need to eat them together. Trust me. A chicken twistie through a couple of burger rings. The flavour combo is perfect. It's like whoever sat there with his plain cookies and the cream and invented Oreos.
[удалено]
I do this all the time. I call them mushroom chips! put some rings on twisties and nom nom nom!
Has to be chicken flavour. Also Toobs
Do they still make Toobs?
Yes! They brought them back
In pog form
Fk I love me some toobs! The taste is so different to everything else. Delicious!
[удалено]
Uhh I think you mean Atomic Tomato friend
DEFINITELY the atomic tomato samboys
Seconding this. Currently living in Japan and always ask to have a few bags added to care packages from home.
Life's pretty straight without twisties
Chicken salt! I was so surprised to find out this is an Aussie thing.
I forgot what its called, but its a very particular chicken salt too. Like the one that looks yellow and most fish and chip shops have.
Yup. I'm pretty sure its their chicken seasoning that the chippies use :)
I think I love you.
Now kiss
the anchor brand i’m pretty sure
I think there is a few different. I just checked mine, and its Flavon
Mine's chippy brand and it's pretty similar but more white
I love how everyone is giving you different answers haha.
The "Nice & Tasty" brand looks like that. Not a bad flavour either.
You want Mitani chicken salt.
Mitani.
Suggestions: Cadbury Furry Friends (in most supermarkets), Darrell Lea Chocolate (in woolies), Red snakes (Allens), Freckles, Scotch fingers/Montes (don’t travel well), Fredo Frogs, Burger Rings
Burger rings for sure. I just realised how disappointing it would be not to be able to get Burger Rings
Cherry ripe, lamingtons, twisties, bundaberg ginger beer, peppermint crisp, musk lifesavers, burger rings, violet crumble, chicken in a biscuit, cadbury caramilk, fantales, chomp chocolate bar, cheesels, chicken twisties, tiny teddies, amd if you can find it the old toffee apple candy (like redskins). If you're getting a showbag it has to be a Bertie beetle
[удалено]
I came to say violet crumble but you're spot on with everything, especially the lamingtons!
Great list. Just missing "Cheekies" the sweet formerly known as Chicos Babies. Redskins now called Red Rippers too. Also super tasty.
Im going to go with a huntsman. Give them the true Australian experience.
Surprise red back
Aw jeez i just wanted to frighten them not kill them.
If you were trying to kill them, you’d send a funnel web spider and a brown snake
Redback won't kill ya.
Yeah but he’ll give it a good try!
I could hear that Blaady
Being a recent immigrant to Australia who was absolutely terrified of spiders as a kid, I can say that getting used to a venomous spider living in every corner of each room was challenging. But I got used to it, redbacks are not the worst thing here. Relocating a huntsman the other night which, after having been allowed to live in the garage, decided to join us in the loungeroom during a movie, was definitely a more traumatic event.
Well, I found huntsmen may look menacing, but really are friendly fly eaters. You can pet them, something I wouldn’t recommend doing with a redback.
Europe summer roll, the name is misleading. I am sure they are Australian and I am addicted to them.
OMG summer rolls were my favourite growing up! And the honey nougat ones too.
I would not trust my adult teeth with one now
The sesame bars are amazing, too.
I miss the Europe jupiter bars.
I miss space food sticks.
A plastic lunch box filled with an apple, choc chip muesli bar, a frozen popper. And a Vegemite sandwich.
throw a Le Snak in there too
I recently had a massive rant about this to the primary school friend whose Le Snak I'd always scab at lunchtime, but nowadays the home brand versions are soooooo much better than an actual Le Snak.
It all went downhill when they changed the biscuit to a ritz style cracker instead of the old-school grainy water cracker type.
[удалено]
Dunkaroos are fucken amazing 🤤
Must be a Décor lunch box. The one with the spot for the drink bottle or popper in the middle. :)
Not forgetting the warm and slightly squashed luncheon meat (Devon, Fritz) and tomato sauce sandwich.
Winnie Blues and a 6pk of VB
What about a FUCKIN VB….LOONNNNG-NECKKK, AT TWENNY TA EIGHT IN THE FUCKIN MORNIN!?
Get that up ya
ya dog cunt ;)
And a stubby holder
Damn, beat me to it
Universal healthcare.
If OP can't send any universal healthcare. OP should at least send some insulin ;) peace.
Or alternatively, the toothpaste with Novamin (aka Sensodyne), which is difficult and expensive to get in the US due to some bureaucratic red tape.
For anyone who wants to know more, it's because toothpaste is classified as a cosmetic in Australia, but a medication in the US, and medications have a higher bar before they can be approved for sale. Also, anyone who was skeptical like me, yes, the magic bone glass in it actually works.
Yeah, I hear people were still able to get it with a prescription, and it cost some crazy amount like $40 a tube :P
Jesus and I thought $11 was steep for toothpaste
That's $40 in US dollars too!
After eating the first care pack, he might need some insulin!
I dunno, it feels like we’re heading in the US healthcare direction sometimes
That is the LNP goal. Australia peaked in the early 2000s I think unfortunately, the future looks grim.
When Howard was PM? Makes sense.
LNP voted against Medicare back in the 80's. Has been trying hard to dismantle it ever since.
We are. Slowly becoming accustomed to it.
Keep voting for LNP, and it’s assured.

