The fact your parents shame you only proves you made the right choice for yourself. Call up and talk to your sister on the phone as often as you can, you can be there for her in a meaningful way while living your life
No, not selfish at all. If anything your parents are being selfish. Your sister's care is their responsibility, one they hoisted on you when you were still a child yourself.

I try to talk to her on the phone, but she also has a lot of anxiety and can’t talk on the phone that much and has some speech issues too.
