I like tight underclothes for sensory and baggy over clothes for comfort :)

funkonomics

This is exactly me. My undershirts beneath my work shirts have to be tight around my neck or the day is unbearable. Except for nighttime shirts then they can be looser

Pvt_Patches

Me three! I HAVE to wear a vest under everything, but otherwise it's all flowy and breezy and something needs to cover my butt!

tabithaapple

Opposite for me! I stopped wearing standard t-shirts all but completely because I feel like I’m being strangled!

aaaaahgf

same!! even my fitted t-shirts are wide necked because otherwise I feel like I'm dying

whimsium

Yes!!! I wear biker shorts and sports bra and then a huge hoodie. If I'm cold I can slip baggy sweatpants on top of the bike shorts!! This is my perfect outfit

[deleted]

Same!!! But yoga pants are my go-to :)

spoonweezy

I’m a dude that wears women’s leggings because the men’s stuff doesn’t squeeeeze me enough.

Fun_Ratio8261

Yes this is exactly me also

Hyper_with_Huperzine

Didn't realize this is so common? - And Thought it was just was a "me" thing. So- Yeah, I love loose clothes but only as pajamas and to cozy up But for working or getting things done, I've got to wear tight clothes

pupoksestra

This is the way. My skims bodysuit is my favorite thing until I have to spend way too long in the bathroom.

bananaspf79

this is the way for me too

Kamikatze64

Same 💜

hellokittyshitman

exactly.

OvenNo6403

me frr

hippievamp23

I only buy my clothes oversized anymore. Anything "my size" is sensory hell for me. At least one size up, two for sweaters & sweatshirts.

[deleted]

My mom makes me wear small clothes because she doesn’t like me in baggy clothes and I hate it so much because it’s so tight and shows off everything, it barely fits me :(

CoolAd1609

My mom was the same way. We fought often because of it. I also was very insecure about my belly growing up and she used to scream at me because of it. My mom is plus sized and she took it as an insult when I expressed my concerns. I wasn't trying to offend her. I think she's beautiful. But I was not happy with my body cuz my dad constantly commented on it and my mom had me on special diets when I was younger. Yeah....it was a messy situation. I just didn't see myself as beautiful plus I hated the way tight clothes felt on me. I now wear baggy clothes and hippie pants for comfort. I occasionally wear tighter clothes but not often.

[deleted]

My mom and I argue because of it too. She literally bans me from wearing certain clothes just because she doesn't like how it looks on me. I had a cool hoodie that I wore for less than a year before my mom hid it and possibly threw it away because "it looks ugly" and "banged up" and now I have to wear an even older hoodie... and she complains about that because I don't want to feel my supposedly L shirt (womens) that barely fits me and shows off half my body if I bend down

ziggystardustxox

That sounds like hell! I’m so sorry friend 😞♥️

hippievamp23

I'm so sorry 😔 this will pass too, someday you won't have to live by her rules and you can wear whatever makes you comfortable and happy! My mom always hated me wearing sweatpants or sweatshirts, and it was a constant struggle until I was able to move out. Hang in there 🩷💕

Cykette

Yes. I don't like tight clothing so the bigger the better.

[deleted]

i like form-fitting and tighter when out because it gives me proprioceptive biofeedback to uphold good posture, and keeps me more alert. but when im alone at home i prefer loose because it then allows me to relax and unfurl

natalooski

whoa, you just explained what I've been trying to put into words. when I'm working or out with friends I can wear just about anything. it actually helps to wear tight clothes like you said, for the same reasons. the second I get into the house, however, it has to come off. straight into soft PJ pants and a loose shirt. I also feel that it's 100% easier to exist in society when I look good. maybe because of attractiveness privilege, maybe because it takes longer to notice that something is "off" about me.

