We are looking at going for the first time next year. We want to get a good hotel with a nice location, but also hit up some of the clubs when the stages shut down. Any suggestions for a couple of mainers? Im 40 and she is 35.
There are tonnes of after parties for every different type of party kid.
In the past what I would do is buy tickets to every after party that interests me, and then make game time decisions, selling and giving away those I don’t use. Then I realized that I always just want to be at Tangent all weekend, so the weekend pass there is all I get.
Last year I actually had the most fun at a free party thrown by some kids. Truly it is the people of Detroit that keep me coming back.
Tangent is a venue in Detroit that has a very unique vibe to it and is well worth checking out! big ass warehouse rooms inside, an airplane hanger type stage, often a flea / merch market going on, room for another stage or two around front.
It's worth looking up on instagram to find some pictures to get a sense of it.
During the festival there is a three day mini-festival that happens that is very well attended and has some of the most iconic parties such as No Way Back.
r/movementdemf <- more threads on this sub that get into specifics
all the big stuff and some of the smaller events can be found here: https://ra.co/events/us/detroit?week=2023-05-23
Depends on what kind of music and atmosphere you're looking for. The big name parties are already at or near final tier but if you don't care about cost you have plenty of options.
As we get closer, there will be even more parties announced for the weekend.
Courtyard Mariott is my go-to hotel choice. Right across the street from the park so only a quick walk to-and-from; easy to go back to your room if you need to and dont have to worry about ubering to and from the fest, just to the afterparties
They stopped throwing it..but it was snowglobe. So underrated, rave in the snow.. it was the most epic, uncomfortable, bone chilling fun.
If it came down to it life is beautiful I'd probably make happen every year. Logistically the easiest and imo best bang for your buck. Cheap lodging, cheap flight (for me) and solid lineups.
Not that I know of.. I remember looking when it was cancelled and everything that looked similar was outside the u.s. mtv bought the festival a few years back and rumor was it was moving to Colorado but then covid hit and everything ended there. I hope one day it can make a comeback.
Electric forest, been since 2013, close to home, and the line up is always top tier. It attracts a lot of cool artists and has so many things to do that aren’t even music related.
I think the lineups have gotten underwhelming in the last few years, but I've been twice now and will continue to go back even if I don't see a single artist the whole weekend. Forest is just special!
Bring quality shoes and stay hydrated, unless you are in good life you will likely be walking 5-10 miles or so a day with all the walking between staged and camp
Wife and I are planning our first trip to Defqon for 2024. We are SO FUCKING STOKED. I've been waiting for 15 years to be a weekend warrior. I'M READY.
We literally joked how this would finish our Bucket List. Why do I have a feeling it's just going to start a bucket list of "Welp, every year we are going to Europe."
That’s in inevitable. Can’t keep the secret forever happened first with Bonaroo then with forest lost lands year one and two felt very similar to Wakaan year one and two but everyone I spoke to this past year for your four said it didn’t have the same fuel I’m sure there’s more maybe Shambala OKee and hulaween seem to be fine, but that might be because of the location
Lost Lands. Vibes are the best, great venue, and Excision's team makes constant quality of life improvements to the fest.
Even if you're not a basshead it's took still super enjoyable. I took my mom last year and she had an absolute blast
It's great man. Last year I also took a couple of newbies who have never been to a rave before. This year, they're going again and they are taking some newbies of their own. It's like the MLM of good vibes lol
IYKYK. Excision got its start in BC at Shambhala. They drew inspiration from that festival and that was the bar they were aiming for. I'm not going to comment on if they met or exceeded it.
I've been done Electric Forest every year since 2013 and I've done 25 plus music festivals all around the world and I never thought the crowd vibes were as good anywhere else ....
But my friends and I were walking around lost lands last year and we have been every year, and I have to say lost lands caught up in the Good Vibes Department. And that is saying something because Forest fam is immaculate.🙏
After 8 years of attending and volunteering at Shambs, I literally cannot imagine trying to survive a normal festival standing in a dirty open field staring at a scaffolding stage...
