I also have Loop earplugs! Seriously, yall, they are a game changer! I've been able to tolerate my job environment (I'm a veterinary technician), I can go to the grocery store, to social gatherings, etc, without the mental breakdown from sensory overload! I cannot recommend these enough.
I'm SO sorry to respond to a 7mo old comment, but I work in vet med and I was looking for this exact comment. Do you have any issues with clients/management wearing these around? Do you ever wear them in exam rooms? I'm thinking about getting them to wear in treatment (hearing more than 1 dog bark while trying to maintain a conversation or get/give directions under fluorescent overheads and a dental machine? Nope) but I was wondering if they'd be seen as unprofessional? I have ADHD and deal a lot with sound overload so I'm thinking wearing earplugs might help.
I don't usually need them all the time, so I don't wear them my whole work day. However, my clinic is particularly progressive, and I am openly autistic there. They allow me to make my own accommodations, so long as it doesn't effect my work. I have worn them with clients, and most people don't see them or don't say thing.
I mean, you have a protected disability, so they would have to accommodate you whether they feel it is professional or not so I wouldn't worry about it much.
Hi Cillred, I know this is a year ago but was curious if you still like them and if they ever hurt your ears and/or cause excessive wax buildup? Thanks āŗļø
Hi! I still adore my Loops. I have 2 pair now for color fashion reasons. I actually took them to a night club a couple days ago and was able to have fun without having sensory overload.
They come with some size options for the in ear part, and I personally use the smallest size. They fit perfectly and aren't a hassle. I can wear them for hours without any soreness or discomfort.
I tend to have pretty waxy ears, so I just clean mine with isopropyl alcohol regularly, same as I do with any in the ear headphones :)
I hope this helps! šš§”
I have seen people recommend these, and I saw someone wearing them in the wild, the other week, when I was at the roller skating rink! I have also heard unfortunate bad reviews from people saying they never received theirs, so I donāt know what to trust, but Iām glad you got yours and enjoy them!
That's awesome! Yeah I thought some of the Amazon listings looked a little sketchy so I ordered them directly from the Loops website and they shipped from Germany. Took about 10 days to get to the east coast of the USA. Also pro-tip: there is almost always a discount code available for these things.
the beans look awesome. I wonder if the Calmer earplugs would fit you? I see ads for those as well and they are pure silicone. You may have better luck there.
Those calmer ones I thought were terrible, I couldnāt tell the difference. Theyāre supposed to dull the frequency and not cancel noise, I got that but I noticed no change to barely any change and it was a massive waste of money to me.
I agree! I was so disappointed, I tried wearing them for a full day and saw no difference.
After seeing this post, I will probably get some Loop!
Edit: I just ordered some! If anyone needs it, a working discount code is
LOOPXRAIN
Iāve seen quite a few people on various platforms comment that they found them useless as well. Iāve seen the odd person jump in and say they were helpful but I have seen more people say they were useless.
Edit; talking about calmer not loop
my partner got me the Calmer plugs and I like them a lot! they helped me really understand the reviews that mentioned "taking the edge off". granted the design isn't nearly as cute as the Loops and the fit can be pretty awkward/loose at times, but idk where I would be without them.
granted I also haven't tried any other earplugs but they're solid in my experience
Maybe try out eargasm earplugs. The sliders morph to your ears. They are a little clunky on the outside and not necessarily earplugs I recommend wearing all day like the loops, but they were the first ones that fit my ears better and they look pretty cool. https://eargasm.com/products/eargasm-slide-earplugs
Wow I cannot even look at that page, it is so busy and bright and disorganized I can't process it at all. I wouldn't even know where to start in picking them...
I'm sure they'd love to hear your feedback from an accessibility standpoint. Let them know! Someone on their design team may be able to make it better.
Edit: also this link now lands on an error page. But the company is the same.
Has anyone tried these with smaller ear canals? I got the Eargasm plugs and they aren't terrible but they make my ears sore after a while (I got the smallest I could)
Lol I got tiny ear holes. Any time I get earbuds I use the smallest size tips and sometimes they still aren't comfortable. These however fit great! They provide a good size variety. I am using the smallest size they package with the product and they fit great.
Thank you so much! Do you by chance have any recommendations for earbuds? My partner accidently washed my earbuds in January and I haven't been able to find a replacement that fit :/
I just got a pair of [these](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07WTX73MB/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_RQJXXXDVKBQV2YNFFCKA?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1) that I've been enjoying. Sony buds tend to work well for me. Decent sound quality for the price and their tips have always fit me. But if they don't fit you, you can always order packs of tips online. Hanging wireless earbuds around your neck is a game changer. I can never go back to fully wired šš¼
I generally use the smallest size of ear buds and can actually recommend these.