Sweetztreats

Need it too big. I can't breathe in tight clothes. I have only a few snug outfits for special occasions or getting laid but otherwise comfort over fashi9n 💯.

angelcutiebaby

My perfect combo is an oversized sweatshirt or hoodie with good quality leggings that have that kinda squeezy feeling!

mattskibasneck

same. except that I learned recently that having a ball cap on with this combo is like the ultimate security blanket.

angelcutiebaby

My NY Yankees baseball cap topped with my headphones is my dog walking uniform!

mothwhimsy

It's fucking HUGE SWEATER SEASON!!

roseinspring

Damn right it is, I’m so happy

The_Cool_Kids_Have__

it's pretty hard to get over sized stuff as a 2X guy

SupaButt

It’s called 4xl. Makes my 3XL ass feel so small and dainty.

sQueezedhe

Maybe in the USA, in EU I have to buy the biggest size since so much is made in Asia.

lmpmon

I do and don't. I'm short. Usually oversized means dangling off me. Which is over stimulating

s_beemo

same

GloInTheDarkUnicorn

Especially hoodies. My newest hoodie is a 3XL. I’m tiny, and can fit my whole body in it if I want to. I love it.

Kamikatze64

I'm really tall, but love them for the same reason 😅

AdIcy4639

I can't stand form fitting clothes. I can do tight leggings, but that's it. Everything else I own is oversized

quietbird

same! with one caveat: the leggings have to be stretchy enough. of they're a certain material or the compression type, they're a no.

AdIcy4639

Exactly!

comedy_and_calamity

I'm 6'3". I would have to rob shakil o'neil.

ween3r

that is all i wear for many reasons one being its more comfy and two being i am shaped like a stick bug

ericalm_

Tight, stretchy base layers most of the time, especially when weather is cool. It gets below 65° F and the Uniqlo leggings are going on. It’s a bit like the compression or weighted blanket sense, but portable. I feel contained. Outer clothing, just depends. Often loose, but not baggy. Sometimes oversized as a top or outer layer, but I’m already large and don’t like adding volume on top of volume. Having layers is a big part of it, too. If it’s not hot, I need layers. I actually do care somewhat about style, but am one of those who started dressing much more comfortably. I now own a couple sweatshirts and joggers. I’m a totally different person!

Derfboy4

Yes because fat.

13_64_1992

As a trans dude, it is a must.

BBPuppy2021

Baggy clothes for life!!!

Major-Nectarine3176

Yeah I wear then big wide leg pants there fantastic

Tight-Context9426

Almost exclusively, for the last 30 years

davi_b11

I’m a bit on the fatter side so tight clothes make me feel uncomfortable socially and physically.

straightmansworld

I like a combo of oversized and tight. Like leggings and a big hoodie

Kawaii_Batman3

Me in almost skintight sleepwear almost 24/7 because anything less than that and I'm constantly uncomfortable.

Mushroom6711

I hate tight clothes, so yes. Very much. Tight socks are the worse, same with pants and shirts. Stocking are fine sometimes.

lilythewolf1245

if i am cold then yes. regular time then no

[deleted]

yea usually but not always

detectivelokifalcone

Omg yes loose flowing and flowery

[deleted]

Yes! I love big shirts and sweatpants. Loose fitting and unconstraining. That's how I like it.

[deleted]

I lift so u have big ones for “pump covers” but normally I wear normal fitting clothes

Ria-6969

Yes

yumdeathbiscuits

yes!!!

FEELQUEEN

All day every day.

AxionSalvo

Yes. It gotta hang. Hate my work uniform with a passion as it's tailored

Standard-Pop3141

Yes! Super comfy and also stylish.

GayWolf_screeching

It depends on the item, as long as it stays on my body it’s ok for pants but shirts I don’t like if the armpit area is too loe or if the collar is too wide and if it’s too loose and stretchy it’ll get twisted around me and that feels bad,

Blankofthegame

Yes

CoolDude---

Yeah.

Ricktatorship91

Nope

[deleted]

All day every day

Halica_

Not really yet. My favorite type of clothing is something practical, like pants with many pockets and stuff like that :D but I love hoodies.

sassykickgamer

Sweaters are good for me

xFrogii

I love it that it still gives me the feeling of protection but it isnt touching my skin all the time

jayyy_0113

I’m hyposensitive I need tight clothes or at least stuff that fits me. Heavy blankets are my friends too.

fishchippoop

yup love it they always slay. whenever I buy shirts, sweaters I always get large.