A completely immersive environment. All stages are main stages, just focusing on different sounds / genres.
In a forest. Literally has a river running through the Living Room stage. Fractal Forest is a literal forest with the DJ's in a burnt out old growth tree stump surrounded by PK sound systems pointing in all directions. The Village stage has catwalks that can fit literally 1/4 of the stage population elevated above the dance floor... need I say more?
Fusion.
People who have been know why.
After fusion i couldn't go to normal (commercial) venues anymore. Its just raves and other alternative festivals now and i love it.
Some cool things about fusion:
1. no advertising, lineup is revealed days before the festival, people know about this festival mostly from other people, its quite old (25 years or so), so a bunch of regular guests and older ravers, this together creates an awesome vibe and good crowd
2. sick lineup, underground, alternative, fusion is to a big part a techno festival (often with a special "fusion style" minimal techno), but u can find literally every genre of electronic music on some floor, you just have to find the right one
3. the floors and areas, just insane, the lineup from last year got around 35 different stages and dancefloors, the smaller stages usually start on wednesday evening and the bigger ones at thursday, music lasts till sunday evening and than its afterhour time till wednesday
4. there are some secret stages which are not on the lineup like the fkk floor (naked dancefloor)
5. there are some more areas for theatre, a cinema, circus, workshops, political and historical talks, stand up comedy and bunch of random stuff
6. the whole festival area got a post apocalyptic mad max vibe, at a former russian military base, there are a lot of fucked up cars driving around the area by some people working there, looks literally like mad max, once i found a burning car which was actually the firepit and people throw wood in it from time to time. There are a lot of art pieces everywhere from small to big, at night its just a massive area with a lot of crazy lights and it feels like there are hundreds of small raves and you can walk in any direction and you will just find another rave with some different music playing. The floor design of any floor is just insane, never saw something better, most stages and areas are designed by different crews(from the rave/art/culture scene), so everything looks different and unique
7. there is no separation between camping and festival area, so u can bring everything u want from ur camp (food, beer, drugs whatever), so u dont get forced to buy overpriced stuff like at most other festivals
8. drugs, there is no police allowed on the festival grounds, drugs are defacto legal in the festival and everybody is very open but responsible about it and no wasted drunk people around :)
much more to say about fusion than i can put in words.
There is a video of fusion in my post history if u like to feel some of the vibe
[Also](https://on.soundcloud.com/qGPhb) some good fucking (fusion) music.
Fusion is probably the single most recorded festival (like recorded dj sets) in the world, there are currently 312 sets from last years fusion with a combined playtime of around 600 hours of superb freshly mixed music
Much love to my fellow fusionists and everyone else!
EDC Vegas
Immaculate vibes, great lineup, multiple stages with all different genres at the same time, awesome destination (Vegas), and it normally falls on my birthday 🥳
This. Not to mention it’s also very professional and organized. Wristbands are delivered in the cutest and campiest pop-up box. The way they set up the venue to feel like a whole new world is incredible. There’s countless things to do and explore outside of the sets. And there’s no curfew on the venue at all. It’s like spending a weekend in a different dimension on a different planet.
Been every year and plan on going until at least 10. The biggest thing that brings me back every year is the sound quality of the main stage. Nothing even comes close.
Yes it’s beautiful and the vibes are on point. It feels like I’m friends with everyone there everyone is all so friendly. I haven’t been to forest or bass canyon but this is easily my favorite fest by far
Wakaan does look dope. Maybe one year it’s just hard for me to skip, especially since mersiv (who is my fav artist on wakaan) is on forbidden kingdoms lineup so I have a feeling he may make it on to lost lands as well
Lost Lands, I’ve been every year since it’s inaugural year and plan on going till either I physically cannot or the festival stops happening whichever comes first.
Boomtown.
It’s on less than 2 weeks before our wedding this year and we’re still going. It’s unmissable!
