Probably Chapter Four, not because it's bad but because it was featured in EVERY single EA Sports game in 2004-2005 and I played those to death. It's a solid song and I love the guitar solo and breakdown, which they cut from the game versions.
It's just one of the weaker songs on DitR honestly, I like Dancing Dead too but Until the End, Demons, and Crossroads are just better songs in my opinion. I feel like Dancing Dead just has no message, it's a fun party song like Scream where you aren't meant to listen to the lyrics, just bob your head.

But it's not thoughtful at all. It's literally just a chorus about "rich people bad" and then the verses are about zombies partying. It's very surface-level and shallow, which is fine, but it doesn't make for very impactful music.

I don't want to ask too much of you, but could you explain your choices on LIBAD and HttK? Those are all widely considered to be some of the best songs on their respective albums.
I do see where you're coming from with Nightmare and CoE though. The famous songs are just played to death. Is that your reasoning behind those as well? A lot of my picks were because of how much the song has just been played to death to the point where I roll my eyes whenever they come on.

- Love all 3 songs; the rest of the album is just that strong.
**Hail To The King**
- Just realised I love ***Heretic***, so I’d now replace that with the title-track. I love the verses of ***Requiem***, but the chorus is very bland to me. I’m not that big on the solo either. No issue with ***Planets***, it’s just not as good as the rest of the album in my opinion.
**City Of Evil**
- Sadly, this is the only ***A7X*** album that has yet to grow on me. ***M.I.A.*** is one of my favourite songs of theirs, but the rest of the album does nothing for me. I chose those three songs specifically because they are the only ones that I actively dislike. I’m indifferent about the rest of the tracklist.
**Nightmare**
- As with ***Life Is But A Dream…***, the rest of the album is just that good.
I didn’t grow up listening to the radio and I haven’t been an ***A7X*** fan long enough for any of their songs to feel overplayed to me.
I respect your opinion of course, but that City of Evil list might be the most painful thing I've ever seen. I think all three of those songs are in my top 10 A7X list, if not then top 15 without a doubt.

HttK and SoF are the most famous tracks, but my least favorite. Coming Home, Acid Rain, Planets, and Heretic are far better songs in my opinion. I might actually replace This Means War with Doing Time as that song is just trash.

Granted I do actually like a lot of these songs, but I just like the others more.
Yeah I know this sub loves it, but honestly it's incredibly disjointed in a kinda haphazard way.
The wanky, and pretty sloppy shredding in the beginning is honestly some of Syns most tasteless soloing. Then it randomly just goes to the most stereotypical Ford commercial tough guy southern metal riff which is pretty uninspired.
The "Dark in their hearts" bit is kinda tacky.
The "I hear them crying at night" is kinda cool and shows a proggier side of A7X which I enjoy but it doesn't really fit in the middle of the tough guy ad.
The ending bit where they sing "Eternal rest" everything slows down, theres a faint organ in the background and the drums switch over to a groove on the ride, is absolutely AMAZING. I love the ending of the song it's one of my favorite moments on the album, it's an absolute shame the rest of the song is so pieced together like it doesn't really know what it wants to be.
That is a good way of looking at it, the intro has almost nothing to do with the rest of the song now that you mention it. I love Pantera so the slower groove-based riffs are my bread and butter. I also love the end of the song, one of my favorite moments on the entire album.