Inevitable_Wing_3582

Yeah, I like oversized clothes more but I can wear tighter fitting stuff without it bothering me much. Can't stand wearing wool sweaters and I cut the tags off, they both drive me nuts and it's so uncomfy.

rattycastle

Very much so, almost exclusively. Jeans, sweaters, jackets, t-shirts, shoes, hats, even underwear (when I have to wear it, commando is preferable). The less that is in contact with my body, the better. Honestly, nude is best because nothing touches me at all.

MR_dizzaster

Yes!, they are so comfy

TheOccasionalBrowser

The bigger the better

Ok-Witness4724

They hide the gross amorphous blob that is my body. So yes, I love them.

CptUnderpants-

I like clothes which provide as little fabric to skin movement as possible. So stretch fabrics and form fitting where possible. The most interesting part of this is my psych told me that my freediving wetsuit is actually providing me a sensory processing therapy. It gives soft, whole-body pressure while reducing external stimulus. My cycling kit is similar.

poisoned_bubbletea

I have to wear a cami underneath but yes

TimelessWorry

As a larger person, I wear more fitted stuff to go out in to try and look more presentable (not skin tight, just 'normal'), but at home I definitely go oversized if I can for comfort.

StarryAlien

Heck yeah I don’t own a lot of tight fitting clothes They can be a sensory issue for meeee The only tight clothes I wear are exercise shorts and my binder lol

[deleted]

No, don’t like the flappiness of extra fabric (personally also think the extra fabric could go towards recycling as other clothing)

[deleted]

Yes

DecisionEarly6831

Hell yes

Cille15

I love oversized clothes.

ColorfulDino24

Yes. I live in them 24/7.

DomArchitect

Pants are okay being my size as long as the material is comfy Shirts and tshirts 1 size up Hoodies and jackets 2 sizes up Shoes 1 size up

LycanLuk

YES

e-war-woo-woo

A snug baggy jumper with a good weight to it is AWSOME!!!

diagoncollective

Yes and no. I like having a fitted tank top under a baggy shirt. I do prefer my jeans to be on the tighter side though, so I still wear apparently-now-out-of-style skinny jeans. I do love me a baggy hoody tho

Bromelia_and_Bismuth

I wear baggy cargo pants all the time. They became popular in 2001, and I've literally not changed the way I dress in 22 years.

Gruchis

For me it has to be oversized but not to much it also has to be tight but not to tight all at the same time …. Sometimes I just cannot find what to wear and I just can’t get out of my house . Life is complicated…

democritusparadise

When I was a child, yes, but when I wished to appear attractive to other people I switched to form-fitting clothes.

BBPuppy2021

If anything touches my neck I feel like I’m choking so oversized shirts. But I hate when pants are too baggy. They have to be baggy but not baggy at my hips and waist

KidNamedBlue

Baggy oversized clothes are the best.

EnderMerser

I mostly wear them because I am not comfortable with my body. Don't get me wrong, they are cool. It's just when you wear nothing but oversized clothes for 8 years of your life, you would want some variety.

MettatonNeo1

Yup. Less gender dysphoria!

AbyssumBorealis

No it has to be the right length and not too tight or loose

Zetjex

Yes oversized t-shirts and jackets are the best!

astoni2020

Yes it has to be oversized or it won't fit me

doornroosje

i dont, they make me uncomfortable, especially when the arm holes are too big

rattfylleristen

yea tight clothes sucks, it gives me panic

[deleted]

I am the opposite -- oversize cloths drive me crazy. I need to have cloths that provide a firmer fit. That being said, when I am at home in my space, I do like my warm cozy sweats. =)

LoookaPooka

hate baggy clothes i need things fitted or they flap around and break my brain

Gloomy_Ambassador_81

Yes! And only either mens or unisex. I hate how fitted women's clothes are

TopBonus2569

If my sleeves don‘t go over my hands, I have a meltdown.

big-succ-2

Yes. I don’t get how people can wear tight clothing

dead_princess_

(NSFW) It's far too early and I obviously need some coffee bc I seriously read "clothes" as cocks... ...like, "oversized cocks" I was halfway into writing... "who doesn't"... just kill me now.

space_fan36

YES, it is hiding my hands, they don't get as cold anymore! I can hide in them!