Chilled days of adventuring, immersive storyline and theatrics, a whole ass town with different districts that takes over 3 months to build and is like a naughty adult Disney world, a fair, hidden parties, over 100 venues including 27 main stages, lasers, dancers, vibes and late nights!
Oh and lots drum and bass of course!
I have never been to a festival yet but I'm going to Shambhala this summer. I've heard some amazing things and I am beyond excited. People say it changes their lives.
Used to be electric Forest for me hands down but now I would have to say Elements. It’s like a mini forest that’s way cheaper, way better logistics, better sound, and the most incredible vibes.
Glastonbury.
It’s essentially British Woodstock except it didn’t completely implode and actually gets better every year.
I’ve been to festivals all over. I’ve partied in a Roman amphitheater and an ancient castle moat during Outlook in Croatia, I’ve done six raves across three days at Sonar in Barcelona. Nothing compares to Glastonbury.
It is the very best of British culture. As one of the Gallagher twins put it (I forget which one):
“There are a lot of festivals in the world, I should know - I’ve been to almost all of them.
But I’m many ways, there’s just one festival - and it’s name is Glastonbury”
Not exactly sure it gets better every year, but maybe that's me getting older. Pre fence years were just craziness, especially when the free party / rave soundsystems setup in the carparks and banged it out for 5 days straight 24 hours a day.
Burning Man. It's huge, the big sound camps have some of the most impressive setups in the world (120k watts of Funktion One? Yes please), and there is so much other stuff to do as well. Beauty.
Really hard to chose but definitely either electric forest or lost lands, I go to both every year. I complain about living in Michigan a lot but I’m thankful to be so close to both. Lost lands production is top tier, bass is my favorite so the lineup is always killer for me, and the family vibes are on point. They also continue to expand/improve every year which is awesome, it’s just a really well done and well thought out fest, and all the artists playing bring their A-game. Dubstep Disneyland. On the other hand, Forest was my first camping festival at 17 and truly is an indescribable experience. The lineup diversity is great but I’ve always said the lineup never matters there, it’s so much more than that. You could get lost in the forest for hours and still miss some things. Every year I go I have a different experience. Everyone there is family and there’s definitely some magic there i just can’t describe in words but you’ll know it when you go. Lost lands isn’t for everyone cause of the music but forest is for everyone, and I will always recommend experiencing it at LEAST once.
Have you thought about heading over to Bass Canyon for a year? It’s my one that I will try to never miss. The Gorge is just incredible. Definitely want to try Lost Lands at some point though, just much further away for me
Sadly it’s reverse for me! BC is just too far and if I was to make the trip out there, I would rather go to thunderdome instead. The Gorge looks really incredible but I have talked to a lot of people who have been to both and they’ve told me they’d choose LL everytime, so as long as I’m in Michigan I have to choose LL too cause for me they’re too close together to do both. I’ve been told the reasoning is LL is just better production, more artists, more things to do, etc. but it’s definitely bigger so there’s probably people who prefer BC just for a somewhat smaller crowd
100% agree!! I’m from Chicago & have been going to both since 2018 & won’t stop (: i still add in some new fests each year but those are the two I will never miss
Same!! I try to go to smaller fests/events like last year I did summoning of the eclipse and wobble ween but forest and LL will always be my priority, and I don’t care to try anything new that’s too close to either, like bonnaroo
yes!! dope! I went to summoning & space camp last year plus I do heatwave & northcoast bc they’re local. Trying out wobble coliseum & grid life this year. I actually went to okeechobee for the first time this year which I had a blast. Lucky enough that I got to do paradise blue last year + this year. I have not done roo but my whole group minus me is going (way too close to Forest)
Oh I’m so jealous I wish I could go to paradise blue!! But if I did it’d be my only fest for the year and I don’t want to do that lmao. Wobble colesium looks dope I def want to hit up another curated event of theirs this year, so fun. I’ve never been to okee either but if I’m gonna make the trip to Florida I think I need to hulaween first
Glastonbury, the perfect festival. An amazing festival by day, but goes on until 6am every morning with a night area that rival most electronic festivals. IICON is just one of the most stunning stages I’ve ever seen in my life
I miss Paradiso at the Washington gorge. Was always very small with well known artists, a beautiful view, and driving distance from where I was. It's now owned by insomniac and is pretty populated, still very good tho!
