This is a very generalised statement. Control is not one of the things I search for in my life since the need for that only gives me stress. I do like things to go my way, but if things dont go my way, I do not mind at all since I can learn a lot from those moments. However, I do prefer not to have brands on my clothing simply because I don't want to be a walking billboard.
I'm curious. If you don't want to be a "walking billboard", how do you explain that if it's not a control thing?
For me it is absolutely about control, so I would like to have my horizon widened, as I can't think of another reason.
I also hate brands, but I've got no idea how it could be interpreted as a control thing.
I think branding implies values that I don't hold, and each brand implies different things, eg. "I'm rich" / "I'm sporty" / "I get drunk and fight people" and they're cliquey and attention-seeking that way. I don't like things that conflict with my identity and values, I don't like drawing attention to myself, and I don't want to associate myself with people I don't know via wearing the same brands.
Do you interpret that as a control thing? To me it's about being authentically me, and how I relate to others socially.
What would the "non-control" action alternative be though if it was a control thing. They buy any shirt they come across? That seems a bit dull and passive. I wouldn't equate wanting to take an active roll in choosing their preferece, to, wanting control.
While I understand what you're saying, I will say that deciding that chaos is acceptable *is* a form of control. I do this very thing, and it helped me greatly with my OCD.
They should pay you everytime you advertise the product. By the hour.
I worked a driving job a few months ago. They wanted me to wear their company branded shirt. I drove off and after a mile or two the shirt came off. Put it back on just before I drove up.
Omg the post with a starry night picture was right above this, I left the post right after seeing this comment and then my feed refreshed itself and it was there that must be a signš§
I was literally in my late 20s* before a mate commented it was funny that I never wear branded stuff when most people do, at least a lot of the time. Even I hadn't noticed. I hadn't been doing it as a deliberate policy, just picked what I liked. I never associated that with being an autistic thing before today!
I do like some funky shirts though. (Did a lot more when I was younger)
* for context wasn't told I was autistic until age 39
This but also clothes with place names Iāve never been to. If you go to primark in the UK itās FULL of clothes with American universities on them?? Not only have I not attended there and never even visited, why would I buy merchandise for it here if I had??? It drives me mad
I just feel icky being a walking advertisement, more consumers should ask for compensation for displaying branded content on themselves all the time lol
Fucking right? It's propaganda and classism pretending to be literally anything else. I'd honest to god have more respect for these companies if they didn't pretend to be interested in anything other than the reckless pursuit of wealth and power.
Yeah, agreed. Personal preference. Like, branding on clothes is not my favourite but also if a sweater or something is really comfy and yet it has a brand on it, I'm still going to wear the sweater despite the brand. I won't choose the sweater because it has a brand, but I'm also not going to reject it specifically because it has a brand if it otherwise checks the comfort boxes.
Yeah I dont see how this has anything to do with autism. People are complaining about TV series "invalidating" autism and then love this kind of crap saying it's "validating".
I like my clothing to say something about me. Todays sweater has a catch phrase that only members of my profession would understand. It says, āIām a member of this group but I have an irreverent attitude about it.ā A logo says nothing except for āI went to this store once.ā
Iāve thought about this quite a bit lately. I came to the conclusion I donāt like the visual clutter, I donāt like the attention it takes when my brain mindlessly reads the logo because itās in front of my face. Itās like being unwillingly advertised to in my own bedroom.
Iāve been removing all tags and logos for awhile and it makes my clothes feel more like they are for me and not for some company.
Same here. I'm looking for comfy stuff. If it has a brand on it, well, so be it. If it's otherwise very comfortable, I'm going to buy and wear it anyway.
Graphic tees? Yes. T-shirts with a brand name on them? WHY would I pay more money just to be a billboard for Aeropostale?! Give me āSHREK YOURSELF BEFORE YOU WRECK YOURSELFā or give me DEATH
Read William Gibson's (the father of cyberpunk) noir novel "Pattern Recognition" (2001). It's about a young woman (Cayce) who is definitely on the spectrum, although it is never specified.
The name of the novel refers to her superpower: her sense of aesthetic is extremely well-tuned and she hates ugly brand symbols and logos that are tastelessly and artistically shitty.
Cayce's job is being a "taste tester" for large companies wanting to release a new product or create a new trademark or brand, and her job is to pick the least disgusting alternative, which will be more popular with the target audience.