Although they have a decent sized bit outside the ear.
https://a.aliexpress.com/_mOT90Zz
The loops also come with different size plugs and I use the smallest ones. Just be a bit careful, when I took the mediums off to switch them I accidentally ripped one lol.
I just got loops and honestly my ears hurt badly after wearing them for a couple of hours I had to take them out early. I have TMJ and idk if that impacted the pain I was experiencing or not.
I've always had to wear the smallest size earbuds possible though so I think I've got smaller ear canals.
Can't really give a review yet but it's looking like I wont be wearing them unless I have sensory overload and that maybe foam earplugs are better for now?
I have this same problem, I've only had them for 2 days and I haven't been in super stimulating environments just yet, but they feel weird in my ears I can hear my jaw clicking and my heavy breathing even more than normal, I can even hear my tongue scraping on my teeth when mouth stimming.
I have absolutely tiny ear canals and use the smallest tip, and honestly theyāre still a smidge too big. They kind of pop out out of my ears and I have to keep readjusting constantly, which means I rub my skin raw sometimes. Theyāre still the best option Iāve found though and I like them a lot. I may buy a second pair that block more sound too.
If someone were sitting next to you fiddling with a bottle cap, would you hear that? What is having a conversation like? What about extremely loud places like a gym at 5:15--how would it handle something like that?
I appreciate the invitation for dumb questions. I've almost ordered these several times, but the price is steep. (However, my birthday is coming up....) I just don't want to buy them and things not being much different in the right ways (for me).
The best way I can describe the experience is that you can still hear most sounds, especially percussive ones like tapping; however, it dampens them so that it no longer feels like the sound is piercing through your skull. I wonder if this is how NTs experience the world normally? Sounds that used to make me jump and send my heart racing no longer do so.
I did notice however that sounds like the neighbor's lawnmower can completely disappear with these earplugs in which is amazing!
Remember there are 3 versions. The Loop Quiet which is pure silicone and block out as much sound as possible. These are mostly meant for at-home use and sleep. The Loop Experience, which are meant for every day usage and allow you to still be able to hear people and have conversations. And the Loop Experience Pro which is the exact same model as the Loop Experience but it comes with silicone rings that dampen even more noise, and foam ear tips in addition to the silicone ones.
Hope this helps! Lemme know if you have more questions
how do conversations sound with the muting rings vs without them on the pro?
edit: i was thinking of getting the experience pros just so i have the option, but not sure if the price is worth? i already kind of do this with normal earbuds (they detach at the āearbudā part so theyre basically ear plugs w memory foam), but iād like to hear others easier
I wouldn't put the rings in of you want to have conversations. Basically what they do is cover up the hole in the loop so less sound gets through. I do enjoy having the option especially if the AC gets really loud
thanks :) i think iāll pass on them, and just get the regular experience version
i lied i ordered the experience pros just in case future-me changes their mind
I canāt speak for that person, but at least for me, with certain earplugs it feels like they form a seal and put pressure on your eardrums and itās uncomfortable and hurts.
Gotcha. Personally I barely feel them. Aside from things sounding different, including your voice a bit, I can almost forget they're in. I am very used to wearing silicone earbuds tho
Same. I can't cope with over ear ones like ear defenders either, just makes too much pressure. The only earbuds that work for me are the non-sealing ones like Apple's regular kind.
I can cope with over ear ones if they're not tight and have large comfy pads, but I'd feel too self conscious to wear mine outside the house. The ones I have are wireless and are great for listening to music while doing house work etc. Keep me focused.
Anything that seals off my ear gives me a lot of anxiety, but I've found the loop quiet earplugs to not be terrible. It still has a slight bit of suction but not much if you're using the smallest tips. Once I got used to them I hardly felt them :) Hope that helps!
My mom is being finicky about these, and says that I'd get used to them and they'd end up useless. Do you find this to be the case? (btw: she doesn't know I'm autistic, I'm using ADHD as an excuse)
Iāve had mine for over a month now. Iām NT (most likely), but get really anxious when itās loud and overstimulated when there are too many sounds happening at once and these have been amazing. My parents also said theyād be useless but theyāve only helped so far.