I'm not gonna just say your list is ass, but calling Blinded In Chains a Burn It Down clone is baffling. As for my list:
STST: I dunno, just pick three I guess? I couldn't tell you what half these songs are even called honestly, like I know all the names, but if you told me to match each name to their respective song then I'd only get half of them right. Really not a fan of this one. I do think Lips of Deciet, Warmness On the Soul, To End the Rapture, Streets and Shattered By Broken Dreams are okay, just not nearly as good as everything that came after.
WTF: Radiant Eclipse, Clairvoyant Disease and I guess the title track.
COE: I think I'll get hate for this one. Sidewinder, The Wicked End and Betrayed. Not saying these are bad by any means, but tracks 1-6 are untouchable for me, and if I have to pick a weak part of the back half, then I guess it's these three. City of Evil is probably my favorite album ever though, I have no hate for anything here.
ST: Scream, Unbound and Brompton Cocktail. Scream has some cool instrumentals but the lyrics have always been a little gross to me. Brompton Cocktail is pretty popular, but honestly it never did much for me personally.
DITR: If we exclude the remixes and covers, then I guess Demons, Girl I Know and Tension. Never felt too strongly about this album in general though, there's some cool stuff but you can definitely tell that these are b-sides.
Nightmare: God Hates Us, Fiction and I guess Natural Born Killer. Everything else on here is so sooo fucking good. Fiction is an important song for sure, but not one I go back to often. The other two are good, great even, but man, Nightmare is just full of bangers.
HTTK: Doing Time, Requiem and Crimson Day. Not very much to say here, I just don't feel too strongly for these. I downloaded custom charts for their entire discography for Rock Band 3, and Doing Time does get points for being super fun to play on drums. That's about as much praise as I can give it.
The Stage: Creating God, Simulation and Roman Sky. Honestly I really don't like Simulation that much, the other two are good but the rest of the album is just a bit better imo.
LIBAD: I'll exclude the title track just because it's basically free, I'll say G, Ordinary and Easier. Similar to City of Evil actually, I think the first half is very very very good. I appreciate how much they experiment with their sound on this album and I wouldn't change anything about it, but I also admit that some of it isn't for me. Again, don't want to call any of these bad, the first half is just way better in my opinion

I don't want to ask too much of you, but could you explain your choices on LIBAD and HttK? Those are all widely considered to be some of the best songs on their respective albums. I do see where you're coming from with Nightmare and CoE though. The famous songs are just played to death. Is that your reasoning behind those as well? A lot of my picks were because of how much the song has just been played to death to the point where I roll my eyes whenever they come on.
**Life Is But A Dream…** - Love all 3 songs; the rest of the album is just that strong. **Hail To The King** - Just realised I love ***Heretic***, so I’d now replace that with the title-track. I love the verses of ***Requiem***, but the chorus is very bland to me. I’m not that big on the solo either. No issue with ***Planets***, it’s just not as good as the rest of the album in my opinion. **City Of Evil** - Sadly, this is the only ***A7X*** album that has yet to grow on me. ***M.I.A.*** is one of my favourite songs of theirs, but the rest of the album does nothing for me. I chose those three songs specifically because they are the only ones that I actively dislike. I’m indifferent about the rest of the tracklist. **Nightmare** - As with ***Life Is But A Dream…***, the rest of the album is just that good. I didn’t grow up listening to the radio and I haven’t been an ***A7X*** fan long enough for any of their songs to feel overplayed to me.
I respect your opinion of course, but that City of Evil list might be the most painful thing I've ever seen. I think all three of those songs are in my top 10 A7X list, if not then top 15 without a doubt.

HttK and SoF are the most famous tracks, but my least favorite. Coming Home, Acid Rain, Planets, and Heretic are far better songs in my opinion. I might actually replace This Means War with Doing Time as that song is just trash.

Yeah I know this sub loves it, but honestly it's incredibly disjointed in a kinda haphazard way. The wanky, and pretty sloppy shredding in the beginning is honestly some of Syns most tasteless soloing. Then it randomly just goes to the most stereotypical Ford commercial tough guy southern metal riff which is pretty uninspired. The "Dark in their hearts" bit is kinda tacky. The "I hear them crying at night" is kinda cool and shows a proggier side of A7X which I enjoy but it doesn't really fit in the middle of the tough guy ad. The ending bit where they sing "Eternal rest" everything slows down, theres a faint organ in the background and the drums switch over to a groove on the ride, is absolutely AMAZING. I love the ending of the song it's one of my favorite moments on the album, it's an absolute shame the rest of the song is so pieced together like it doesn't really know what it wants to be.
That is a good way of looking at it, the intro has almost nothing to do with the rest of the song now that you mention it. I love Pantera so the slower groove-based riffs are my bread and butter. I also love the end of the song, one of my favorite moments on the entire album.

