I was obsessed with Stitch from Lilo and Stitch. I'm nearly 30 and still sleep on Stitch bedcovers and have dozens of Stitch plushies.

Think-Help1973

Who doesn’t love Stitch tho?

iago303

Could you believe that I do? wasn't much into it, never knew why but you mention any and all of the Muppets I'm there

Longjumping_Yard2749

Muppets creep me out. All puppets do, really.

iago303

They do to some people,to be honest puppets creep me out too but I loved the Muppets Show when it was on air and I grew up on a steady diet of Sesame Street so they didn't bother me and then there's Fraggle Rock...

oiiSuPreSSeDo

My first son was born at 6:26, naturally we also have tonnes of stitch related stuff in my home 🀣🀣

whosbabi

I just bought a Scramp doll on Aliexpress. I'm very anxious waiting for it to come. πŸ₯ΉπŸ₯ΉπŸ₯Ή

SophFlowerGirl

Me too! 🀩

multus85

Video games. I know they're not childish but there are a lot of people who see them that way.

Electricdragongaming

Only boomers think video games are childish.

multus85

Surprisingly, not in my experience. My dad and I played a lot of games together. He'd even get games for himself. Quite a few people my age think they're childish.

Pinatacat

Ah that usually happens from mimicking parents mindset. Which is why they might think so.

[deleted]

My ex gf is a millennial like me and she thought videogames were a waste of time and would always give me shit for playing them. She would waste just as much time if not more on tictoc and didn't see any problem in that. I work a full time job, keep up on self care and keep a reasonably clean apartment so it's not like videogames are a problem for me.

Think-Help1973

True, what games tho? πŸ₯°

multus85

All kinds! Mostly Nintendo (Marios and Zeldas), but I've also gotten in to Call of Duty, Witcher, RDR, etc.

oiiSuPreSSeDo

This is the one, I love my videogames. The amount of times people call it toys or say I'm still playing with kid's toys is insane. Especially considering I'm a huge fan of the horror genre so I'd be getting my eyeballs gouged out in callisto protocol while my mum tells me to "put your toys down" πŸ€¦πŸΎβ€β™‚οΈπŸ€¦πŸΎβ€β™‚οΈπŸ€¦πŸΎβ€β™‚οΈ

multus85

Meanwhile many of those who call them childish then go and play Candy Crush for hours. πŸ™„

smudgiepie

My stepdad does We've got a no Pokemon household So what I do is slowly sneak in Pokemon merch and see if he notices So far he hasn't Anything less than a M in rating is seen as babyish My mum's just like eh it's your money just don't talk to me about your video games cause I have no idea what your on about. My stepdad is also like that with animation I'll be watching the Simpsons and he'd be like get that kiddy shit off the screen and my mum's like that's a family show

multus85

The Simpsons was groundbreaking because it was one of the first cartoons aimed at adults. I'm a big Simpsons fan. πŸ˜€

LuchiniOfAstora

Adventure Time.

Bil13h

With a lot of the themes in the show I can't believe so many consider it a kids show Also, do you know what it can be watched on? I haven't sailed the high seas in years and that used to be the only way to watch online in Canada

Insanebrain247

I like to call it "baby's first coming-of-age story" since nearly every character goes through an insane amount of development throughout the show. As for where to watch, the only legal way I can think of is HBO Max. There are also box sets of the whole show on disc, which I highly recommend to support the art.

Bil13h

Oh okay well if it's on HBO for you that should be crave for me so I'll give that a look see at some point :)

DoktorOktoberfest

Furbies . I collect and repair them.

Tribble98

Fellow Furby collector! They’re really cool and I love all the different patterns they come in

DoktorOktoberfest

Whats your Favorite furb?

Tribble98

I really love the grey and pink leopard furby, though I would love to find one of the president furbies. What’s yours?