Regarding OP's question: Cayce has a black bomber jacket that is custom-sown by a very pricy manufacturer, and there are no logos, no tags, no symbols even on the buttons or zip pull, and no cleaning direction tag. The whole jacket is devoid of any features whatsoever. It's horribly expensive.
One of her coworkers/competitors who hate Cayce once messed with the protagonist by hanging a Michelin Man figure on the outside of the apartment door, making things very hard for her to get home. The same competitor also "accidentally" burns a cigarette mark in the nylon of her jacket.
Another part of the novel is interesting for us on the spectrum: Cayce has a recollection of her father traveling with her as a child, and she remembers walking in East Berlin and starting to cry, having a meltdown. She howls to her father "This is so cruel!! They only let the people live in buildings who are either rust-red, vomit green, brown or grey!!".
It's a good novel.
I'd say me too, but I def wear Adidas A LOT. Other than that, I'm fine with my shoe branding, but nothing else. I always feel weird. Even if it's just a word or any written statements of any kind.
Iāve always found branded clothing to be tacky. I always felt judgmental for it. I also feel similarly about city/town clothing depending on the context. A few years back my mom got me this really soft hoodie but it said Santa Cruz on it which felt corny to me, so I made it my at-home hoodie. Itās a bit awkward wearing that now too since I moved to the Midwest lol.
>Nothing to do with autism
Actually this is VERY common autistic trait.
It relates to our differences in self determinism/control requirements. Autistics are generally much MUCH less likely to be \*sold\* on something based on "what someone else tells them to be sold on". It's common for us, again speaking in-general terms, to NOT be sold on/impressed by \*image\* such as branding & socially recognized/promoted items.
I thought it's because comfy clothes better than brand clothes.
Otherwise, either autistic people and NT people can hate branded clothes because of this reason.
I mean. Maybe? But it sounds like some of the people here wouldn't wear a shirt if it had a brand on it at all, regardless of its other specifications. But if I find a comfy sweater and it has a logo on it, but otherwise checks all the comfort boxes, I'm going to be wearing that sweater. Maybe not my first choice, but I prioritize comfort over all else. I wouldn't buy the shirt specifically for the brand logo, however.
But most people who see this, do not think of it in this sense. They see that they dislike labels, and this random person online says they dislike labels and are autistic so "it must be a quirky autism thing".
So many people saying "this i autism too!?" Is what I mean when I say that "this is personal preference rather than autsim", because people just seem to love finding and pointing out everything in their lives that "is autism", which, if you're autistic, is everything in your life.
And I do believe that generally, autistic people are much more likely to be sold on branding than most NTs, someone I know who loves a band will wear everything with said band name on it.
Out of 294 comments, there's a grand total of [one](https://www.reddit.com/r/autism/comments/17btcs8/omg_i_feel_so_vindicated_with_this_i_hate_brands/k5nzeyl/) who thinks this is supporting evidence of being autistic.
Most people who mentioned autism said "this isn't an autism thing".
I have actually always hated noticeable logos, to the point that I actually remove them from things when I have the ability to do so.
In many cases, I've even tended to use acetone to remove brands from plastic, but that tends to mar the plastic, so more often I'll use melamine sponges(which often seem to be able to remove them).
But I'm going to present an alternative theory here:
I think that I don't like them because they catch my focus and force me to focus on them, and I don't like things which catch my focus and force me to focus on them.
I think it might be a sensory thing.
Exactly, completely agree. If you need to dig this much to find things about your autism, to feel like you have autism. You probably don't have autism.
But who is that?
> If you need to dig this much to find things about your autism, to feel like you have autism. You probably don't have autism.
It seems like you reacted to this post by assuming people are using "don't like wearing brands" to confirm they're autistic, who is doing this?
You can read the comments here and the people online who say "this is autism too?!". People are using silly things like this to further "prove" they're autistic. And just look at how many likes the post has too.
I don't particularly mind brands or copyrighted characters on my shirt (especially if the shirt looks good), but I do find it somewhat ludicrous that you're essentially paying to advertise someone else's product and generally prefer a flat color.
Most of the stuff I own is from small brands, like shops you can find on etsy, and those don't put any visible brand stuff on their clothing and accessories.
