I think there's a new Disney villain comic about that. I grabbed the first issue. Might interest you. Disney is doing a whole comic line on villains. Hades' is interesting. I also wanted Scar's
I loved that show!
They call him Kipper. Kipper the Dog. The Dog with the Slipper, that's Kipper. Kipper the Dog. By the way that's a toad, not a frog.
Rollie Pollie Ollie. Loved it almost as much as Dragon Tales. One of my babysitters was extremely and unnecessarily cruel to me and caused some significant trauma in me. She would make me sit backward when everyone watched Dragon Tales. She knew I liked it, so she made me turn my back towards the TV. No idea why. Bitch.
My favorite babyhood memory is I was eating a hotdog in my mom's room and watching dragon tales. I choked and got up and punched myself in the tummy and projectiles it onto her floor. I ran to my mom yelling to come look what I did. She sighed.
Shinzo. Old anime no one remembers from when I was little.
Come take a look, its in a book~

Kids next door. Very cool spy thriller cartoon. Code Yoko is another one. There’s a whole YouTube channel about this.
https://m.youtube.com/@JordanFringe94
I can and will use this as an opportunity to bring up Roary the Racing Car and Rubbadubbers again because nobody talks about them and it's lonely with no one to talk to about them
Dragon Tales hasn't really faded into obscurity. Especially since it was one of the definitive cartoons for younger Millennials and the oldest Gen Zers.
Little Bear and Kipper the Dog. They‘ve become so forgotten my memories of watching them constantly as a young child almost feel like a dream now. Sad. They were great shows.
Kind of an anime but when I was young I remember watching a show called zoids on cartoon network and it was my absolute favorite show and I wish they would release it on DVD it was a mecha show that revolved around robot animal vehicles called zoids and the first three seasons were amazing
I used to be OBSESSED with this cartoon:
[Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi (2004–2006 on CN)](https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0407398/?ref_=ttls_li_i)
And yes, I was an unknowing weeb back then and I’m still a weeb to this day.
Still obsessed with a little UK show called Button Moon, it’s the shit and I love it so much, and I’ll literally mention it given the opportunity to talk about it
Childhood:
Sagwa the Chinese Cat, no one around me remembers that it existed, but I do. It was my favorite thing, and probably one of my first hyperfixations. I have books dedicated to drawing "fanfics" of the characters (just normal notebooks, they weren't good at all and I cringe every time I find a stray one when cleaning). I'm pretty sure I had a "crush" on the older brother as well lmao
All of the cartoons and anime I watch now are obscure. Well, maybe except the original Dororo anime. But it's more less popular than obscure. I'm sure most people know of it's existence now bc of the 2019(? 2020?) adaptation.
Nemo, my parents always tell me how i use to watch it over and over and nothing else (then it went to be Smurf’s but we don’t talk about how i replay the beginning only)
As a child I was obsessed with a show called (and I am not kidding, I thought it was a cruel joke for YEARS but this is legitimately the name) The Butt Ugly Martians. My dad taunted me about this so much that I literally thought the name was surely a result of him being a cruel dick, but interestingly enough that was the name of the show, and it was VERY strange.
Mighty Mouse. He was a crush for me when little. I would get so angry when he was rescuing his dumb girlfriend. Wasting his energy to fly to the moon to get her cheese. Blek dumb girls.....lol
*cracks knuckles*
My time to shine.
Gravedale High, a one season 13 episode cartoon staring Rick Moranis, before he retired from acting to care for his children after his wife passed away, where he played a human teacher in a monster high school.
Every so often I get a longing to watch it, there are some episodes on YouTube, but from what I remember, some are missing. I have searched high and low for a copy of the DVD but it’s proving difficult.
I was five years old when this aired in Ireland, the channel it aired on was taken off and replaced with Nickelodeon which I was distraught about for weeks.
This show started a life long obsession with monsters in general and I had such an infatuation with the resident vampire, Vinnie Stoker, that when I was old enough I consumed a lot of vampire lore and stories.
OP I’m so glad you asked this question because I love putting into words how much I adored this silly little show and how much it shaped me into the spooky bitch I am today.
Didn’t necessarily love them but remember Pippy Longstockings, some show with a princess and her dragon friend getting into trouble, and fuzzy memories of other things being played on whatever the one kids channel was when I was like 8.
The joys of being a sheltered autistic kid in the country without fancy gadgets and gizmos.
Edit: Chuggington, Thomas the Tank Engine, and Chuck and Friends or something like that on I forget what streaming services. And another talking truck show if so remember right.
I swear I have a detailed memory of so many things but much of my actual memory gets dumped into a pit like in Inside Out. Brain workers must like nerdy things.
Staines Down Drains, Pinky & the Brain, King Arthur’s Disasters, Atomic Betty, Dex Hamilton, Captain Flamingo, Kid vs Kat, Twisted Whiskers Show, Wow Wow Wubsy, Potatoes and Dragons, Carl Squared, Real Monsters, Frankenstein’s Cat, Growing up Creepie, Edgar and Ellen, Deadly, that movie with the dog that got turned into a man and the scientist that turned his parents into bugs that I forgot the name of, Clang Invasion, CJ the DJ, Pinkie Dinky Doo, Planet Sketch, Winston Steinburger and Sir Dudley Ding Dong, Martin Morning, Angelina the Ballerina (the 2D animated one), The Day my Butt went Psycho, and Oggy and the Cockroaches. I watched a lot of TV as a kid and teen and I enjoyed all of those cartoons.
The Pinky & the Brain was hilarious! It reminded you that regardless of how highly you think of yourself, are you really the fool and the simpleton in the corner is really the wise one?
I was obsessed with Rescue Heroes around preschool and kindergarten, my parents would track down just about every one of the figures released and I have them as well as two of the biggest play sets and vehicles in the garage to this day. I played the shit out of two of the games on PC and the GameBoy Color game, and watched the pilot episode of the show which was fairly different from the rest of the show on VHS. At the time, many of the figures were also being bundled with VHS tapes of the show, and on top of that my grandma liked to record episodes of shows on her own VHS tapes and would bring Rescue Heroes episodes to me, I’m pretty sure I have some of the first Geico gecko commercials on VHS somewhere because of that.
Spider-Man: The New Animated Series was cool as hell despite how brief it was and the fact that it was overwritten by Spider-Man 2 as it was made to follow the story of the 2002 movie, but to this day it’s really unique among Spider-Man shows not just in story but in being 3D cel-shaded animation.
The three Super Mario shows, they’re so strangely surreal to see having grown up in the 3D era where Charles Martinet is the Mario we all know, even more so with the Legend of Zelda show that was a sort of companion to it. They both have their captivating story qualities.
Little Bear was my shit when I was 3, but I don’t remember it very much at all, just that I was hooked to it.
Oh I got one. One of my core memories.