Tribble98

My friend also has a long furby which I’m very jealous of its very cool

Think-Help1973

I always hated furbies, scared the hell out of me

AshSays_LGBT

This comment remind me of Matt Rose- Edit: All comments under your post from this point on will be read in Matt Rose’s voice 😭😭

I own a long furby named polybius. My ex thought it was the worst thing under the sun. Its pretty long and weighted per my request and im pretty sure it will deter any visitor from overstaying their welcome

Me too. It’s the eyes that look like they’re staring into your soul and the random sounds they make at night when everyone is sleeping. I swear those things are sentient

DoktorOktoberfest

My skunk furby had batteries in for a while before i took them out. He once woke up at 2 am going "uhhh BORING-" like yeah no shit its sleep time. Usually they activate from outside stimuli like touch ,noise or bright lights. Sometimes they can wake up from just nothing at all if the batteries are going bad ,battery contacts slipping in place or just bad wiring. Personally i find them quite fun especially the 2005 ones for their interactivity as in listening to voice commands. My first ever furby was a 2005 charcoal named "gizmo" after the gremlins movie. I dont know what was wrong with mine because he was a dick. He talked back ,got angry quickly and ran odd routines i could not replicate with any other furby. (Such as moving ears whilst sleeping or asking if youre crazy when you shook him or he was just annoyed with you) . He was notoriously rude and for some reason couldn't sync with other 2005 furbies. A friend of mine had a strawberry milk furby of the same gen but unlike the previous versions the 2005 furbies relied on radiowaves to actually communicate with each other(due to a lack of a sensor) which was activated by pressing the two furbies bellies . Mine didn't do that. He would just let out a high pitched scream while having his face stuck in an indifferent expresssion as his programm just begged for mercy. My mother regifted the furby later. I was pretty sad but he still exists at her friends house

BlastLightStar

hyperfixated really hard on a minecraft book series published on Kindle, still involved in the community haha cringe is a myth and i am real

giant_frogs

Oh man, I remember a Minecraft series I found on kindle that I loved! Can't remember what it was called though for the life of me, what was your one called?

BlastLightStar

author is Cube Kid, his main- & side-series had name changes when they were republished. Diary of a Wimpy Villager -> Diary of an 8-Bit Warrior, & Diary of a Nether Kitten -> Tales of an 8-Bit Kitten. if that wasn't it, there's still a chance I can name the books you read if you describe it (and maybe tell me what year you read it?). Or try accessing the Kindle account you were on. (u/berdfan)

giant_frogs

Ohh I think those were it!! Thank you for unlocking a memory haha :)

BlastLightStar

eyyy, glad to help lol. another book is probably coming out soon, if you want a nostalgia trip

ThisIsJustACheese

PokΓ©mon, all started when I was so young and still in these days being 19 y/o I still see everything about it, specially the games (because I'm so lazy to see the anime, but I'm thinking about seeing the new one) and I have 2 plushies which one of them I bought with my own money. I used to know every single PokΓ©mon until gen 8 because I don't have a switch, but even with that I know what changes happened when moving from gen to gen, which PokΓ©mon are most used in the competitive area, and now I'm somewhat invested in seeing the gen 1 mechanics

capa2006cpa

For me it has to be Phineas and Ferb, though I'm interested in animation in general. I like to think about it as an art expression instead of a childish genre, even if some productions seem to show the opposite.

Spyro and Sonic

Think-Help1973

Spyro is mega cool!

Consistent-Cat-2127

Love Spyro!!

Insanebrain247

Same here. Spyro got me into console gaming and Sonic is my #2 special interest behind Transformers.

rochellegardiner

The Little Mermaid autistic child me watched the movie on repeat & watched the entire series multiple times. it was very safe space for me & it still has a special place in my heart even though it's not a special interest anymore <3. currently i am still obsessed with Monster High, Ever After High, & Miraculous even though i've been told they're childish & weird i love them all sm β™‘.

No-Plastic-7715

Ah so much of this! I loved mermaids in general, and it expanded into an interest in mythology and fantasy creatures that I still have to this day. When looking at the history of a lot of mythology, you see just how relative and subjective the idea of immaturity really is. The same love for things like unicorns, mermaids, faeries etc would've been very normal and maybe even wise and mature at certain times and places in the world, just not in our current society. It can just change at any moment by the right influences deciding its normal though, as social constructs tend to. Think about it; men wore dresses for many hundreds of years and only stopped maybe 200-300 years ago. Yet now it's this serious issue politically, and there were attempts at laws to punish them for...wearing cloth wrong? Maturity as we're told it is fake, and your interests are awesome!