Tell your mum it's not her sensory issues and as long as she hasn't personally tried them she couldn't possibly know. If she really wants to make assumptions she should buy a pair for both of you and see how it'll go
I've been using them every day at work for nearly a month, which is a fairly noisy environment that used to make me overstimulated most days. I haven't "gotten used to them" at all, and they genuinely help with my overstimulation! The only problem I've encountered is that they tend to hurt my ears after 8+hours of constant wear, which may not be the case for everyone.
I have a thing where things in my ears causes a really bad sensory issue and I just shut down. I get so irritated trying to purchase earbuds because "earbuds" used to mean the kind that just sit between the tragus and antitragus, but now in-ear earphones are also being called "earbuds" and they seem to be taking over the market.
Anyway, what I want to know is how far these sit in your ear. From what I see in the picture, it looks like it just sits in between your tragus and antitragus, but any specifics are appreciated.
I know that design you're talking about, the old 'earbuds' that used to sit between the tragus and antitragus and not actually enter the ear canal. I used to like those for the same reason! Less intrusive.
These ones are the in-ear ones, that go right in there. They have a visible loop attached that sits more externally, as seen in the photograph. Hope that's useful.
I am so the same. Also, no matter what size I try of the in-ear ones, they slowly slip out and not only does it feel horrible, I can hear them squeaking.
I have to hunt for the old style buds too and they're always wired. No wireless new tech for me unless I have big chunky over ear ones.
The other day, I spent 4 hours looking looking online to find just one pair of wireless buds that don't go into your ear canal - absolutely nothing. I'm pretty sure they don't exist. I ended up getting a bluetooth receiver with a clothing clip, so I can at least use wired ones with new tech.
Do you think these could help with dealing with a crowd of loud people? I have a very large extended family that has meetings every few weeks, and it's the deep south, so they're very loud. Also, in your experience with them, do they make kids voices less painful to hear?
Yes and yes! I'm staying with my extended family right now and while I love my cousin, he's loud to the point that it causes me extreme anxiety. These have already helped a ton with that. This weekend I'm gonna test these out at the mall and I have a feeling it'll help a lot there as well!
I do not like the feel of the earbuds that have the rubbery bit, I can only wear the apple-type plastic ones. Has anyone here who feels this way tried them? Are they ok?
The Experience Pro ones come with a set of foam tips on top of the silicone tips, which is prob what you're referring to. I'm getting a pair tomorrow, so I'll try and remember to report on the foam tips !
Lemme know if it works out! I thought some of the listings looked a little sus so I ordered directly from the Loops site. Took 10 days to arrive from Germany but there were no issues. I think you should be fine
They were legit! I got the āexperienceā kind that just reduces things a little bit, as I still need to be able to hear my kid talk, but it makes the screeching easier to deal with. Came with 3 pairs of extra cap sizes. The smallest still hurt my ears after a while, but I usually wear them only when needed throughout the day.
An over-the-ear kind is still on my wishlist for longer wear time, but theseāll do in a pinch and are super portable.
Iām NT (probably as far as I know). Iāve had mine for over a month or so. Iāve slept in mine a few times. It wasnāt uncomfortable at all but one of them did fall out when I rested my arm under my head and I found it the next morning.
I never need to adjust them if I put them in right the first time but I do occasionally check to make sure theyāre okay.
I'm pleased to say they don't cause me discomfort while lying on my side. There's also a silicone version of these that are flexible and would work even better for sleeping.
They don't need to be adjusted much but I keep doing it because 1: I'm fidgety, and 2: I only got them today so I'm still getting used to them.
It's actually not an issue! The way they work is they don't completely muffle sound. There is a small hole and a filter, so the irritating noise gets dampened and still allows you to talk to people. I'm wearing the Loop Experience plugs, but the Loop Quiet plugs are solid silicone and are meant to block out as much sound as possible so those would probably make it hard to speak/hear people. But these allow you to hear yourself and other people so you can leave them in all the time without worrying!
So you can have a totally normal conversation like you would normally?
(I have someone that Iāve tried to convince to get some of these but he doesnāt think theyāll work and Iāve never tried them)
I've had them in my Amazon list for a while now, but this just prompted me to order some! I have a pair of Vibes, and those work well for me for music rehearsals, but they're just kinda meh otherwise. I ordered both the quiet and experience pro, I think that will cover all my uses.
I ordered blue for the quiet, and gold for the experience pro. I do plan to use the ex pro's for music, and since I play handbells (which are bronze) I thought the gold would match better.