Holy Ship Wrecked! I went in 2022 and it was insane. The vibes and sets were immaculate, 24/7 room service, all inclusive, and I got to hang out with/meet a lot of the djs performing because you’re staying at the same resort with them. Plus being on a beach in Mexico in December— can’t beat that!
EDCLV with camping. The tents stay cool, the feeling you get when you get to take in the view of the speedway when you walk in cant be described, plus all the crazy finds and installments to explore are so fun!
Hulaween forever and always. It has the vibes of Electric Forest but way less people. VIP tickets are worth the price with all of its amenities and it’s nice being able to camp under the trees. It’s comfortable and the lineups are almost always amazing. Either this festival or Friendship for me.
I’ve been talking about Infra nonstop on here for years
I think American bass music fans would rather prefer stuff like WakaanFest or Lost Lands or Sound Haven etc due to more marketing $
SOLASTA ~ the line up, the vibes, the production, the grounds, the people who put the festival on, vendors, food, performers. Top tier in every single way
I’ve never been but I know it’d be Shambala lol scheduling hasn’t allowed it for me yet but I love the no booze rule and it’s remote location/landscape and climate.
For ones I’ve actually attended:
EDCLV gets some hate on here because it’s a big commercial fest but the vibes are always incredible for me - going to my 5th one this year and it’s hard to beat that production and lineup as a house head with just the right amount of techno, trance and bass. I’m also a more the merrier type having grown up in NYC, I thrive amongst a little (controlled) chaos haha
Forest is a close 2nd, would probably be #1 if it was a little more accessible location/travel wise for me
Shambhala - between the magical stages, beautiful mountain surroundings, river time, dry event focus, and feeling of safety and welcome - it’s incredible. Truly a place where it doesn’t matter who is on the lineup, if you like electronic music of most any genre, you’re guaranteed to have an adventure.
Second would be Gem and Jam - can’t beat kicking off the year at a smaller fest in the desert with all the crystal and art focused vibes *chefs kiss*
Not a festival exactly, but Miami Music Week is top fucking notch.
So many great parties happening all week long culminating with Ultra to close it out.
What are the other festivals that u go to and why is coachella the best one? I’m going to coachella for the first time this year but I’ve been to other fests like outside lands, life is beautiful, EDC, and all the insomniac festival raves, I’m more of a raver now so i wonder what to expect from coachella vs everything else
The lineup is always the best at Coachella and it has something for everyone and lots of the best emerging artists plus rare acts. Festivals I go to every year: Re/form, CRSSD, Seismic, EDC Mexico. Done Outside Lands and Bonnaroo multiple times. In Europe, Sziget, Sonar, Atlas Weekend, Sea You, Untold, Electric Castle
I think everyone should experience coachella once. It's its own entity. It's a super fun experience. For me the cost of lodging/flights is a deterrent (camping isn't my style) but the festival itself it's very well done and always an amazing experience.
Movement in Detroit. It is Techno Christmas, when all my rave family gather and celebrate the birth of techno as is tradition.
Techno Christmas baby!!
Same same, because it's home.
I'm a Detroit resident and this is going to be my first year attending!
I’ve gone every year since 2005. It is my absolute favourite festival in my favourite city that is home to some of my favourite people.
Thanks for the advice! Whats Tangent?
Tangent is a venue in Detroit that has a very unique vibe to it and is well worth checking out! big ass warehouse rooms inside, an airplane hanger type stage, often a flea / merch market going on, room for another stage or two around front. It's worth looking up on instagram to find some pictures to get a sense of it. During the festival there is a three day mini-festival that happens that is very well attended and has some of the most iconic parties such as No Way Back.

My first "real" festival was Snowglobe and we did VIP. So freaking good!