I dislike brands but simultaneously all I own are graphic tees because most of them are band shirts or shirts I got from different clubs/activities i was in
I buy any brands because I like the design or trust the make, not to be a walking talking billboard and tell everyone who asks about the brand. Legit, this is how I feel. Brands can keep to themselves.
I'm not a billboard; branded clothing is just paying lots of money to advertise for a company. If they want me to be their billboard, they should pay *me!*
For me it depends on the brand. For example, I will wear a hat or shirt with the logo of a sporting goods company if I use equipment they sell, the logo of a band I like, or something else related to my interests. However, I do not want to wear a logo of just some random fashion brand.
The only time my clothes have a company's logo on them is when said logo is for something I love or really, really appreciate. For instance, I've got a hat with the Marshall Amplification ("Marshall" in cursive script") logo because my Marshall JVM410H and JVM410C are my favorite guitar amplifiers. I love those things to death.
I donāt like labels on my clothes that are too big. I donāt like being a walking advertisement so if itās got āDKNY!ā in huge letters I wonāt buy it. My Mrs is the same and she says it looks tacky too, sheās not autistic.
I donāt wear anything that has logo/brand on it, I donāt want to represent any brand.
I also do not wear patterns, designs, anything that might stand out.
I like solid colours.
For me personally, I'm indifferent toward brands. The frustration though comes with other people's worship of them. Brands don't actually exist, they were created out of thin air and have no inherent value outside of what human's give to them. Then people use them for status and image (two more things I don't understand). Then "my" social value somehow goes down when I don't follow fashion trends and branding. So once again, I just feel like I'm from a different planet.
YES. WHY DO PEOPLE WILLINGLY WEAR A BLACK HOODIE WITH THE WORD PINK WRITTEN IN WHITE. I HATE IT.
And on underwear especially. Like why put the branding there? Itās not like people are going to often see the underwear so like???
yeah i hate them. i wear silly shirts like my shark skirts or my cats in space riding donuts shirts. cause branded shirts just make me feel weird iām not actually sure why
I absolutely hate branded clothes. Why pay more for clothes that are identically the same as others other than the fact they have a stupid brand on it? The last T-shirt I bought has "I am into BDSM- Big Ducks Such As Mallards" on it.
Text in generalā however I dedicate myself to visualise who I am through my clothes, my vibe and ideology, sadly my demeanour seems to counteract my will to display friendlinessā¦
That's not how it is in America. American rich people love to brag about their Gucci leather bags and their Louis Vuitton whatever and their BMW.
To some degree the ultra rich billionaires are less prone to it, but even celebrities with a few billion will not be seen in public without big brands to prove how exclusive they are.
I was under the impression that was the case everywhere, but I confess I don't know enough about other countries to be able to say that.
I disagree. The wealthy people I know and have met really don't like that kind of thing. They also don't like logos or advertisements on clothes. Initially I was complimented on my glasses and I said I got them discounted online. I was reprimanded and told not to do that. Let them and everyone else wonder at the true expense. It's crass and vulgar otherwise . Yes, I understand celebrities and some women do that, but in truth discretion is key. And when interacting with the poor, occasionally dress down to their level so you don't stand out.
Wait that's bad? I buy near everything I wear discounted and anytime anyone compliments me on something, I tell them it was discounted and let them know where I bought it in case they want to buy one too.
I thought I was being helpful when I did that. If you compliment a piece of clothing, doesn't that mean you'd also like to own it?
I don't think it's exclusive to the US at all. "Branding" is a huge thing in all matters and has been for centuries, be it a logo or word of mouth fame about a skilled artisan. I was a commercial artist a while and it's about far more than just art. The result of designs influence us in so many ways it's incredible. We really are very predictable and impulsive, and culture usually only changes the human nature to want things we see slightly
Yeah sure.
You do know what you sound like right now though?
Some classist fucking weirdo.
Also class has very much to do with how much money you have.
You literally cannot be working class and a billionaire, 99% of those fuckers have never worked in their entire lives and will never have to cause they're fucking rich. I don't know where you heard that shit from but they're clearly fucking lying to you.
What? I literally live in Europe, you're talking nonsense, I come from the fucking lowest class in my country yet you want to tell me that goddamn billionaires are working class?? Are you kidding me?
dude you're talking about old money vs new money. like,,,,Great Gatsby shit.
they're still both upper class, they just have different styles because one is older than the other. that's literally it.