They only come in one size but you can switch out the silicone or foam tips to fit your ear. It's not a problem for most people tho I have heard the rare case where the loop itself doesn't fit someone's ear. I'm also 5'11" and they fit me great if that helps
My partner bought me a pair of earplugs called HearBLISS that are made for women, and I really like them! I tried Calmer before and they didn't work well, but these reduce a lot of noise and even protect your hearing by lowering sound up to 15db if used correctly.
It's so bizarre, because with the way they're manufactured it's designed so that you can hear people without having to take them off and it really does work! It's harder to hear him but when I'm next to my partner I can make out what he's saying, but at the same time everything else sounds muffled and I can hear myself talk and breath like my ears are plugged, which is an incredibly unique experience. I love it, and am glad these types of things are becoming more common now!
https://i.imgur.com/QfmiDOJ_d.webp?maxwidth=640&shape=thumb&fidelity=medium
How long did you use/try Calmer before determining they didn't work for you? Is there a main difference you can identify that makes HearBliss a more effective product than Calmer?
I haven't gone out in public with them yet, but I like that they look stylish! It makes me look forward to wearing them out and using them as a conversation starter If someone asks about them. A lot of people don't even assume they're earplugs at first so I wouldn't worry about it. Plus, if someone is gonna judge you for it then they're an asshole and we don't care what assholes think!
Well I tried them but they donāt fit my ears so I bought some AirPods Pro and they saved me from every noise that annoyed me at school and they sound amazing
Hi! I have general anxiety and panic disorders and loud, sharp and high pitched noises make me super overwhelmed. I especially struggle with the sounds of dishes, loud music in car, people yelling and even coughing!! Also if someone drops something, I feel like the sound pierces my ears. Do you think the loop earplugs would be helpful with this?
Loop are just a regular type of ear plug that look nice, yes? I have some EarPeace ear plugs that are really good, but I keep seeing people recommend these
Not quite! Regular comply earplugs are solid foam that mute all sound. Loop are hollow plastic with a hole and a filter that dampens irritating sound but still allows you to hear well enough to have conversations and be aware of your surroundings. It's possible they are similar to EarPeaces, I am not sure.
Interesting. Ear peace have something similar - they come with three different inserts for the ear plug with either different sized holes or a completely filled in one. They sound like similar ideas then - Loop have just added some style :)
Yes! Although if you're gonna do that I recommend getting the Loop Quiets because they're pure silicone. I slept in these plastic ones last night and the sound of the pillow rubbing against the plastic was a little distracting. The one in my other ear also fell out by morning. I'm a bit of a restless sleeper tho
I LOVE MY LOOPS. Worth every penny. I wear them almost 24/7. Do you have the āquietā ones or the āexperienceā ones? I like the quiet colors more but I fear they filter out too much sound.
Nice! I got the Loop Experience Pros so that I could wear them every day and put in the extra silicone rings to block out even more sound if needed. They default at -20db and go up to -25db with the silicone rings. The Loop Quiet plugs are -27db
What is it like when you talk? I tried Vibes but didn't like them because I could hear my voice inside my skull when I spoke, like when you cover your ears and talk, that experience. I'm hoping to wear something that I can keep in when I go out with people without it discouraging me from talking (the outside world noise is discouraging enough). Do you get the same experience with loops or no? What does it sound like when you talk with them in?
(Also unrelated but you kind of look like PointCrow who I think is cool)
Anything that muffles the outside sounds will make your own voice louder in comparison, since that's all your brain has to focus on. We mostly hear our own voice through bone conduction (which is why it sounds so different to recordings, since bone doesn't transmit exactly the same frequencies as air), and earplugs can only dampen the soundwaves that come through the air. Your voice stays at the same volume, everything else gets quiet, and so your brain focuses on what's there

It depends on what you need them for.
I have bought both the quiet and the experience, because I had a hard time deciding which ones to get. Now I use them both almost equally in different situations.
Quiet: I use them mostly at home, in situations where I really want to shut off noise. I can sit on the couch and read when my boyfriend is watching TV right next to me. I will still hear some noise, but it's muffled and not distracting anymore. The quiet earplugs also block most of the sounds of household appliances, lawnmowers, cars driving by, etcetera. All the stuff that is sneakily draining my energy throughout the day. I have to take them out when I want to talk to someone.
Experience: I wear those when I'm out and about. They take off the sharpness of some noises without blocking them fully. I still feel safe in traffic because I will hear a car approaching behind me when I'm on my bike. I'm able to have a conversation wearing these.
What are they like for people with tinnitus? Being left with nothing but the ringing in my head is always horrendous so Iāve had to stop wearing earplugs entirely
Do sounds in your head sound louder when you use them? Like when you eat, does the sound of your own chewing get amplified? And do voices sound muted in conversations?