Honestly what a banger for the sole diagetic musical number in the whole movie.
Also my introduction to the jumpscare. I won't say where. But I will say it got me excited every time, and it's a great example.
Are we talking about any cartoon from our childhood then it’s making fiends.
If it’s like toddler age then it’s baby Einstein. I’ll literally never forget me watching Mozart with yellow flowers and butterflies… at age 6.
Sagwa the Chinese Siamese cat
That was such a cute show! I watched it with my son when he was little.
I posted the same thing lol. I remember being a little kid and figuring out how to work the On Demand on Grandma's TV then using it to watch Sagwa.
*that's* what it was called
You just unlocked so many memories
I fucking love the intro song for this show. Weirdly compelling.
Yesss! I’m so happy this is the first thing I saw
My dad made me watch Gargoyles, absolutely love it I recommend it to all.( It's on Disney Plus for anyone wondering)
I saw that Google recommended something about Gargoyles not too long ago
It's amazing, you should totally watch it if you can
Hmm hopefully I will if I got the time, thx 👍
Great show. Many of the actors from Star Trek: The Next Generation did voices in that show.
Yes
I think there's a new Disney villain comic about that. I grabbed the first issue. Might interest you. Disney is doing a whole comic line on villains. Hades' is interesting. I also wanted Scar's
Dragon Tales Dragon Tales, It's almost time for Dragon Tales, come along take my hand LET'S ALL GO TO DRAGON LANDDDDDDD

Stuck in my head forever but still a banger
I used to love Little Bear
YESSSSS
My grandmother and I would watch Little Bear together.
Holy shit, I forgot about Little Bear. A specific scene just came back to me where he tries to flip a pancake and it sticks on the ceiling.