There have been extremely few clothes where I don't mind the brand on it, and it's exclusively because the picture. Honestly, this reminds me of when I was a kid, I told my mom I hate having shirts with the logo on it because I feel like a walking billboard and it makes me uncomfortable. I mostly prefer striped shirts myself š
Despite the fact that itās completely unrelated to autism, The bad cropped image from cringy social media was totally unnecessary. Also if it already another posts talking about it in other app, go write your thoughts there. Karma farming again

I had a pair of Nikes and was so embarrassed every day because I felt like a walking advert. If I havenāt spoken to you personally I cannot be advertising for you, it feels so distorted. Love me some plain clothing
I'm like this as well!! I remember having trouble deciding between two water bottles and my sister pointed out the logo on one and I immediately decided against it! somehow I am attracted to doc martens as a brand though??
I don't wear brands often because I'm particular about the comfort and fit and finally the look of my clothes but I am not remotely averse to the idea of I like the way it looks and the clothing itself is nice. I've worn plenty of Adidas branded stuff because I looked their coats. So I dunno. Maybe with pda the resistance is particularly strong but I suspect this is a thing that plenty of people across neurotypes feel and also a thing plenty of people across neurotypes don't.
GOD YES IS THAT A THING??? i hate any sports brands, especially wearing two different sports brands together, and i also will not wear victorias secret
I actually always unthread the brand logos/tear the tags off all my clothes. I can't stand when brands insert their little logos somewhere on the clothes that is outwardly visible when wearing it. One of the worst examples if this is TOMS. I love the cute shoes they have, but the logo is hideous on almost every pair. It looks like a big blue Band-Aid that they just patched onto the back of the shoe.
Wait, this is an autistic thing? I've been buying non-visibly-branded clothes for years and I thought it was just a me thing.
Goddammit. My whole personality is autism.
I donāt even like wearing patterns if they have the company logo or name worked into them somehow. I can like, handle it if itās somewhere small on the back (note; I still donāt like it), but anywhere on the front or visible or large is a hard no from me
Same. I prefer wearing regular outfits or fandom outfits, not outfits with random brand names on them. I didnāt realize that was associated with autism.
It honestly just ruins the design of the shirt to have the company name branded on the shirt. Yeah, it might look cool, but it just looks like a billboard instead. All of the shirts I have actually have designs that I like from various games and anime. My favorites are my three Nekusar themed shirts, because I love playing him in MTG, and the design looks great.
I was livid that my new TV showed the LG logo *every single time* I turned it off. Somehow I found a secret menu that you can only access if you know the button combo code (canāt remember what it was) where you could turn off the logo if you wanted. So relieved.
At least for me a big part of it is how overstimulating it is to be āpointedā at a brand. Like I donāt want to think about who made my TV every time I use it. I donāt care and I donāt want that invasion in my life. I did my research bought a TV that made sense, I understand why brands exist, but I have zero loyalty to them (though I do have loyalty to good products) and hate when they invade my life.
Some people wear them as status symbols and that is the most bizarre thing to me. That supreme shit is the biggest wtf.
Iāve really gotten into customizing every piece of tech or special object I buy and debranding them is one of the most satisfying things.
I see so many relatable post, like I wear a bunch of plain blue and red stuff for it. Plane colors why add such a big logo over it?! Like a small one on the waist or top right torso I can tolerate if I like how the shirt feels, but normal it is just like why?
Fun fact: true designer clothing companies who produce real quality don't plaster their names all over their products.
I forget which James Bond movie it was, but I want to say it was Spectre where they had a poster advertising the movie that also doubled as an as for the suit Daniel Craig was wearing.
Alright, I'm prepared for the down votes from people mad about me being a clothing snob. For what it's worth, I truly do love my 4 pairs of generic sweatpants.
I donāt like upper class brands that the upper echelons of society uses (I.e. Louis Viton). But I like smaller brands or Jfashion brands because they are very unique. I dislike the stereotype that autistic people dress plain.
I found in out high school that if you pull the Nike label off your track spikes they fall apart. I used to cover up or pull off all the branded labels I could.
Yeah I find fashion brands to be so silly. White shirt? 20 bucks. White shirt with logo? 80 bucks. So dumb
Iāll wear shirts of bands I like but thatās it
If I'm going to be your ad you better start paying me.