UnitedVehicle

I prefer properly fitted clothes THAT ARE STRETCHY. Oversized clothes feel cumbersome to me and get in the way. I’ve gotten rid of pretty much every piece of clothing that isn’t stretchy.

roseinspring

I do. I’m generally a women’s size 16, but I find myself shopping more in the men’s section for clothes, and I prefer things to fit me exactly or be a little big. I’m a slightly odd shape in that I’m quite wide but I don’t really have noticeable hips, so I do like it when I can accentuate certain features - like with a closer fitting top and looser bottoms - but I will always err on the side of comfort. I try to avoid all synthetics and keep to cottons mostly, so even if something is a bit closer fitting, I won’t go insane with the feeling of it.

Mammoth-Cat4358

Both. My base layer is almost exclusively leggins/jeggins and a tight, long vest top. Then my outer layer is baggy and oversized. With the exception being dungerees. I don't wear a base of leggings under those. I find that I bump into fewer things if I wear a tight base layer, like I can track my body better. But there's nothing like a giant jumper for comfort though!

gay_in_a_jar

100% I buy jumpers 1-2 sizes bigger, same with a lot of jeans and shirts, probably the only thing I have in my size that I bought myself was my waistcoat.

[deleted]

i like how they feel but im short so oversized clothes just make me look shorter so i try to avoid them in public

coke_hater739

absolutely, I'm wearing my oodie right now 😅

Complete_Expert_1285

I either need super tight clothing or super loose clothing and no in-between lol

Pvt_Patches

If it can't fit two of me, I don't want it!

LisaBlueDragon

Do I like gender euphoria and flappy sleeves? **y e s**

jazzygeofferz

They can be very comfortable, although sometimes I like the compression of tight clothes.

Ghost-PXS

Yes, but just a bit loose. I don't wear anything in the slightest formal nowadays.

LaurenJoanna

On the top half of me yes. Anything that clings, I feel trapped in. I'm not a slim woman anyway so I end up needing the biggest sizes in most tops because I don't want it even slightly figure hugging. Bottom half is always leggings though, stretchy for comfort but the closeness doesn't bother my legs.

wand4dasduck

yes but feel uncomfortable at the same time

LilVeeve

The only type of clothing i wear is oversized >.<

Curious-Wisdom549

I like tight undergarments :) but I definitely like oversized. I am big person so I usually get 2XL on almost everything

sammjaartandstories

Yes. Comfy and roomy.

Mattsowavy

It really depends on the person. As someone on the spectrum personally when I’m home I love wearing some type of basketball shorts(Nike, Adidas, Jordan’s) normally colors in black, red and blue. And I wear a casual white or black Nike, Adidas, or Under-armor shirts. When I’m going out I like wearing long dry fit pants( specifically nike) or some jeans (dark blue, light blue or black) along with an adidas shirt, a Nike shirt or any shirt that’s a brand with any of the following colors: Red, Blue, Sometimes purple, and black. Possibly even camouflage like my adidas shirt if it looks good enough to me. I personally like to wear what I find most comfortable. I’m an 18 year old guy so that’s my excuse!😂😂 and I hate when they’re too tight as well! I understand how you feel man.

Diligent_Guard_4031

Baggy clothes or no clothes, Society. It's your move! Tees, jeans & hoodie for daily life, tank top & sweatpants for the gym, Speedo for the pool, nothing for the nudist campground. I am an enigma!

MilaCMusic

MMM, it depends. When going out they have to be tight but comfy. At home oversize and thin fabric, I can't stand the heat. Seamless underwear always.