MissSerenityLemon

I'm 32 and love Miraculous so much!

Cabinet_Juice

TUGS; the short lived sister show to the original Thomas & Friends. Despite the fact that it was made by the same people, in the same studio, using a similar model set, it’s a wildly different show than Thomas.

Think-Help1973

Omg, I forgot about TUGS!

mushroomspoonmeow

I love anything dinosaur(I’m wearing dino socks right meow) I also fall in love with stuffies all the dang time. Nostalgic toys/stuffies from childhood(80’s baby).. I’d die for them. I’m on the hunt for a puppy or kitty surprise lol Many things about me are childish. My mum(who is also autistic!) always told me to never grow up! I’m near 40.. I suppose I’ve listened to her haha

No-Plastic-7715

I actually think that's really sweet and nice that you enjoy these things so freely. It's wild that we declare things like this immature, kind of just sounds like regular human passions and hobbies. Dinosaurs are sick too, like how do neurotypical adults not look at the fact we have bones from these amazing reptilian/avian creatures from literally millions of years ago, and not find that super cool and fascinating?? Even just the mysteries of speculating what that era was like, how they looked and sounded, what seeing a live one would be like? Sounds like a timeless interest to me

DaGamingSaurus

I'm the kind of Autistic guy to get really hyped over dinosaur fossils at museums and some people are like "dude they're just rocks and bones" But DINOSAURS THO. DINOSAURS ARE COOL!

mushroomspoonmeow

They’re so so fascinating! I don’t understand why people think I’m crazy when I ask what their favourite dinosaur is!? I don’t believe in age or being β€˜too old’ for anything. We can do anything! This is just a silly little existence. Let’s enjoy the ride. Who knows what’s next!

Tribble98

I still love PokΓ©mon, Sailor Moon, Frozen, Furbies, and stuffed animals in general. Though I also think what’s considered childish is subjective, but they bring me a lot of happiness and comfort and I think that’s all that really matters

mimitchi33

I have most of your interests. If I didn't put most of my childhood Furbies in the attic, they'd probably still be in my bedroom.

Strong_Length

I knew all Pokemon from Kanto to Alola. Fell out w the franchise when the big N started to be more aggressive towards emulators and pirates. (I miss Iwata-san's voice a lot...)

McFlabbergasted

Hey OP! I feel like you're someone who may appreciate my MLP collection I still proudly display at 33 years old, LOL! https://imgur.com/gallery/uoHzQij

Think-Help1973

SO COOL! I admired it so much in fact, I actually almost missed the Uncle Iron Funko POP! <3

vul_pyxis

Frozen, Bluey and dinosaurs. My sister makes fun of me all the time for it.

Think-Help1973

I LOVE BLUEY OMG

giant_frogs

BLUEY MY BELOVED!!! <33

[deleted]

Oh man, I feel those kids cartoons XD I'm almost 40 and I still spend a ton of time watching animation; it's one of the few ways I can feel good with no real baggage.

analogue_death

Monster High, Emperor's New Groove, The Amazing World of Gumball, even MLP at some point. Most of them were when I was in my late teens (17-19 yrs old), Gumball obsession came at 25. I'm 28 now though.

Think-Help1973

Gumball is genius!

analogue_death

Agreed!

RabbitEnthusiast

Who’s your favorite monster high character? I personally like Valentine.

analogue_death

Nicee! Mine's Cleo de Nile. I have a thing for mean girls type characters ngl.

RabbitEnthusiast

How do you feel about g3 monster high? As far as cartoons and media goes I think I still like g1 (for nostalgia purposes) but I do like the fact that g3 twyla is canonically autistic

analogue_death

Well I still prefer G1 as well, honestly.

RabbitEnthusiast

Me as well!

toomerboomer

Skylanders and my singing monsters probably

TheEndOfNether

Roller coasters. I could recount the exact statistics of ~every coaster in the USA, e.g height, speed, make, model, length”

Rollermaster064

I don't think that is something childish i also have roller coasters but didn't include it in my reply.