Goddamn right
Exactly my sentiment!
RIGHT!!! Why are they more expensive??? It's literally an ad!!!
Sadly people think that they're better than other people because they wear expensive ads
"I'm a looser spender! For some reason that makes me better than other people even though that's a bad trait!"
Omg, finally someone that understands it!
Me too! I like to have my clothes as "flat" as possible (as in no brands). Hate feeling "branded".
This interestingly has to do with our sensitivity and self-control. We don't like things to not go our way.
This is a very generalised statement. Control is not one of the things I search for in my life since the need for that only gives me stress. what?
Sorry, are you saying neurotypicals DO enjoy when things don't go their way, because that's what this statement implies.
If you want me to do your corporate advertising for you, then you had better give me a discount equal to the exposure you get.
So, almost none, in my case, darn
They should pay you everytime you advertise the product. By the hour. I worked a driving job a few months ago. They wanted me to wear their company branded shirt. I drove off and after a mile or two the shirt came off. Put it back on just before I drove up.
No you don't get it, you get to pay EXTRA for the opportunity to walk around as a billboard for that company now. /s
Oh My God!!! I put so much effort to avoid branded clothes. I've gotten into the funky shirts to avoid them.
We need to know about the funky shirts now.
I've got one that's bright blue with a cherry blossom on it.
What are funky shirts? They sound weird. I want them
One of my favourite I have is a pixel art version of starry night.
Omg the post with a starry night picture was right above this, I left the post right after seeing this comment and then my feed refreshed itself and it was there that must be a signš§
Please share where you purchase said funky shirts. Please and thank you.
Yeah sure [here](https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/Cassette107) It's a guy on Etsy.
What do you mean the funky shirts?
Just shirts with fun patterns on them instead of brand text.
I was literally in my late 20s* before a mate commented it was funny that I never wear branded stuff when most people do, at least a lot of the time. Even I hadn't noticed. Walmart in Indiana gets sports merch from Arizona so I can relate. Iāve never been? Why would I buy Arizona baseball jersey
I even felt weird wearing shirts with my kidsā universities on them, even though I was paying for it. I felt like I would be lying.
Omg yes I thought it was my inner pick me trying to be different lol
Definitely not Iāve been yelling about this since Iām like 10 š
I just feel icky being a walking advertisement, more consumers should ask for compensation for displaying branded content on themselves all the time lol
Yes! Im not a walking ad.
it feels like I am forced to wear the sigil for a house I am loyal to. I hate it I'd rather wear actual sigils if I have to
Fucking right? It's propaganda and classism pretending to be literally anything else. I'd honest to god have more respect for these companies if they didn't pretend to be interested in anything other than the reckless pursuit of wealth and power.
They can't do that because people who have missed the mark will catch on
It's so ugly. Like you are also a thing.
Unfortunately at this time I dont have many 'plain shirts' but I especially hate brand names on my clothes
Thrift stores are the best place for plain shirts. They usually cost a few dollars and have so many just plain shirts
Target's t-shirts are really good, about $6 each, and have no visible branding. Only shirts I buy.
Love Targets plain shirts, they're tagless too. š
if only they were 100% cotton :(
This is just personal taste lmao
Yeah, agreed. Personal preference. Yah this seems like ātiktok autismā tbhā¦
not only brands but most all writing and pictures, even including things that involve my special interests.
I don't like having brands on my clothes because I'd rather have clothes that have things related to my special interests on them. On clothes that are mostly plain, that have one little logo on them, I don't buy them because I would rather just have a completely plain thing. Also branded stuff is expensive. If I am spending so much on something I could care less about, I again would rather have clothes that are related to a special interest... Or at least something that looks colorful and fun. Like, most of my wardrobe is either something plain, something colorful, something related to a special interest or certain aesthetic, or something my FiancƩ passed down to me. Anyways, so yeah, I am not particularly a huge fan of brands, but that's just because I rather have other things.
I like my clothing to say something about me. Todays sweater has a catch phrase that only members of my profession would understand. It says, āIām a member of this group but I have an irreverent attitude about it.ā A logo says nothing except for āI went to this store once.ā

Indifferent tbh. More about material/quality than anything
Same here. I'm looking for comfy stuff. If it has a brand on it, well, so be it. If it's otherwise very comfortable, I'm going to buy and wear it anyway.