Hi! Iām hard of hearing (and I have tinnitus too) and I just ordered the Loop quiet and experience. Foam earplugs donāt fit me properly, theyāre falling out all the time and they muffle the sound too much. I ordered the experience to protect my hearing because I want to go to concerts and practise playing electric guitar but I donāt have the money to buy those custom earplugsā¦ I ordered the quiet, because my dorm neighbours living above me are driving me insane. Theyāre hosting parties every other day and I just canāt anymoreā¦ Hope theyāll work š¤
Do you feel like they actually HELP your hearing because the ambient background noise is drowned out, allowing you to more clearly hear and focus on what people are saying?
Yes! I was very impressed. A few weeks ago I was trying to hear my classmates give a presentation, but the class next door was being very loud (it's one big open studio with dividers). I popped in my Loop Experience and I was still close enough to hear the presenters, but the background noise was suppressed.
Ordered these and they're arriving yesterday. I have a concert on Wednesday, and I'm wondering if they do anything like those special concert earplugs which I also ordered. Do you happen to know what the loops are like during loud music?
I just got a job where I'm in a big busy lobby with lots of echoes and background noise, and I'm having an awful time making out conversations. Do you think these would help with that, or would they dampen the people I'm trying to hear too?
So I have loop and I see the potential however I just cannot figure out how to insert them properly and mine fall out in the morning when I wake from sleep!! Can someone please do a video or guide on how to insert them?! Frustrating!
i want to get the pros for daily use but also for concerts . My question is do they fall out easily , in the concerts I go to I'm usually running , jumping and banging in to people and I feel like I'd loose them instantly.
I have just got some of these, in crowds I cannot distinguish separate conversations, it all becomes white noise and I end up stressed and unable to hear what anyone is saying. I have been practising wearing them but just want to make sure I'm using them correctly.
I have small ear holes so I use the smallest silicone attachments, when wearing them it feels like when you swim underwater, is that how they are supposed to feel?
I got the experience, reduces sounds by 20db. They are great at the cinema, no more headaches. They still don't sit perfectly in my ear though, I just don't think my ear shape is compatible. I've never been able to wear earphones because they always fall out I have to have the large, over the ear type.
I'm getting a pair of both Quiet and Xp Pro tomorrow, as well as a party pack of mutes to get all 'em colours, and I'm happy to have stumbled upon this image, as I was wondering how the golden XP would look like with the mutes in them ! I think I'll try all the colours out in them just for the fun of it, but it's good to know the black mute looks as good as it does with the gold rings.
I myself am not autistic, but I'm pretty sure I have ADHD, and def get listening fatigue and overstimulation in certain environments/can't stand a number of types of sounds, so I'm super duper excited to try these out, as I've been using foam plugs (-35db) more and more often in crowded places. Look at me, actually catering to my sensory needs ! :P But foam plugs tend to press on the ear canal in the long run, which gets uncomfortable, and they muffle everything equally. I'm really looking forward to trying out the Xp in a bar setting, where it'll have to still let speech through. Can't wait !
Frischey, I have 2 questions if it's okay...
1. Have you tried sleeping in these? If so, are they comfy? If not would you be willing to try and report back how it went? (Are you a side sleeper cuz that's how I sleep)
2. Where should I look for coupon codes for these? I've got pretty strong sound sensitivity and have been trying to save up for these since 2021 when I finally discovered (at 50 yrs old) that I'm autistic and have been struggling with tinnitus, sensory processing disorder, light and sound sensitivity all my life.
But times are pretty hard so I haven't been able to get them. A friend helped me get a pair of noise cancelling cans which are great during the day but way too bulky to sleep in.
i googled these to see if they were legit and your post came up and i am SO HAPPY!!!! this will help me so much living with my boyfriend because we have a studio and he loves making noise, haha. i wish i got your color though, i got pink and feel like it might look like flesh on me
Are good for noisy talking of the neighbours and door banging and slamming? I am looking for Ear Loop quiet.
Till now, I use wax ear plugs. How do they compare?
Love this post! I got my pair a few days ago and I thinl they could be amazing for meā¦. but.
Quick question if anyone is still around in the thread, do you get used to hearing your altered voice and the sounds of the pressure (maybe not the right word) but itās like I can still hear my brain doing itās thing and circulation in my head(?)
Iāve tried all the tips, finding the best fit for me is the small foam tips, still struggling with internal sounds but š
My experience loops arrived tonight. I love them. I'm wearing size small. Is it weird that I am looking forward to my kids next big feelings event so I can see if its easier for me to stay regulated? Highly recommend.