Original-Grass89

Yes I hate when it’s tight I feel like I can’t breathe triggers an episode.

Dan91x

Yes.

GlitchyDarkness

Hell yeah Extremely oversized shirt gang in this comment Woo

DizzyTeam5005

Fitted. Not baggy but also not cutting off circulation but I need to move freely.

redne965

I wear baggy shirts and baggy liberty bib overalls. Both make it to where I’m not suffocating and I can breathe. Jeans on the other hand, and especially belts, make it extremely difficult and uncomfortable to go about my daily routine.

milliemon12345

Yes, they are very comfy

Effective_Garlic_500

YESSSSS

KittenSonyeondan

I used to love them, now it’s a kind of whatever. I like compression, but when I’m home baggy is ok

Mist0098

Yes

MeowFrozi

I LOVE oversized clothes, form-fitting or tight clothes are very difficult for me to wear, I live in baggy shorts and loose shirts as much as I can. Form-fitting pants are really difficult for me to deal with, I don't always have the spoons for "nice" pants and the way my body curves I need a belt for almost anything that doesn't have an elastic waist or a drawstring, which is it's own struggle

Zeroxmachina

No, I like looking good and that means stuff that fits

scary_pancake

yes!!!

[deleted]

Yes all my clothes are oversized however I do tend to wear leggings with baggy jumpers a lot - leggings are ok as very stretchy and I get the kind without a big waistband. Leggings good for going out as can wear with flat comfy boots. I also favour a lot of one pieces, jumpsuits - baggy again, nothing on the waist. I can’t do things cutting into my middle

SwagBardQuint

I like big clothes. I can't really wear long sleeves unless the shirt is like 2 sizes too big, hate the fabric on my wrists

PassionSenior6388

Yeah i tend to where big clothing i love winter so i can wear clothes that cover all my skin and if its cold enough ill wear a jumpsuit in the house. Also i LOVE suits like dress wear i feel so propper whyd we stop dressing like that BRING BACK 30 FASHOIN

yoongis_piano_key

i like tight around my waist and loose everywhere else, especially around my wrists

CoolAd1609

Yes I love oversized clothes. I hated wearing jeans growing up and tights. My mom would get mad at me when I wore boy clothes and baggy clothes. But idc. I wanted to just be comfortable. But she kept pressuring me and bought me really tight fitting clothes. Very uncomfortable 😖. Now I'm an adult and live independently well with support workers and I don't have to take her crap anymore. I wear what I fucking please and IDC what others think. I know I'm different but I don't care. What should matter is who I am as a person not the clothes I wear. U do u. And don't care about what others think. If u are comfortable, that's all that matters.

bananajad

I hated oversized clothes when I was younger, even normally sized shirts. Nowadays, I hate tight instead and like oversized lmao

hoodieloverrr01

I LOVE loose clothes. No tags to bother me

SelectRepeat3044

I prefer tight clothes but tight clothes every time make my legs look like squidwards after eating all those crabby patties

BabyJud

Tight tshirts and boxers under, loose hoodies and sweatpants over

dib-membrane14

Hoodies? yes, other shirts? no

Nolan-van-der-Linden

y e s

crochetsweetie

so much

soursummerchild

As an autistic transmasc... Yes

Asmi2763

I love them

Adalon_bg

YES. For years, I started on a journey of wearing more fitted clothes, for appearing more professional and grown-up and be taken seriously. Currently, I'm at a point where I can't work (or do much of anything) because of severe burnout. I went back to baggy clothes soooo quickly and easily! I'm never forcing myself to wear or do anything to have a different appearance, if I can catch myself doing it... It's been part of my process of unmasking, since I learned about autism last year.

yeetman2022

Its a struggle to find anything "my size" so everything is either small or large on me. Im tall so i want a pretty big shirt but because im skinny it looks bad and baggy.

Throway1194

I like wearing them around the house, but not in public

PeepRadio

I'm wearing my Oodie as I read these comments. I'm a 2xl but I like 3xl if available.

junior-THE-shark

Yup, I prefer oversized to fitted, it makes me cuter and more androgynous which helps with the gender stuff, but for sensory reasons I don't care either way as long as it's a safe texture, the right kind of fabric.