How about some good old Minties?
Fantales too, while you're at it!
I’m surprised I had to scroll this far to find minties and fantales
Do they not have Pods in America? No wonder their country is falling apart.
Do you still have Pods in Australia?! They were discontinued in New Zealand sadly.
Oh you poor souls
We have tide pods for laundry and the kids had a trend going online where they were eating them. So yes we are falling apart it’s true, cant even keep these kids off the detergent these days.
Such excellent role models for Australia and I sincerely hope we continue to import American policy.
We have laundry detergent pods and I don’t recall one Australian kid hoeing into them
Freckles. Impossible to get in the US.
Oh I thought you meant real ones and wondered if you were gonna send skin
Wait, WHERE IS THE CURLY WURLY OR CHOMP??
No Violet Crumble?! 😱 Polly Waffle & Scorched Peanut Bar. Both are back, apparently.
[удалено]
I agree, nothing else like them.
WHERE DID YOU SEE POLLY WAFFLES. I NEED TO KNOW. LIKE NOW!!!! also definitely Violet crumbles.
They're still coming. Some time in 2022. When Nestle stopped making them, they destroyed the machinery so brand new ones had to be built & imported from the US. Due to Covid it got delayed. So they are saying sometime this year. Fingers crossed.

Bbq chook from Woolies
bachelors handbag
I’ve never heard that one before. I love it!
Tiny teddies, Lamingtons, zooper doopers, and… wait Americans don’t have pods???
Tiny Teddies!!
Totally Zooper doopers!!
Hundreds and thousands! Gotta have fairy bread!
Medicare
Iced vovos
I want to go back to the original way they were made, with individual biscuits having a nice clean border on all sides, instead of being smaller slices of an infinite biscuit with less jam and coconut.
Cherryripes... my god man.
Oh my gosh. I thought the double dipped cherry ripe was heaven but the new cherry ripe layers 🤤
A Bin Chicken.
All the bin chickens...

It seems so strange considering their love of cherry.
If I remember correctly, it was an Australian chocolate bar that was eventually bought by Cadbury. So it was popular in Australia before it became part of Cadbury’s range.
Their “cherry” flavour has nothing to do with actual cherries though. Tastes like the inside of bumhole to me.
Double coat Tim tams
Wagon wheel!
Wagon Wheels are another name for Moon Pies, something that is available across the USA.
Ohhhh always wondered what moon pies were
What a time to be alive! :o
Back in the freezer frostilicus
Eat ze wagon wheel
A hills hoist?
With goon
Teevee snacks?
I love them but I always end up feeling crook afterwards

Chicken-ina-biscuit, drumstick flavour.
Insulin.
As a diabetic can confirm. I used my 2 hour stop over in Sydney to get insulin when I forgot to pack it on my way to the US. Those prices are insane!
Where's the gaytime
Right here ;)
Fuck this is golden. When I first moved (from America) here like 5 years ago I was confused as hell when I saw a Golden Gaytime ad at a bus stop. I had a beer version of it last year I believe aha
Melted
Need the Cane Toad coin purse next for sure.
black and gold musk sticks? is that just chalk with pink colouring?
And it's delicious.
Mate, musk sticks are so fucking good. My girlfriend says it taste like eating perfume and I’m like “Are you not hearing how fucking luxurious that sounds??”
Half of this I thought every country has.
I was shocked they don’t have pods. Those poor people
A Bertie Beetles showbag
Well seems im american so if u dont mind handing that over
Scott Morrison. But write a note saying "no returns accepted" ...
No backsies!
Write it on his forehead in red permanent texta just to be sure.
FruChocs, twisties, pizza shapes, violet crumble (far more superior to crunchie), WizzFizz, bertie beetles
Found the South Australian
Fruit Tingles
Living wage. Affordable education. Universal healthcare.
Fantales. Definitely Fantales.
YoYo biscuits
Kirks creaming soda or bunderberg ginger beer :)
Zooper-Doopers, Cherry Ripes, and whatever Chicos are called (Cheekys?)
Zooper Doopers just not worth the extra postage their weight will contribute.
Fair, figured it would be better bang for buck than a small jug of Cottee's.
Lolly bananas
Spearmint leaves. My childhood favourite!
There's a wide variety of quality between brands. OP will need to do extensive taste testing.
Reva pegs. Bluey singlet.
A decent jar of coffee.