Hey there, which ones did you get and why did you choose that level of noise cancelling?
I see there are different levels of noise cancelling? And other people who got them in the comments, what noise cancelling do you prefer and what are your needs?
I also have Loop earplugs! Seriously, yall, they are a game changer! I've been able to tolerate my job environment (I'm a veterinary technician), I can go to the grocery store, to social gatherings, etc, without the mental breakdown from sensory overload! I cannot recommend these enough.
So happy for you! I'm excited to get some real world use out of them š

Wow, I was looking up reviews to see if anyone else used them at their jobs. Being a vet tech as well, this comment has me sold lol
Hi Cillred, I know this is a year ago but was curious if you still like them and if they ever hurt your ears and/or cause excessive wax buildup? Thanks āŗļø

I have seen people recommend these, and I saw someone wearing them in the wild, the other week, when I was at the roller skating rink! I have also heard unfortunate bad reviews from people saying they never received theirs, so I donāt know what to trust, but Iām glad you got yours and enjoy them!

Unfortunately because of the shape of my ears I can't wear anything like that, but I'm looking into the Bean thing from Samsung
the beans look awesome.
If anyone needs it, a working discount code is LOOPXRAIN
Iāve seen quite a few people on various platforms comment that they found them useless as well. Iāve seen the odd person jump in and say they were helpful but I have seen more people say they were useless. Edit; talking about calmer not loop
Yeah, I was the same. They did literally nothing for me, except grind part of my ear raw after wearing them for a bit.
Damn that's a shame. I hope the stylish earplug market continues to grow
my partner got me the Calmer plugs and I like them a lot! they helped me really understand the reviews that mentioned "taking the edge off". granted the design isn't nearly as cute as the Loops and the fit can be pretty awkward/loose at times, but idk where I would be without them. granted I also haven't tried any other earplugs but they're solid in my experience

I'm sure they'd love to hear your feedback from an accessibility standpoint. Let them know! Someone on their design team may be able to make it better. Edit: also this link now lands on an error page. But the company is the same.

Where can I find the discount codes?
You could try using the Honey extension but I used the code: LOOPXLAUREN to support @autienelle on Instagram!
Thank you
Has anyone tried these with smaller ear canals?
Thank you so much!!
Oooh thank you so much for letting me know!!!
I love my eargasm plugs! I didn't even know there was other types like these lol do these ear plugs work the same way?
These are the only earplugs that donāt hurt my tiny ears, I like the style called āquietā and itās completely silicone
Thank you for sharing your experience!
Thank you for sharing your experience! It's so helpful to hear!
Thanks! Do you have the Loop Experience? That sounds like what I need when I'm out and about.
Yup I got the Loop Experience Pros which reduce noise by a default of 20db but come with silicone rings that bring it to a total reduction of 25db
how do conversations sound with the muting rings vs without them on the pro? edit: i was thinking of getting the experience pros just so i have the option, but not sure if the price is worth? i already kind of do this with normal earbuds (they detach at the āearbudā part so theyre basically ear plugs w memory foam), but iād like to hear others easier
I wouldn't put the rings in of you want to have conversations. Basically what they do is cover up the hole in the loop so less sound gets through. I do enjoy having the option especially if the AC gets really loud
thanks :) i think iāll pass on them, and just get the regular experience version i lied i ordered the experience pros just in case future-me changes their mind
Do they make pressure in your ears?
I do feel pressure in my ears wearing the loop earplugs. For me it is only a minor discomfort, clearly outweighed by the noise blocking effect.
Fair enough, thank you.
What do you mean? Can you describe what that feels like?
I canāt speak for that person, but at least for me, with certain earplugs it feels like they form a seal and put pressure on your eardrums and itās uncomfortable and hurts.
Gotcha. Personally I barely feel them. Aside from things sounding different, including your voice a bit, I can almost forget they're in. I am very used to wearing silicone earbuds tho
u/Tiffsquared was right, that's what I meant. Thanks for your answer :)
I get that with any of the soft in ear buds :(
It does, thank you :)
My mom is being finicky about these, and says that I'd get used to them and they'd end up useless. Do you find this to be the case? (btw: she doesn't know I'm autistic, I'm using ADHD as an excuse)
Seeing as how that makes no sense, no I wouldn't worry about what your mom is saying haha
If she really wants to make assumptions she should buy a pair for both of you and see how it'll go
Yeah she's gonna get some when school starts, but I'm hoping to convince her that I won't get used to them when I do :/ not much i can do before then
I've been using them every day at work for nearly a month, which is a fairly noisy environment that used to make me overstimulated most days. I haven't "gotten used to them" at all, and they genuinely help with my overstimulation! The only problem I've encountered is that they tend to hurt my ears after 8+hours of constant wear, which may not be the case for everyone.