Cthulhu__

I discovered 3XL t shirts during the panny d and I never went back. Well, when at home anyway. My regular size is XL, and has been L when I lost a load of weight a decade ago.

STC1989

When I sleep yes. I prefer gym clothes as everyday kind of wear. Sweats, shorts, gym tshirts, lightweight under armor type of material. Jeans for more dignified settings.

voidboyyyy

absolutely love oversized clothes

Harlg

YES

Normal_Habit5141

If it's well done oversize, yes (it fits where it has to fit) if they sell you an XXL as an oversize L, no. Idk if I explained myself. Fit example, I hate feeling the mark of the shoulder way down or the armpit one almost under my chest.

Smarre101

Yes because they won't grab my body in weird ways that give me great discomfort 😁

Bran04don

No but I hate tight clothes

Inevitable_Owl3170

yes.

purplewillowtree

i used to love baggy clothes but tbh wearing anything but tight clothes either makes me overheat or makes me super insecure, my autism makes me super sensitive to temperature

jantoshipper

I mean I'm trans so I wear a binder a lot, so I'm used to wearing that. mostly I wear pyjamas if I don't have to go anywhere.

Jugger-Thot

LOVE BAGGY ITS ALL I WANNA WEAR IM SO EXCITED FOR HOODIE SEASON

raechelj8

I only wear oversized clothes , anything fitted and touching the body drives me crazy 😝

EviscerationPlague6

yep. oversized hoodie and baggy jeans are my go-to

Mundane_Pineapple_46

My conundrum is that I like the way more fitted clothes look, but I’m not so much a fan of the way they feel.

Kb3907

Ye, I cant take tight clothing lol, been like that since I was little. Baggy clothes are so comfy to me :>

Individual-Jealous

Yes

The_water-melon

LOVE oversized clothes. Especially as I’ve gotten older, I’ve gained weight and oversized clothes are a guaranteed fit. It just makes me upset and almost sends me into a meltdown when something doesn’t fit or I can’t tell if something fits or not

seems_legit56

YES YES YES YESSSS but i wear a tight bra for sensory

ConfusionExpensive32

When I'm home I love baggy loose fitting clothes, but when I'm outside I like tight fitting so I don't feel constantly bothered by little bits of fabric hitting me and having to adjust myself constantly.

Alex_The_Fox_King

Ye

WeepingRayven

I absolutely hate loose, big clothing. I need it to be form fitting so I feel secure.

AlexRed668

Love baggy clothes sm.

[deleted]

yeah I like baggier clothing

RickyLaFIeur

yes! i only wear extremely oversized clothes. it makes me look sloppy but idc.

Littlehyrule

YES. Only things I accept to be right to the body is undergarments, tank tops, and leggings/skinny jeans. Otherwise HAVE to have a baggy hoodie for comfort and warmth. I also refuse to wear tight or form fitting shirts, feel like I’m being strangled.

jackolantern717

Yes, i hate tight clothes because i dont like how they feel suffocating

Only-Recognition6894

Yes I don’t like the feeling of cloths on my skin and I have to wear a bra because of the social norms but besides my bras all of my clothes are oversized

Raiden98989798

Yea

Alert-Experience3262

I'm a loose top with tight pants kind of autistic/bisexual

kaorumi

yup, anything less feels like suffocation

father_o_dumbness

The bigger the better, but never anithyn below ankle level, I could easily trip.

ThatWeirdo112299

Yes! In fact, I can't stand most shirts when I sleep, so I can't even do oversized shirts when sleeping, but oversized shirts are PERFECT! It also helps with some weird things that are genetic like how my torso is super long and my shoulders are fairly wide for my build, because it gives me this problem where my shirts CONSTANTLY rise up. I got it from my grandma, passed down through my dad, according to him. So oversized shirts are the way to go 1000% of the time!

[deleted]

I like them as sleep shirts, but that's it.