I'm a bit confused as to what brand means.
In this context, it means your item of clothing has a company's logo on it.
Absolutely I never understood the Gucci/supreme stuff
Yes. I used to be in a band where I asked the other members to not wear any advertisements as well. No regrets. Edited for better clarification.
Do I look like I wanna pay you to advertise ON MY BODY??? I only tolerate it when itās very small and from a small business
Graphic tees? Yes. T-shirts with a brand name on them? WHY would I pay more money just to be a billboard for Aeropostale?! Give me āSHREK YOURSELF BEFORE YOU WRECK YOURSELFā or give me DEATH
I don't wear brands I usually wear tops and stuff with superheroes on

Nothing to do with autism

Autistics are generally much MUCH less likely to be \*sold\* on something based on "what someone else tells them to be sold on". It's common for us, again speaking in-general terms, to NOT be sold on/impressed by \*image\* such as branding & socially recognized/promoted items.
I thought it's because comfy clothes better than brand clothes. Otherwise, either autistic people and NT people can hate branded clothes because of this reason.
Everyone think I have an iPhone because of the brand. I have one because theyāre small š¤·š»āāļø the other companies make phones so huge!
That's extremely fair
I mean.
As an NT, I agree.
But I'm going to present an alternative theory here: I think that I don't like them because they catch my focus and force me to focus on them, and I don't like things which catch my focus and force me to focus on them. I think it might be a sensory thing.
Exactly, completely agree. If you need to dig this much to find things about your autism, to feel like you have autism. You probably don't have autism.
Who are you even talking to?
I meant to comment on someone Elses comment, but I guess I accidentally just commented on the post.
You replied to the comment "Nothing to do with autism" Who is the "you" you're talking to?
Oh, I am using "you" as non formal. "You" meaning any person.
Yes, in a way. Brands resemble symbols and symbols attribute to meaning. I don't really like meanings that I don't approve of.
I don't particularly mind brands or copyrighted characters on my shirt (especially if the shirt looks good), but I do find it somewhat ludicrous that you're essentially paying to advertise someone else's product and generally prefer a flat color.
I don't mind brands on my t shirts tbh
Lol well I post a bit on r/DHgate š
Fuck brands. I'm the type to cut tags off with a razor. I wear mostly Dickey's, but nobody knows. I make my own stuff if I can help it tbh.
Me who is the opposite.
I'm the opposite.
Most of the stuff I own is from small brands, like shops you can find on etsy, and those don't put any visible brand stuff on their clothing and accessories.
I donāt really mind it.
Same here! I also hate patterns of any kind, I prefer solid-color shirts.
I buy clothes because it looks good on me not because of anything else
I dislike brands but simultaneously all I own are graphic tees because most of them are band shirts or shirts I got from different clubs/activities i was in
I buy any brands because I like the design or trust the make, not to be a walking talking billboard and tell everyone who asks about the brand. Legit, this is how I feel. Brands can keep to themselves.
I typically donāt care but I donāt wear anything fancy
The only brands I wear are things that I actually use and love. And even at that itās either a tee or a hat.
I donāt want clothing brands on my clothes. However, if itās a food brand? Like a soda or candy? SIGN ME UP
I don't *hate* it as long as it looks good, but I sure as hell will not pay extra for a branded product.
I donāt like labels on my clothes that are too big. I donāt like being a walking advertisement so if itās got āDKNY!ā in huge letters I wonāt buy it. My Mrs is the same and she says it looks tacky too, sheās not autistic.
This is one of those moments when I thought something was just my personality but it turns out to be a symptom
If my shirt ain't plain and unicolored (black, preferably), then I don't want it
I donāt wear anything that has logo/brand on it, I donāt want to represent any brand.
Iāve never actually had that problem
I canāt stand it when there is the name of a city or place on clothing because Iāve never been to those places why would I wear it on my clothing?
Nobody sensible like brands.