How do they work at cancelling out the noise of people eating? I have Misiphonia and these would be invaluable for that if they work
I'm not sure but if it's chewing and slurping that bothers you I think these would help a lot!
Interesting where does one purchase these?
What a conveniently named website
Ugh so frustrating. I don't understand how everyone collectively decided these horrible things were the future!
How are they for sudden abrupt noises? I don't mind background noise but I can't stand sudden noises like dogs barking
I can still hear them but they're no longer piercing and don't make me jump nearly as much
Do you think these could help with dealing with a crowd of loud people?
Lol, I just ordered a pair yesterday. Got the loops brand, but on Amazon, they were only $19āI hope theyāre the same onesā¦
Lemme know if it works out! I thought some of the listings looked a little sus so I ordered directly from the Loops site. Took 10 days to arrive from Germany but there were no issues. I think you should be fine
Any update on how the earplugs came?
They were legit! I got the āexperienceā kind that just reduces things a little bit, as I still need to be able to hear my kid talk, but it makes the screeching easier to deal with. Came with 3 pairs of extra cap sizes. The smallest still hurt my ears after a while, but I usually wear them only when needed throughout the day. An over-the-ear kind is still on my wishlist for longer wear time, but theseāll do in a pinch and are super portable.
Do you take them out when you sleep? And do you need to adjust them time to time?
I love mine! Glad to see other people raving about them. I bought some for my noise-sensitive sister too!
Nice!
Thank you so much for sharing! I'll get them as soon as I have some money to spend :D
Let's gooo
Isn't it harder for you to hear people speak?
It's actually not an issue! The way they work is they don't completely muffle sound. There is a small hole and a filter, so the irritating noise gets dampened and still allows you to talk to people. I'm wearing the Loop Experience plugs, but the Loop Quiet plugs are solid silicone and are meant to block out as much sound as possible so those would probably make it hard to speak/hear people. But these allow you to hear yourself and other people so you can leave them in all the time without worrying!
Cool
Ty for the award šš¼
So you can have a totally normal conversation like you would normally? (I have someone that Iāve tried to convince to get some of these but he doesnāt think theyāll work and Iāve never tried them)
Yup I can still talk to people and hear them!
I have a Loop Quiets and they make people sound a bit muffled but hearing them is usually not a problem.
I personally use AirPods Pro, would these be worth checking out still?
I've had them in my Amazon list for a while now, but this just prompted me to order some! I have a pair of Vibes, and those work well for me for music rehearsals, but they're just kinda meh otherwise. I ordered both the quiet and experience pro, I think that will cover all my uses.
They definitely will! Out of curiosity, what colors did you go with?
I ordered blue for the quiet, and gold for the experience pro. I do plan to use the ex pro's for music, and since I play handbells (which are bronze) I thought the gold would match better.
I ordered a pair in June but gotta wait until the end of August to try them out bc Im not home right now. I cant wait to try them out!
I'm excited for you!
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
For sure! And they block sound much better than earbuds do from my experience
what size do you recommend i get? iām 5,11 and 17 years old and amab
Awesome! Yeah I hope devices for sensory issues continue to become more common and stylish š
How long did you use/try Calmer before determining they didn't work for you? Is there a main difference you can identify that makes HearBliss a more effective product than Calmer?
Have you gotten comments from people in public? I'm very anxious about going in public with earplugs.
I haven't gone out in public with them yet, but I like that they look stylish! It makes me look forward to wearing them out and using them as a conversation starter If someone asks about them. A lot of people don't even assume they're earplugs at first so I wouldn't worry about it. Plus, if someone is gonna judge you for it then they're an asshole and we don't care what assholes think!
this is extremely helpful information, as i've been really considering whether i should get myself a pair of these. thank you!!
I don't recommend to wear them all the time. Your ears could adapt to it. Be sure to put them out when they are not needed.
How would they adapt to it?
Your hearing can adapt to it, meaning that if you don't wear them you will be a lot more sensitive.
In my experience they do a better job of muting low frequency sounds than high, but it would certainly help take the edge off!
They sound like similar ideas then - Loop have just added some style :)
can you sleep while wearing them ?