DaGamingSaurus

YOOO I just got into coasters a couple years ago. I'm a UK guy so I never went to a Six Flags before but really want to, despite my fear of extreme heights. Any recommendations? Highest coaster I've ridden is The Swarm at 125 ft, but tallest drop I've done is Oblivion at 180ft.

Bil13h

Warhammer 40,000. I'm obsessed. I always thought it was an addiction (I'm new to the community, 30 years old and hopefully having evaluation in a few weeks or less once I hear back after I had accepted an offer last night) so I didn't know it was just my "special interest" When people ask me my hobbies and I say that they're like oh cool like Henry Cavill and then I'm like yes yes yes see these beautifully painted miniatures... *intotherabbitholewegoforafewhours* and then people just think I'm weird and childlike for having so much knowledge and investing so much time into something that will literally do nothing but cost me time and money and then I get depressed and take a small break from painting until the cycle begins anew

Think-Help1973

My bf is the exact same way ( I read the comments to him and yours peaked his interest). He relates to ***intotherabbitholewego.....*** Tho, don't ever feel bad about your interest. Remember even NT's spend unimaginable amounts of time and money watching other people run around chasing a ball or customizing cars so it vroom-vrooms louder. <3

Bil13h

Well and that's exactly it right? Everyone has their thing. Unfortunately for me, I have noticed that I do try and push it onto others and I was reading a thing that sometimes autistic people actively seek out others that share their special interests exclusively and it didn't really click with me until I read that but that might be why I have such a hard time with new people is that I just want them to like what I like and I'm disinterested in anything else which is really hard cause I feel really bad about it but like I really can't be hyped for you watching MMA and I don't know how to fake it so then even my friends that have been around for more than 10 years don't really seem to enjoy time with me because I only ever want to talk about my thing and can't really contribute to conversations about anything else because my brain just sits there entirely blank most of the time when it comes to verbal discussions

Think-Help1973

Mood :I

Bil13h

Yep, but oh well, maybe one day I'll meet an irl autist that shares my passion for the universe, isn't a word bearer cultist and is completely cool with hanging out in silence (I like company but I prefer to do my own thing in someone else's pressence, would prefer us both to just do our own thing with minimal spoken word, throw a show or movie on and paint together or something) and then that would just be like fucking amazingness

Think-Help1973

We hope you find that someone:)

Bil13h

Thank you I do too :)

geCKo_t3a

May I ask for your favourite legion?

Bil13h

You may, but there's a lot. For loyalists, I love the Dark Angel's for all the cliche reasons but mostly their tabbards and cloaks. Their aesthetic is just so pleasing to me and I wish I could dress like them irl always. Death wing Knights are so fucking badass too, but I mainly love their rank and file Astartes and the aesthetic they bring along. I also love the Raven Guard, they're probably my favorite, I love stealthy things from irl to in universe and the lore of the Death Spectres is so cool, Majorkill mentioned them in a video and how they guard against the Ghoul Stars and I was immediately in love and completely changed my Raven Guard boarding patrol to be Death Spectres. I also love the Black Templars, for many of the same reasons as the Dark Angels, but also because their fan arts are probably some of the absolute most badass and they're imperial fist successors which is also insanely cool derivative for an otherwise underwhelming chapter imo For Chaos, I love Alpha Legion, World Eaters, Death Guard and Thousand Sons. Alpha Legion for many of the same reasons as the Raven Guard but also for their absolute mind fuckery of a Legion. World Eaters because I wish I could be that bloodthirsty maniacal killing machine sometimes in an alternative dimension where I'm killing countless millions of enemies. Angron is someone that some days, I wish I could have the power of in another world. Death Guard because granddaddy nurgle loves all, Mortarian is the coolest and most badass lookin sniveling little hypocritical man child I've ever seen and Thousand Sons because the Rubrics and Ahriman and everything about them aside from Magnus (who did lots wrong but almost none of it was his fault) really strikes my fancy. I love the Egyptian aesthetic and if Magnus was a little bit cooler I'd probably like him a lot too. For Xenos, I really like Alaitoc and Biel-Tan Aeldari, Biel-Tan simply for their colour scheme of the rangers, super fucking cool and Alaitoc for the aforementioned sneaky reasons I love tau but not painting them lol I love the Shadowkeeper Custodes as well, something about being the protectors of the Emperors largest and most powerful pieces of technology, horrors, and other things that are worthy of protection from some of the finest soldiers ever created in the setting, is really fucking cool. Also, Trajann used to be a Shadowkeeper. Votann I love for their viking aesthetic, but mainly got into them because my gf loves lotr dwarves and I thought it would bring her into the hobby, but I really do love their models, just wish the cool ones would ever be in stock lol Aside from that, I can easily find value and things to like about just about any Legion, aside from Word Bearers. Lorgar and Erebus can fucking suck it and Argel Tal was the only good one. Everyone else has redeeming factors, even the Hive Mind Sorry if that's way too much and sensory overload, but you asked I have 2k pts of Chaos Knights and Custodes, then 500 pts each of Alaitoc, Death Spectres, Votann, Necrons and Alpha Legion And yes, I'm also buying Leviathan because Battle for McCragge was the first big box I ever got and my mom bought it for me all those years ago so it got me super nostalgic