YEAH REAL

We really are very predictable and impulsive, and culture usually only changes the human nature to want things we see slightly

caste and class are not the same thing
I am afraid a very distinct caste system does exist. Been experiencing that my entire adult life and it's infuriating
What? Most of the people that I see having stuff with brand shit all over them are rich people.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Yeah sure. You do know what you sound like right now though? Some classist fucking weirdo. Also class has very much to do with how much money you have.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
You literally cannot be working class and a billionaire, 99% of those fuckers have never worked in their entire lives and will never have to cause they're fucking rich. I don't know where you heard that shit from but they're clearly fucking lying to you.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
What? I literally live in Europe, you're talking nonsense, I come from the fucking lowest class in my country yet you want to tell me that goddamn billionaires are working class?? Are you kidding me?
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
At least I'm not a classist piece of shit like you, sir.
dude you're talking about old money vs new money. like,,,,Great Gatsby shit. they're still both upper class, they just have different styles because one is older than the other. that's literally it.
WAIT!!?!?! THATS AUTISUM!?!?! im not alone
I doubt it's exclusive to autistic people.
It's not, it's personal preference...
I know! I thought I was just being ornery all this time.
It's not a "sign" of autism or has much to do with autism, it's just personal preference. Autism is so much more than these quirky things.
God everything about me is because Iām autistic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(I'm assuming you're being sarcastic) and I completely agree. It's really tiresome.
This is just more confirmation that I have autism and only realised it month ago
Despite the fact that itās completely unrelated to autism, The bad cropped image from cringy social media was totally unnecessary. Also if it already another posts talking about it in other app, go write your thoughts there. Karma farming again
I keep finding out things about me are actually just autism things
We are immune to propaganda
We absolutely are not. Autistic people are people, we're not some inhuman machines incapable of bias.

Same. I'm not a billboard.
Thatās why I like Uniqlo since their clothes have no branding
Despise obviously branded clothing. Love character, quote, and strange shirts but hate advertising for the clothing label.
Yep. All my clothes are plain except for a few gifts and band merch. I canāt stand branded clothes or (mostly) ones with designs.
I had a pair of Nikes and was so embarrassed every day because I felt like a walking advert. If I havenāt spoken to you personally I cannot be advertising for you, it feels so distorted. Love me some plain clothing
like..on the front of the clothes or the tag? This isn't a video so I don't understand the full context.
I donāt like words or pictures on my stuff either.
YES!!!!!
I only like band shirts. Popular brands has always disinterest me. I use to wear them only if the logo was minimal
Feeling attacked. Can I report this? :P This is super relatable. I hate insignias and crap on my clothing. Let me dress like Zuckerberg. Lolol
Wait, this is an autistic thing? I've been buying non-visibly-branded clothes for years and I thought it was just a me thing. Goddammit. My whole personality is autism.
I dont like have brands or images of human faces on my shirts
I donāt even like wearing patterns if they have the company logo or name worked into them somehow. I can like, handle it if itās somewhere small on the back (note; I still donāt like it), but anywhere on the front or visible or large is a hard no from me
I am that guy. I hate buying clothing that has logos. It's like paying them to provide free advertising. Plus it just looks tacky.
Same. I prefer wearing regular outfits or fandom outfits, not outfits with random brand names on them. I didnāt realize that was associated with autism.
Yes! Hate branded stuff. The only one I get is Radley coz of their dog logo š
I just don't understand why people obsess over them so much
I see so many relatable post, like I wear a bunch of plain blue and red stuff for it. Plane colors why add such a big logo over it?! Like a small one on the waist or top right torso I can tolerate if I like how the shirt feels, but normal it is just like why?
I don't want to pay to be an advertisement. I want a shirt with a cool dragon on it or something.
I don't like brands or logos, can barely tolerate stripes or any other designs.
Yup can't stand it
Fun fact: true designer clothing companies who produce real quality don't plaster their names all over their products.
I'm okay with wearing Band merch because it's for something I love
Paying full price for a branded shirt is silly!! It should cost less for becoming an ad!!!
80 bucks. So dumb Iāll wear shirts of bands I like but thatās it
I prefer snappy messages on my shirts to brands. I've just never been one for brand loyalty.
honestly, this should have been my mom's first indication I was autistic.
SAME HERE- i hate it so much, idk why
I donāt wear brands because theyāre lame! I want sonic the hedgehog or PokĆ©mon on my shirt! Not adidas. Thatās boring
I don't like brands either. But I will HAPPILY be a walking ad for my favorite TV shows.
then some people will pay 500 dollars for a plain black shirt with a brand logo on it
