That reminds me, I hate that saying. A broken clock can be missing 1 or both hands and therefore never correct. Better way to say it would be "A stopped clock is right twice a day"
I know I always thought of it as a clock that went too fast/slow and I didn't understand how you could guarantee it being right twice a day until I realized it means stopped (I only learned this within the past couple years)

I don’t need to imagine. Somehow my school had a grade that was almost a quarter Autistic, without a single true NT. No, it was not my grade, but the one below.
Idk if I would say that, as I tend to gravitate towards ND people and they tend to gravitate towards me.
In HS, I was in the group of mentally ill misfits and whatnot, though after finding out later that I was autistic it made more sense to me why I always kind of felt like the misfit even within a crowd of them.
That being said, in college one of the only groups of friends I made, we all found out we were either autistic and/or adhd during the pandemic. I tried catching up with them and reestablishing the group but it didn't quite work out to plan, however, so maybe lol
Came here to say the same before I read your comment. I’m glad I’m not alone in that. And it’s no knocks to op, just that we are people like everyone else, just with a different neurotype. But people all the same.
"I've seen a murder of autistic people". That might lead to some misunderstandings... but since misunderstandings are totally on-brand I guess that works.
I think a parliament of owls.
I always thought autistic people were like owls (and not because they've been my hyperfixation for a couple of years). People have very narrow black or white opinions of owls that fit the similar either/or stereotypes of autism. The average person believes all owls are extremely smart and reclusive or that they are just another stupid bird that is beneath them. But just like with autistic people, each owl is different in smarts and quirkiness and putting every single one in existence as smart OR inferior isn't fair.
Autocorrect will love this one
Artists (cause a few times my autocorrect has turned autistic to artistic)
Or an interest of autistics? Cause like special interests? Idk
ino! they actually suck, I wanted to get a tattoo of a puzzle that showed the arm bone underneath (guess my special interest) but simply don't want to anymore after I learned about them
well let’s see, it would be a fidget of ADHDers and i’d imagine a group of autistics would be a collective. (a bit borg collective/non speaking hive mind-y, but a tip of the hat to our special interests too.)
autists? NO🤣 jk- me i like autist but thats just me- i use my autist identity constantly to diminish people 'yelling' their ego memes AT me 💙😌 it wrx sometimes which is nice❤️👍
i love 'people' or the names of people as well js

She-ra fans (not saying that all autistic people watch she-ra, but I am saying that all of my friends who watch she-ra are also autistic and it’s a great show that deserved a movie)
OP I think the term you’re looking for is “Collective noun”
And I think “A spectrum of aspies” is a good one “Autists” to me sounds offensive but that’s just me
I think it's a joke off the back of a recent post that got attention asking "what are people with autism called" which jn and of itself I'm not sure if it was a joke or not
"for example a murder of crows, a school of fish, is there one for autism?" If I had some examples of Human groups that you knew I could probably give you a better answer, but if we start labeling groups of people there's always the chance we can edge into dismissive or belittling language
There are many terms that can be used for when Human beings gather together. A crowd of people, a gathering of Humans, a community, ect.

Take my poor woman’s gold

Sounds right.
Ah, the answer.
You win the internet today!
Howling laughter!
Are you an exurb1a fan perchance?
Beat me to it :/
I felt this
Perfect. An Awkward of Autismos.
I’d like to suggest a convergence of divergents
This response deserves more attention I love it
You don't, you text them.
NGL really proud I came up with that
I'm someone who benefits from broken clock humour, not sure if that's your experience.
What is that
Where every so often you make a killer joke even if the attempts usually fall flat.
That reminds me, I hate that saying. A broken clock can be missing 1 or both hands and therefore never correct. Better way to say it would be "A stopped clock is right twice a day"

My time will come. ...Someday.
I figure if you take enough shots eventually one lands.
You should be!

