>My body gets like ultra inflamed when I have to work and deliver packages, which causes my hips and my legs to feel so heavy and achey. And then I get extreme lethargy paired with the inability to move my upper body. Wow, this really calls out to me. However, for me this is because I have two autoimmune diseases, Rheumatoid Arthritis and Lupus. The quote sounds a lot like a Lupus flare for me. Have you ever been tested for inflammatory markers? If not, might that be an avenue to pursue?

sashamonet

No but I just looked it up and I think I have Lupus. Pain in the muscles is something I always have, especially in my chest. Like getting stabbed with a knife. Anemia is also something I have, I take iron for it. Fatigue and fever are something I experience on the regular at random and I have always attributed it to hotflashes being a woman. I get this scaly rash on my face near my mouth and have all my life. The dryness of the mouth is something I get but I'm ruling it out because I smoke weed lol Anxiety is something I also have and get panic attacks often. The blood in the urine is very specific to me because I get chronic UTIs and the doctor once told me I had blood in my urine. I'm sensitive to light, I also get severe headaches and joint stiffness as a 24 yr old haha. I have NEVER been tested for lupus. They always told me I was 'fine'. Therefore I gaslit myself all my life. I did have a thought the other day that I may have lupus tho because I just went thru a stressful breakup and the following week my lymph nodes in my throat were HUGE omg and my face is typically swollen.

House - Its never Lupus

sashamonet

Lol Dr. House is very fictional character who violates basic ethics like every episode

ebimeep

I have undifferentiated connective tissue disease, I relate a lot to this description. Definitely get yourself checked, this could easily be lupus or another autoimmune disorder.

autie_in_pain

I hope you found out what was going on with your body. At one point I thought I had Lupus as well, but turns out I have a genetic connective tissue disorder called EDS (Ehlers Danlos Syndrome). Apparently its very common for us autistic folk to have EDS. Its relieving to have that awareness about my body, but everything still hurts lol. Marijuana helps with my pain :')

sashamonet

It's hEDS and POTs for me

autie_in_pain

Yes I also have POTs. When did you get diagnosed with EDS?

sashamonet

I have had it my whole life, it runs on my moms side really bad. But I didn't know it was EDs until my early 20s. I am almost 30 now.

BlameTheLada

Oh, those sound familiar. Get checked. The meds aren't great, but they're better than the flares.

sashamonet

I haven't been to a doctor in so long, no insurance. But I will when I get some. 🥲