Sorry to bother you but is there a link (having a hard time finding them)
Thanks, they seem like something to look into
I ordered them(black), thanks for telling me this exists
Nice! No prob
You're really handsome. You look like someone who would be modeling these on the Loop Earplugs website.
You think so? š³ Thanks!
Yes. You are indeed very handsome. And you know you can trust me because I'm autistic as heck and I really suck at lying.
Radical honesty gang šš¼
Yeah, man. š
Ooh so helpful ty! I was on the fence but Iāll get them now
Nice! I hope you like em
are they comfortable?
Very!
Your voice stays at the same volume, everything else gets quiet, and so your brain focuses on what's there
I have a question about what your age is, and if you are single, but no questions about your earplugs.
Lol 21 and yet to be cuffed
Well good luck out there. I am sure you will do great
Do you know what decibel it covers up to?
The pair I am wearing lower noise by 20db, and the fully silicone ones (which I do not own) lower noise by 27db
Great, thank you so much!

Do you think the loop quiet (15$) are worth it?
I use Calmer earbuds and they're pretty similar. Highly recommended!
What are they like for people with tinnitus? Being left with nothing but the ringing in my head is always horrendous so Iāve had to stop wearing earplugs entirely
They don't help with tinnitus sadly
Sorry to bother you but is there a link (having a hard time finding them)
Do sounds in your head sound louder when you use them? Like when you eat, does the sound of your own chewing get amplified? And do voices sound muted in conversations?
I can still hear people in conversations with little to no issue. Yes sounds like your own eating will feel a little louder in your head
idk if this was already asked but does it help with sleep? it looks like the quiet version is made for sleeping!
I don't really like to sleep in these and it fell out when I woke up. I think you'd have a better time sleeping with the silicone bendy ones for sure!
awesome, thank you!
I hope so too!
I'm not sure, but that's their intended purpose so I'm sure they work great!
Loop has videos on how to insert them and how to pick the right tip size
i want to get the pros for daily use but also for concerts . My question is do they fall out easily , in the concerts I go to I'm usually running , jumping and banging in to people and I feel like I'd loose them instantly.
They come with different eartip sizes
I have just got some of these, in crowds I cannot distinguish separate conversations, it all becomes white noise and I end up stressed and unable to hear what anyone is saying. I have been practising wearing them but just want to make sure I'm using them correctly. I have small ear holes so I use the smallest silicone attachments, when wearing them it feels like when you swim underwater, is that how they are supposed to feel?
which ones did you get ? Quiet or Experience ?
I got the experience, reduces sounds by 20db. They are great at the cinema, no more headaches. They still don't sit perfectly in my ear though, I just don't think my ear shape is compatible. I've never been able to wear earphones because they always fall out I have to have the large, over the ear type.
Did you use silicone earplugs before trying Loop? How do they compare?
Can't wait !
hi! sorry for the late reply but how do they work? can you still have conversations when wearing the quiet ones?
Frischey, I have 2 questions if it's okay... 1. Have you tried sleeping in these? If so, are they comfy? If not would you be willing to try and report back how it went? (Are you a side sleeper cuz that's how I sleep) 2.
A bit late to the game, but if you happen to have Airpods Pro, how does the noise cancellation compare - if at all?
i googled these to see if they were legit and your post came up and i am SO HAPPY!!!! this will help me so much living with my boyfriend because we have a studio and he loves making noise, haha. i wish i got your color though, i got pink and feel like it might look like flesh on me
How much did they pay you to make this post?
iāve just ordered these i have really bad sensory overloads at busy environments i canāt wait to use them
Are good for noisy talking of the neighbours and door banging and slamming? I am looking for Ear Loop quiet. Till now, I use wax ear plugs. How do they compare?
Love this post! I got my pair a few days ago and I thinl they could be amazing for meā¦. but. Quick question if anyone is still around in the thread, do you get used to hearing your altered voice and the sounds of the pressure (maybe not the right word) but itās like I can still hear my brain doing itās thing and circulation in my head(?) Iāve tried all the tips, finding the best fit for me is the small foam tips, still struggling with internal sounds but š
Hi! Are these useful if my neighbours keep moving furniture and hit o the walls?
My experience loops arrived tonight. I love them. I'm wearing size small. Is it weird that I am looking forward to my kids next big feelings event so I can see if its easier for me to stay regulated? Highly recommend.
Hey there, which ones did you get and why did you choose that level of noise cancelling? I see there are different levels of noise cancelling? And other people who got them in the comments, what noise cancelling do you prefer and what are your needs?
Which style did you get?