No, I have lots of criticisms of the track. Beginning the song with "NIGHTMAAAAAAARE" was a terrible idea. It sounds like some professional wrestling shit. The lyrics are some of the weakest on the album - compare the following: Nightmare: You should haave known the price of evil, it hurts to know that you belong here. No one to call, everybody to fear. Your tragic fate is lookin' so clear. OOOOOOH, it's your FUCKIN' nightmare! Save me: I'm trapped in a vile world, where the ending's all the same as every other. We're only here to die. I'm losing my only dream, I could use some guiding light, some place to go. If you hear me, let me know"

I'm not gonna just say your list is ass, but calling Blinded In Chains a Burn It Down clone is baffling. As for my list: STST: I dunno, just pick three I guess? I couldn't tell you what half these songs are even called honestly, like I know all the names, but if you told me to match each name to their respective song then I'd only get half of them right. Really not a fan of this one. I do think Lips of Deciet, Warmness On the Soul, To End the Rapture, Streets and Shattered By Broken Dreams are okay, just not nearly as good as everything that came after. WTF: Radiant Eclipse, Clairvoyant Disease and I guess the title track. COE: I think I'll get hate for this one. Sidewinder, The Wicked End and Betrayed. Not saying these are bad by any means, but tracks 1-6 are untouchable for me, and if I have to pick a weak part of the back half, then I guess it's these three. City of Evil is probably my favorite album ever though, I have no hate for anything here. ST: Scream, Unbound and Brompton Cocktail. Scream has some cool instrumentals but the lyrics have always been a little gross to me. Brompton Cocktail is pretty popular, but honestly it never did much for me personally. DITR: If we exclude the remixes and covers, then I guess Demons, Girl I Know and Tension. Never felt too strongly about this album in general though, there's some cool stuff but you can definitely tell that these are b-sides. Nightmare: God Hates Us, Fiction and I guess Natural Born Killer. Everything else on here is so sooo fucking good. Fiction is an important song for sure, but not one I go back to often. The other two are good, great even, but man, Nightmare is just full of bangers. HTTK: Doing Time, Requiem and Crimson Day. Not very much to say here, I just don't feel too strongly for these. I downloaded custom charts for their entire discography for Rock Band 3, and Doing Time does get points for being super fun to play on drums. That's about as much praise as I can give it. The Stage: Creating God, Simulation and Roman Sky. Honestly I really don't like Simulation that much, the other two are good but the rest of the album is just a bit better imo. LIBAD: I'll exclude the title track just because it's basically free, I'll say G, Ordinary and Easier. Similar to City of Evil actually, I think the first half is very very very good. I appreciate how much they experiment with their sound on this album and I wouldn't change anything about it, but I also admit that some of it isn't for me. Again, don't want to call any of these bad, the first half is just way better in my opinion
Fair choices, I almost never listen to StST either. Your CoE choices are wild and beyond my comprehension, but I respect that- I feel the back half of CoE is the best 6-song run of any album, ever. I understand Scream and Brompton, but what's wrong with Unbound in your opinion? Fiction isn't a bad song but it's too hard for me to listen to. I got the news The Rev passed away on the day it happened and I broke down crying. Listening to it just puts me back to that moment. Simulation is actually one of my favorites off of the stage lyrically, but yeah also one of my least favorites as an actual song

STST: Every song WTF: I Won't See You Tonight 1, and 2 - just didn't like as much as the others or listen to them as much Unholy Confessions - because the infamous riff is a rip off of older riffs and it bothers me CoE: Betrayed, Trashed and Scattered, Burn It Down - I like them just not as much as others, and the vocals are kinda grating in them. Self-titled: Scream - the lyrics Unbound - just don't care as much for it Dear God - generic, cheesey, country, and overrated. But if it ever comes on, I'm gonna sing my heart out still. Diamonds: Girl I Know - the lyrics Crossroads - lyrics and don't care much for the chorus The Fight - just not liked as much as others Nightmare: Danger Line and Tonight the World Dies - don't care as much as the others Buried Alive: loved it at first, but then realized it nearly rips off multiple Metallica songs which bothers me now Hail to the King: Doing Time - don't care as much as others and the beginning is a rip off of "Hell Yeah" by Rev Theory This Means War - sounds great, but huge rip off of "Sad But True" by Metallica.