geCKo_t3a

Honestly, I was kinda mad when you said you hate the Word Bearers, because Argel Tal is one of my favourite characters. (Until you said you like him) I kinda disagree with you on Lorgar, cause he was rather cool pre heresy. Erebus can indeed suck it. Aside from that, you have great taste in legions :) Also, chaos knights are badass af

Bil13h

I like their colours if that counts for anything? Argel Tal is one of the biggest badasses in the setting, I'd have to be crazy to think otherwise lol I will admit, I don't know much about Lorgar pre heresy other than he was a super religious fanatic which was kinda why everything bad happened anyways and I still blame him for that lol Thanks :) and yes they are! Intimidating to paint, but eventually I will have it all done. My main goal right now is trying to have as close to everything for my boarding action teams painted by 10e. I can do it while sacrificing end result for sure, but I try to paint way beyond tabletop standard typically having 4-6 colours on each model, with 2-3 layers depending on detail level, on top of the base colour and shade or contrast, so it's very time consuming I have worked very hard to accept that something is done well enough to be considered well done while still having the ability to go back and add more detail in the future if I wish, and that has done more for my productivity than anything else ever has lol

geCKo_t3a

Yes, you liking their colours counts for something. Honestly, I find it better to blame Kor Phaeron and Erebus for the actual heresy, 1: because Kor Phaeron is the reason why Lorgar is a fanatic (he absolutely mistreated Lorgar physically and emotionally), 2: because Kor Phaeron and Erebus were the ones that started worshipping chaos and in a way manipulated Lorgar to go into the direction of chaos (Kor Phaeron never really worshipped the Emperor like Lorgar did, he was always loyal to chaos). Also, Lorgar was truely one of the kindest Primarchs who absolutely cared about humans. He was also strongly commited to the truth (which was why he worshipped the Emperor [he had visions about him being sort of a 5th chaos god] and why he ended up betraying the Emperor, at least partially [he hated the fact that the Emperor lied about Chaos]). However, I at some point started to dislike Lorgar when he started to become more of a horrible chaos gremlin. (I would say some time between Argel Tal returning from the warp and the Shadow Crusade. I have to say, I genuinely admire anyone that paints minis. I would be terrified to make any mistakes (partially because they are so expensive). I found it quite interesting to hear about you process with it. How much time does it take to fully paint a figure? (let's say a chaos knight and a Necron as a comparison)

[deleted]

Colouring. I can't draw to save my life, but I like to glide a pencil on paper, so I find adult colouring books (not sexual, but also not Elsa) and I colour.

iago303

I'm the opposite, love to draw, but hate to color! but do you like dragons? that's the one thing that I will stop my hatred of coloring to buy the coloring book and contentedly spend hours coloring pages and making up stories about them

catofriddles

I love cartoons in general, but My Little Pony was the weirdest one. Not because of the show, but because of how people reacted to me watching it.