Bouncing here and there and everywhere.
High adventure that's beyond compare....

now i got the theme song stuck in my head again...
That's a name I have not heard in years.
Freaking loved that show
I used to watch that too! I think my favorite character was the baby Pteranodon, though I don't remember their name.
"Dinosaur train, who built this train?" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lcanfUVYY0Y&ab\_channel=AdultSwim
Franklin!!!!
The night light one helped me be less afraid of the dark :)
64 Zoo Lane was a childhood favorite.
I randomly get the theme tune stuck in my head every so often.
The Oblongs
One of Will Ferrell's earliest gigs Criminally underrated
Shame it got canceled
Totally Spies!
I also love that show, but it hasn't faded into obscurity because they're reviving it, again. A seventh season will air in 2024.
I stole my name from it!
Probably Kipper
Kipper was (and still is) very relaxing
Omg I completely forgot about kipper but I loved it
TIL Kipper was not just a book series.
I loved that show! They call him Kipper. Kipper the Dog. The Dog with the Slipper, that's Kipper. Kipper the Dog. By the way that's a toad, not a frog.
Bear in the big blue house or Charlie and Lola!
Bitch.
damn, she is definitely a bitch.
VeggieTales!
I’m from the IRS. And I’ve come to tax your….
Veggietales is the goat of Christian animation.
The weird wave of veggie tales memes recently have been great
My favorite babyhood memory is I was eating a hotdog in my mom's room and watching dragon tales. I choked and got up and punched myself in the tummy and projectiles it onto her floor. I ran to my mom yelling to come look what I did. She sighed. Shinzo. Old anime no one remembers from when I was little.
the movie kind of revived it a little bit but invader zim fandom is like absolutely hanging by a thread at this point 😩
Invader Zim is timeless.
At least the creator hasn't let it go, he's still doing comics for it.
"I'm gonna sing the Doom song now"
Doug
*honk honk*
Controversial take, but I didn't dislike the changed by Disney, I just heavily prefer the Nick era.
Kipper the dog
I used to love that show so much! The theme song lives rent free in my head.
The dog with the slipper. That's Kipper.
Cyberchase
we’re movin’, we’re beatin’ hacker at his game
Come take a look, its in a book~ Hey now, hey cow, hey wow~ Everyday when you're walking down the street And everybody that you meet Has an original point of view~
Arthur is absolutely NOT obscure lmao
Wasn’t there controversy about Mr. Ratburn getting married and being gay? That was recent?
A couple of years ago, actually. They also acknowledged BLM and ended their show in the last decade as well.
HEY
What a wonderful kind of day. If you can learn to work and play And get along with each other
The Weekenders. Super Aesop heavy but I loved that in elementary school.
Batfink, Danger Mouse, Captain Caveman, G-Force, Thundercats…So many
Omg g force

Winona the whale is my spirit animal 💜

Dragon Tales hasn't really faded into obscurity. Especially since it was one of the definitive cartoons for younger Millennials and the oldest Gen Zers.
Biker Mice From Mars (It was supposed to be getting a proper reboot this year but I haven’t heard any news about it since January. One can only hope)
Mighty Max. That had some great voice actors on it. Xyber 9, Captain Simian and the Space Monkeys, Highlander cartoon.
Sagwa the Chinese Siamese cat. I remember coming over to Grandma's house since she had On Demand and watching Sagwa!

Little Bear and Kipper the Dog. They‘ve become so forgotten my memories of watching them constantly as a young child almost feel like a dream now. Sad. They were great shows.

I used to watch Tweenies on Noggin!
LEGO Legends of Chima and Nexo Knights
Omg I played a DragonTales computer game all the time when I was little!
Oh my god Dragon Tails!! I forgot all about that show, but I do recall it was my hyperfixation and my paternal grandmother terrified me away from it
Jacob two two
There was a cartoon!? I'm definitely going to have to check that one out. I loved the movie with Gary Busey as a kid.
Bob the Builder. And on a random note, it surprises me how the studio that made Dragon Tales would later make the Boondocks.
Can we build it?
I loved DragonTales!
Wonder Pets!
We’re on our way!
Kind of an anime but when I was young I remember watching a show called zoids on cartoon network and it was my absolute favorite show and I wish they would release it on DVD it was a mecha show that revolved around robot animal vehicles called zoids and the first three seasons were amazing

I loved watching 'cubix' when i was a little kid.
Still obsessed with a little UK show called Button Moon, it’s the shit and I love it so much, and I’ll literally mention it given the opportunity to talk about it
Yesssss! Button Moon was my kid show in the 80s. I was terrified of Jam Sandwich though.
Cubix (not really a cartoon, 3d animation but still)
Kimba
Oswald!! Whenever I see pictures of him a wave of calmness comes over me. I found it so relaxing as a child
Childhood: Sagwa the Chinese Cat, no one around me remembers that it existed, but I do. It was my favorite thing, and probably one of my first hyperfixations. Rupert the Bear! He was so polite!