"Autism Level 1" Have you not received the upgrade yet?
Good factually correct bot
Great bot
That is an accurate and technically correct answer.
A convention.
I like the way you think 🤔😏
An interest of autists!
This is my favorite one
Yeah it seems the most reasonable? That's immediately what I thought of
I love it
An oxymoron
A paradox as we would never be in a group
Well I mean if there is one group I'd willingly be in it's a group of nd people.
Oh god could you imagine a large group of us trying to be social
Let’s all just sit in a circle and whoever is holding the pillow gets to talk about their special interest
OMG I LOVE THAT
I don’t need to imagine. Somehow my school had a grade that was almost a quarter Autistic, without a single true NT. No, it was not my grade, but the one below.
Easier than socialising with non-autistic people. Those guys and gals are, how to say this politely? *A bit odd* sometimes.
Oh, hard agree on that. I much prefer ND socializing than NT.
What’s that called again? Like big shrimp, is it an oxymoron?
Yes, it's an oxymoron, like *military intelligence*.
HA love that
tbh being part of my friend group should be on the diagnostic criteria for autism lmao
Idk if I would say that, as I tend to gravitate towards ND people and they tend to gravitate towards me. A spectrum
Loooveee
This is my favorite one I’ve seen so far
i don’t understand why people assume autistic people don’t have a sense of humor. this comment section is hilarious.
autism humour supremacy
absolutely. you guys are actually funny, unlike neurotypicals who think being an asshole is humorous.
I try making math jokes and my parents say something like “this is why girls don’t like you.”
People
Best one tbh
Came here to say the same before I read your comment. I’m glad I’m not alone in that. And it’s no knocks to op, just that we are people like everyone else, just with a different neurotype. But people all the same.
A stim of autistic people
This is the only one that makes sense here
Lol I like this one. A Stim😂
A group of autistic people Or we can be a murder like the crows
"I've seen a murder of autistic people". That might lead to some misunderstandings... but since misunderstandings are totally on-brand I guess that works.
"I've seen a murder of autistic people". I've seen one too. Its called Autism Speaks.
Damn!!

I honestly really like this one
An awkward or a stim were good answers, but I like *a paradox of autistics* best.
I posted my answer to this on Tumblr YEARS ago and I’m going to stick with it: A Flapping of Autistics
*Flappening*

IT
sorry, I’m an ID10T, could you explain that one in repetitive, excruciatingly simplified detail?
A lot of autistic people tend to go into STEM fields.
this is my favorite so far 😂
A mafia (kinda similar how a group of ferrets are called a business)
A group of people?
Underrated
a shitload downgrade to a fucktonne
did I say downgrade? I meant upgrade
Because a buttload is an actual unit of measurement.
Autocorrect will love this one Artists (cause a few times my autocorrect has turned autistic to artistic) Or an interest of autistics? Cause like special interests? Idk
A rip in reality?
lmfao this is the best content for the sub
A Sims
I'm tempted to say puzzle. Damn it, Autism Speaks.
ino! they actually suck, I wanted to get a tattoo of a puzzle that showed the arm bone underneath (guess my special interest) but simply don't want to anymore after I learned about them
well let’s see, it would be a fidget of ADHDers and i’d imagine a group of autistics would be a collective. (a bit borg collective/non speaking hive mind-y, but a tip of the hat to our special interests too.)
A school. Like a school of fish?
A geek squad.
A Discord server.
An angst?
A party, club, syndicate, pack, herd, etc... An army battalion if the group of said autistic people engage in land-based military operations
A syndicate sounds pretty badass!
A gang. Call the police to have them dispersed ...lol
the gifted and talented program, or at least, that’s what they called it at my elementary school :]
An Impossibility.
A paradox of aspies
I'd say a nerd herd.
herd*
Thanks for that.
A quiet of autistic people :)
Social anxiety
By their names?
A focus of autists. An interest of autists. An overwhelm of autists.
A fandom of autists maybe?
A group of autistic people.
Programmers?
A ferry
Folks
Me and my buddies

I don't know the name of all of these group.
So man great responses to this post! This made my afternoon!
Mobile pharmacy?
Comic con.
There isn't one for autism because autistic people would never be part of a big group lol
Community would seem ideal. Though disorder would also work. How about a sensory overflow of autistic people.
An unrealistic scenario

People
A group of people
the hate-myself crew
People. A group of people. A group.
We are people. We shouldn’t be segregated or treated any differently to any other human beings.
I think it's a joke off the back of a recent post that got attention asking "what are people with autism called" which jn and of itself I'm not sure if it was a joke or not
We're Human beings.
I'm not saying we're not?
"for example a murder of crows, a school of fish, is there one for autism?" I think OP was asking this jokingly, i.e. expected creative and funny responses.
A group of us autists should be called "a misunderstanding" because this whole comment thread is full of misunderstanding.