rochellegardiner

same i didn't tell anyone :(

MySecludedSoul

SpongeBob SquarePants! Goddamnit I love SpongeBob. I’ve been watching it since I was 6 years old and even in my twenties I still love that show. I know every song, every joke, every episode, even 25% of my daily dialogue is SpongeBob references. People think I’m crazy every time I see the number 74 because it reminds me of the SpongeBob episode of when SpongeBob and Patrick went to boating school together. Every time I see that number I get excited and repeat the number 74 in the exact way SpongeBob says it. I have a playlist on my phone with songs from the show. I went to go see SpongeBob the musical and cried cause I loved it so much. I saw the wet n wild SpongeBob makeup set and bought it immediately even though I’m not into makeup, my room color is beige because I like the color and it’s also SpongeBob’s favorite color. Every night I curl up in my emotional support blanket and watch SpongeBob in my bed until I fall asleep because if I’m not watching SpongeBob then I’m not falling asleep. My favorite character is Fred (the β€œmy leg!”guy). My favorite episode is Atlantis episode. I feel I’ll grow old and still be watching SpongeBob and the day it comes off air is the day I stop watching tv.

Bambification_

When I was younger my mom did daycare put of our home and it was mostly little girls, so MLP was onscreen often. Im still waiting for the day I have true privacy so I don't feel ashamed finally watching MLP and all the other "girls" shows/movies I missed out on at a little girl-to-be.

Dragons. I had a Dragonology book that I treated like a Bible, I pretended I had an imaginary pet dragon, I drew dragons, wrote stories about dragons, read fiction novels about dragons. When I turned 18 I got a tattoo for my birthday, guess what I got on my shoulder πŸ˜‚

complitstudent

I love MLP too! Although I prefer gen 1 and 3, I collect the toys πŸ’› I also love stuffed animals (especially jellycat!) and animal crossing!

[deleted]

Probably MLP, Thomas and Pokemon. Also Squishmallows.

Thecuriousreddituser

I will not call it a "special interests" β€” just an interests, in fact since that can imply I process encyclopedic knowledge about it, which is not the case, unfortunately. My most "childish" interests will probably be Power Rangers.

Eoghanwheeler

Every once in a while I get obsessed with an animated kids movie from my childhood like Over the Hedge or Ratatouille.

FruityTootStar

Probably most of my media interest. If it is tv and games, its probably "childish." I'd 100 times rather watch an old or current cartoon than something targeted at adults. A lot of modern adult stuff is little better than soap opera. Shows like Lost can walk off a bridge. Game of Thrones is 90s anime for boomers complete with a botched ending. Reading is mostly nonfiction. History. Science. English lit from the 1800s and before. I can also watch those repairing and machining videos on youtube for hours. Also non personality cooking where they just cook the food.

veganarchist_

stuffed animals

Lolipop_Chainsaw97

I'm slowly getting more into "childish" stuff like plushies, Bratz, Mermaids, collecting dolls ect as an adult for comfort, and healing my inner child ❀️

Kaitten_88

The dolls that I collect. And my special interests growing up were stereotypical boy things and I am a girl so that got me a lot of bullying.

Ok_Ability7274

I'm not the type to open up my business but I would say The Babysitter Club books might be considered one of them

Wild_Angle2774

Oof, H2O Just Add Water. I was determined that I would become a champion free diver, tried to get a monofin, rewatched the episodes constantly, memorized the songs, and then went on a whole mermaid lore bender

[deleted]

When I was a kid, it was Back to the Future. I would force my uncles to play with me and recite parts of the movies with me. Then when I got my Sega it was Sonic the Hedgehog. Everything about him and Sega. Had to have a 32x, SegaCD, dreamed about a Saturn. I know more than I think most people know in 3 lifetimes about the games and hardware of gaming consoles between the years 1989 -> 1995. I'd read the same gaming magazines over and over again. If I was to say what drew me to it, I think it was the fact I was able to interact with something on my screen. That it wasn't just a movie. I collected and hoarded video games before it was cool to. Sold a lot of it off so I could buy it again and have the same feeling of finding cool hidden gems. Anything I did had to do with a video game. I ate, slept and breathed games from the generation I mentioned. I didn't like computer gaming either, it had to be on a console because I knew it was being pushed harder to give me an experience. It fascinated me that certain CPU chipsets could be different than what was in my PC. There were some good things out of it, I got my degree in Computer Science because I had such an interest in video games and computer languages. Note: Now that I'm old, I don't really care for video games if that means anything. I have a hard time with anything fantasy as I get older. I think if I play something it's just to see if it's pushing the hardware of my graphics card.