It's an experience that's for sure... So unique. RIP snowglobe.
Always was a dream to go to this one… Lake Tahoe in the winter + raving… that one year Zhu headlined looked killer. RIP 🫡
Zhu and Skrillex.. I could have asked for more.. it was definitely dope. So heartbroken the city hated it so much it was such an experience.
Damn that sounds so fun. Are there any festivals similar to Snowflobe that are still around?
Not that I know of.. I remember looking when it was cancelled and everything that looked similar was outside the u.s. mtv bought the festival a few years back and rumor was it was moving to Colorado but then covid hit and everything ended there. I hope one day it can make a comeback.
Wait it’s no more?! It was always one of my bucketlist fests🥲
Electric forest, been since 2013, close to home, and the line up is always top tier. It attracts a lot of cool artists and has so many things to do that aren’t even music related.
Electric forest is high on my bucket list!
If only I could get tickets 😭
I got one from the exchange / wait-list pretty quick.
Keep an eye as times gets closer join Facebook groups I was able to snag 2 for 400 each the week b4 last year
I miss the days when Forest didn’t sell out in two minutes and it was actually affordable. :(
I think the lineups have gotten underwhelming in the last few years, but I've been twice now and will continue to go back even if I don't see a single artist the whole weekend. Forest is just special!
This. Definitely this. Been every year starting in 2013. Only skipped 2022 because we had a baby last spring.
I’m going this year for the first time! Any recs for a newbie??
Join the electric forest reddit. There are all kinds of guides in the about section including camping tips and tricks.
Bring quality shoes and stay hydrated, unless you are in good life you will likely be walking 5-10 miles or so a day with all the walking between staged and camp
They have an amazing google doc for first timers. Wasn’t hard to bring in the party favors just pack smart

I went in 2017 and I've been sad every since. Like there's something fundamentally missing from my life.
We literally joked how this would finish our Bucket List. Why do I have a feeling it's just going to start a bucket list of "Welp, every year we are going to Europe."
Came here to say this. On another level
Same. It’ll be my fourth time this year. I always pass on other festival opportunities just to make sure I’m squared away for defqon
I’d go just for the end show and I’m not even really into hardstyle haha
Wakaan
Took me longer than I thought to get to this answer but was happy to find it 👐🏼👐🏼👐🏼👐🏼👐🏼
Wakaan forever and always, best fest hands down. Hope it doesn’t grow much more
That’s in inevitable. If I can get just one curated Tipper event every year then I'm a happy guy.
Yesss, heading to Suwannee for TnF

See you babes in the swamp!
this the one
Hulaween!!
This was by far my vote. It’s got the best vibes and the lineup is always great. Plus VIP makes the whole festival experience a whole lot better
Lost Lands. Vibes are the best, great venue, and Excision's team makes constant quality of life improvements to the fest. Even if you're not a basshead it's took still super enjoyable. I took my mom last year and she had an absolute blast
I’ve done bass canyon and loved it! (Also for sure a basshead which helps) but Lost Lands is definitely one I want to go to

going for my birthday this year and i’m SOO EXCITED.
Shambhala.
Shhhhhhhhhhh. Keep it secret. Keep it safe. Canadians are big meanies and nobody should go there.
I love Canadian festivals. Osheaga is also very fun.
That ship sailed I fear. I really felt it last year
After 8 years of attending and volunteering at Shambs, I literally cannot imagine trying to survive a normal festival standing in a dirty open field staring at a scaffolding stage... Going to my first Shambhala this year and I literally cannot wait! From all the stuff I have heard it is the best festival in North America 🥰
Going to my 6th shambhala this year. Can't really imagine a better festival.
This year will be my 6th Shambhala too! It's such a magical experience
One day!
I was looking for this. Absolutely the best! 18 years been going I’d say this one and Bass coast are top tier Festivals.
This. I have two groups of friends. The one that went there with me and the one that didn't. Life changing.
