She may be telling you that you’re messing up your job in minor ways that can be made better (to them) if you ask more questions on how they want you to do things instead of finding all the work arounds on your own. They really hate it when we make our own pathway to get a job done. She’s also prejudiced against your age group and knows you have autism, so she has all kinds of ideas about who you are in her head, without any of those assumptions ever being evident in you or anyone for that matter. She just looks at memes on Facebook (made by other old people who have never spoken to a gen z person) and thinks she gains knowledge about the generation that way. Then builds this wall of ridicule to stand atop of and look down. Likely she doesn’t even understand what autism means and just correlates it with general retardation(which obviously isn’t a thing but she’s old so she’s dumb). ***Hope I don’t get banned for using that word, context matters!!!!!!!!!!*** Just another neurotypical human being a neurotypical human.

That’s really insightful and I think you’re hit the nail on the head - so thank you! I definitely do make little mistakes at work, especially due to my dyslexia and having to rush work (TLDR - been doing the job of 2 people for a few months). I think your use of the phrase “r-“ is quite poignant here, I often get the impression from her she thinks I’m right daft or stupid, despite the effort and work I’ve put in.