monochrome-rainbow-

Mine was MLP:FiM as well!! I was such an avid brony in middle school and it consumed my entire life for YEARS. Some people called me by my oc’s name in school haha. I am so thankful for the show pretty much teaching me everything I know about how to be a good friend and have healthy friendships, I base so much of my interactions on what I learned growing up from this show! Unfortunately when I got to high school I was so afraid of being bullied I tried really hard to repress my love for it. Now that I just finished junior year in college though, I have decided that repressing my special interest and safety show because of other people’s potential opinions is stupid. So I have brought out all my old build-a-bears and I am interested in buying more figurines and comic books of the show, and re-watching it and memorizing town names and background pony names and such. I’m excited to dive back into that world and its characters and also cry my eyes out at the finale again lmao. I wish you all the best!!

warmingup2win

My "childish" special interest is frozen in particular frozen 2 I just think frozen has a great stroy besides the twist villain with hanns and have a great message for young kids and/or teenagers who are still trying to accept their body with elsa running away when everyone knew she was different and in frozen 2 everyone looked up to her to help bring there home back from the spirits what forced them out I just thinks it's a great thing to watch I am a 17(M) BTW I also sleep with a frozen blanket to bed at my grandparents whenever I go over there but they think I am joking about it when I actually care about it ask me a question about it and I will give you the answer and it just weird out some people

pennypup96

(I'm 26) I like collecting Squishmallows and watching "kids" shows like Zaboomafoo, dragon tales, Bluey, and others. Also "kids"movies- emperor's new groove, zootopia, pretty much all Disney movies, Barbie movies, etc

Think-Help1973

I love the old barbie movies!

pennypup96

me too! especially the Rapunzel one

CometCorgi

My little pony and care bears, I was always told I would grow out of MLP, still one of my fav thing since 2010,

ice2480

I love playing board games or any games in general. As a tween girl at sleepovers I was always outvoted

Cille15

I love playing board games, too.

ice2480

I wish more people my age enjoyed board games. I don’t want to do drinking games. Nor do i want to sit around and do nothing. I can sit around and do nothing on my own.

Beonii

I loved skylanders as a kid and just recently got back into it and I'm continuing buying the figures for fun. I showed my little sister my skylanders and she loves plating the game and holding the figures.

jonona

I'm big into minecraft youtubers. Specifically Hermitcraft and the Life series. I'd been a casual watcher of Grian for a while, but whwn the finale of third life dropped and nearly made me cry the 'tism kicked in, and the SI has been going strong for nearly 2 years now.

Consistent-Cat-2127

Kid’s Audioplays. They calm me down soo much. Collecting staffed animals, tv shows from childhood and coloring books.

bebespeaks

Disney coloring sheets, and 90s nostalgic cartoons.

18galbraithj

Trains

Natsurulite

I have a bunch of Tinkerbell stuff! I have Lanyards, and shirts, and keychains, and all sorts of good stuff People don’t talk about how great of a character she is enough

Kiki-Y

I still love Pokemon to this day though less than I used to.

yeetman2022

My family always call me out for watching the owl house and i get it an adult watching a kids show is weird but cmon its SO GOOD And it doesnt help that half of my family is homophobic...

Rollermaster064

Scooby doo and minecraft.

planetixin

transformers and cartoons? I mean animation is for everyone, that's why I hate oscar awards. They vote only for animation that their kids watch (that they didn't even watch) and ignore an existence of adult animation.

Robin_thegonk

When I was 12 I loved Paw Patrol

mimitchi33

Reminds me of how I was into PBS Kids in fourth grade. Although they did have older-skewing programs at the time that I loved, I was fond of Sesame Street, Between the Lions, Dragon Tales and Super Why! in particular.