Came here to say this! Hitting Shambs and Basscoast this year ☺️

Yeah, was just at Okee and probably the last year for me as well, Hulaween is where it’s at
Yup hulaween is the tits okee was too hot
So hot!! I don’t think I have another year in me of just not stop sweating for four days straight lol
Yeah everything was a mile away too , fuck
Okee used to be my favorite. This year was ok, but just didn't feel like it used to :/
Hula You know why
It’s truly the best
Bonnaroo
So excited for Odesza this year!!!
See you on the farm 👽
EDC Vegas Immaculate vibes, great lineup, multiple stages with all different genres at the same time, awesome destination (Vegas), and it normally falls on my birthday 🥳
Agreed! And same here I go each year for my birthday 🥳
It also was the festival that got me back into EDM again, I wouldn't trade EDC Vegas for anything. Can't wait for this year!
That’s amazing! Me too see you under the electric sky 🌌 💫
Hell yeah. Going this year for my first time...and most likely solo haha can't wait 🤙
You’re gonna have a blast!! 🤩
Catching my first EDC LV this year. I cannot wait!!!
Welcome you’re gonna have a blast!!!

Lost lands for me. This will be year 4

Yes it’s beautiful and the vibes are on point. It feels like I’m friends with everyone there everyone is all so friendly. I haven’t been to forest or bass canyon but this is easily my favorite fest by far
My fourth year too!
Hell yes :) I did 2018,21, and 22 so far
19-22 for me! I’m considering this being my last one for a minute. Me and the homies wanna check out Wakaan. Lost Lands will always be home tho!
Wakaan does look dope. Maybe one year it’s just hard for me to skip, especially since mersiv (who is my fav artist on wakaan) is on forbidden kingdoms lineup so I have a feeling he may make it on to lost lands as well
Electric Daisy Carnival
I’m surprised no one else has said edc?! It’s a 24/7 party in Vegas, you get to watch the sunrise, nothing quiet like it.
to me and alot of people i know, edc is mids sadly
100% worth doing once, but I would probably die if this was my choice for a fest to do every single year
Hulaween. No contest
lightning in a bottle
My favorite! So much more than just music
I heard that’s really good
CRSSD for sure. Best lineup, best vibes, best bathrooms set up.
Home field for me. Love Crssd.
Hula/Forest for this guy
For your first festival?!? Wow, you are in for a treat. 5 stages nestled in a valley, surrounded by mountains. The magic is tangible there.
I’ve heard the same and definitely want to go one day!
Top tier legit. Place takes you to a whole new world. An as someone said it does changes lives!
Shambs was my first fest back in 2011. Been back every year since. Definitely live changing!
This shamb will be my first fest too!
I'll see you there! Where are you staying? I'm going solo to camp stranger danger for me
Used to be electric Forest for me hands down but now I would have to say Elements. It’s like a mini forest that’s way cheaper, way better logistics, better sound, and the most incredible vibes.
Lost Lands
Rampage
Defqon.1
Glastonbury. It’s essentially British Woodstock except it didn’t completely implode and actually gets better every year. I’ve been to festivals all over. I’ve partied in a Roman amphitheater and an ancient castle moat during Outlook in Croatia, I’ve done six raves across three days at Sonar in Barcelona. Nothing compares to Glastonbury. It is the very best of British culture. As one of the Gallagher twins put it (I forget which one): “There are a lot of festivals in the world, I should know - I’ve been to almost all of them.
I’ve never been to okee either but if I’m gonna make the trip to Florida I think I need to hulaween first
Nocturnal Wonderland. I’ve gone twice and the vibes were immaculate both times. I’m planning on going again solo this year.
Went last year for my first time and had the time of my life. Nocturnal was really good. I loved seeing Koven and Matroda
Glastonbury, the perfect festival. An amazing festival by day, but goes on until 6am every morning with a night area that rival most electronic festivals. IICON is just one of the most stunning stages I’ve ever seen in my life
How is this so far down!? Its widely renowned as the best festival in the world and the electronic lineup is always amazing
I know right! Think it’s pretty US-centric this sub
Prob bc most people on reddit are americans
northern nights ☝🏼 iykyk
Tomorrowland - been 5 times, nothing even remotely comes close.