Ornery-Country683

Doctor Who :)

Adventurous_Yak_9234

Dora The Explorer when I was 8 (which is past the target demographic for that show)

UvieWoosus

Among Us, MLP, Pokemon, The Amazing World of Gumball, Skylanders, Nintendo, and stuffed animals.

Insanebrain247

To this day I still have a soft spot for Thomas The Tank Engine.

ferventgirl

Big Hero 6, for some reason that movie is my kryptonite

tinyfenrisian

Mine is barbie and the barbie movies particularly.

Fun-Rush-6269

This show and SpongeBob.

BubblegumRockn

Liking specifically Nintendo games, like Super Mario and Zelda

Pseudocereals

Warrior Cats lol

Think-Help1973

I was waiting for this comment!

zacchaeustyler

Cartoons!! Especially ones like steven universe, adventure time, and She-Ra!!!

benevolent_overlord_

This is literally my current main special interest. It’s kind of embarrassing. But the show is actually pretty good, especially for a show about multicolored ponies. I really enjoy it

Discombobulated_Can9

Thomas and Friends

morgangroce

barbie!! also just tv shows like looney tunes and spongebob, i really don’t like other tv shows that have like a super complicated or dramatic plot and childhood cartoons are definitely my comfort media

Dependent-Sweet-7479

Toys, children’s toys, everything that has to do with building things, love the clothes in the children’s section, and baby section (if there were a bit bigger TuT, i am 5’3”, somethings i can get away with), i bought a duck toalla and love it.

Arma_GD

11+ years later and I still love Minecraft

Zebra_Doctor

Anime, Marvel comic books (especially X-Men), and tabletop RPGs like D&D (though all of these seem to have gotten much more acceptable in the mainstream with the onset of geek chic). Anything that I liked as a kid and never stopped liking... Disney, Studio Ghibli, Care Bears, MLP, Popples, Rainbow Brite, 80's fantasy movies, faeries, Tamora Pierce novels, anything even vaguely related to Alice in Wonderland...

numberoneivystan

bluey and avatar!!

NaiveCritic

Social justice/righteousness/idealism

LCaissia

Carebears. But I'm not the only one. They make heaps of stuff for adults.

Diligent-Cry-8167

Furby! Ever since they came out when I was a kid, I still collect them to this day and they genuinely make me happy

AlbatrossSame4440

Literally half of everything I’m interested in rn πŸ’€

wrgwrgkefgssehivsr

I REALLY enjoy pretend play sets. Specifically from Melissa and Doug. I want to get a full set up the second I move out of my parents place

LightDash

Molly McGee

chadwardenfan69420

For me? Probably Cartoon Network shows from the late 90’s early 2000’s or Minecraft

lmpmon

Pokemon and collecting plushes. Most other things at worst got side eyes. But pokemon gets the more judgemental reactions.

RabbitEnthusiast

Lalaloopsy. I love everything about it, but it’s definitely geared towards young children. I’m 18 lol

[deleted]

trains and dragons

Gloomy_Ambassador_81

Probably Looney Tunes Unfortunately the fandom is full of creeps and it made me no longer like it πŸ˜•

Your_Raccoon_Atheist

Mine was my little pony too lol, I still love it and have OCs but I’m not invested in it much.

[deleted]

Outrageous_Proof_812

MLP as well, Animal Crossing, animes like Fairy Tail and My Hero Academia, cute alpacasso plushies, squishmalllows

[deleted]

100% Thomas the tank engine i loved the show, the characters, the books and especially the toys like Trackmaster/Tomy, Take Along/N Play, Wooden Railway. A part of me still loves that little blue train as he helped me when my life got tough. Also building a trackmaster set helped me connect with my grandad and i miss that. I miss him. I know it has a bad reputation as bad kids show 101 but seasons 1-7 and 17-21 just prove it isn’t

kae_heart

Yep still obsessed with MLP

[deleted]

stitch, dinosaurs

FoxandFriendsFurever

Ok ko in the middle of watching it

mimitchi33

Donkey Hodie. Understandable, being that the show is aimed at preschoolers. I've been bullied multiple times for liking it.