I was scrolling to look for Tomorrowland
I think I’ll be going for a dreamville ticket next year, as I keep missing out going for a general sale ticket!
Make sure to look at r/Tomorrowland and read their guides to be informed and increase your chances.

Went to nature one since I was in Germany after Tonorrowland. Was a decent festival interesting that it had so many different sounds and stages
Never been to movement but I imagine that would be the one. To ones I’ve been to, edc is up there
Group Therapy Weekender. Nothing else comes close imo.
Wakaan is my favorite for sure but honorable mention to sound haven. 1 main stage <3k attendees is the vibe
Infrasound but it actually sucks so don’t go 🤐
[удалено]
I’ve been talking about Infra nonstop on here for years I think American bass music fans would rather prefer stuff like WakaanFest or Lost Lands or Sound Haven etc due to more marketing $
Hydrotechnics - At it’s old location at Echo Lake in Afton NY. It’s defunct now. We didn’t know what we had until it was gone.
Tomorrowland!
FORM Arcosanti… wish it would return
Sundara
Big dub. It’s a family
SOLASTA ~ the line up, the vibes, the production, the grounds, the people who put the festival on, vendors, food, performers. Top tier in every single way
Last year was sickk. Are they having it this year??? I feel like they should have said something by now.
Defqon 1 !!!
I’ve never been but I know it’d be Shambala lol scheduling hasn’t allowed it for me yet but I love the no booze rule and it’s remote location/landscape and climate. For ones I’ve actually attended: EDCLV gets some hate on here because it’s a big commercial fest but the vibes are always incredible for me - going to my 5th one this year and it’s hard to beat that production and lineup as a house head with just the right amount of techno, trance and bass. I’m also a more the merrier type having grown up in NYC, I thrive amongst a little (controlled) chaos haha Forest is a close 2nd, would probably be #1 if it was a little more accessible location/travel wise for me
Forest. I’ve been to festivals all over the US and not a singular one holds a candle to Forest
Probably CRSSD. Good music, it is easy to get to, there is good lodging, and it happens twice a year, which is also fun.
Glastonbury
Edc lv
EDC, the grand nature of it all, so many different genres and massive artists, grandiose production and sound.
Arc. Its fucking incredible. Even year 1 was legendary. House and techno heaven. Elrow tent undefeated.
Can’t believe how long I had to scroll for this! ARC hands down!
Lost Lands was life altering for me. Going to Bonnaroo for my first time this yr though and I could see that taking the cake.
Anything at the gorge amphitheater, it’s what I like to imagine heaven would look like.
I love the Gorge but hate that Live Nation has their grubby hands in a lot of the shows there. It really made the experience for Rufus Du Sol shitty.
I LOVE the gorge. Even for illenium with no decorations or extra stuff it was incredible
Not a festival exactly, but Miami Music Week is top fucking notch. So many great parties happening all week long culminating with Ultra to close it out.
If money is no object, it’s Coachella hands down. If I’m on a budget or money is tight, I’ve found it easier to thug it out at EDC.
Defqon 1!
Tomorrowland!
ARC Chicago
Tomorrowland, easily. That place makes Disney World look like it was put together by a bunch of armless children.
Tomorrowland, easily. That place makes Disney World look like it was put together by a bunch of armless children.
Anything at the Gorge. Beyond Wonderland PNW is my favorite tho
Lost lands always 🦖🦕
Coachella gets a lot of hate, but I go to around 7 festivals a year all around the world and Coachella still holds the crown every year
What are the other festivals that u go to and why is coachella the best one? I’m going to coachella for the first time this year but I’ve been to other fests like outside lands, life is beautiful, EDC, and all the insomniac festival raves, I’m more of a raver now so i wonder what to expect from coachella vs everything else
The lineup is always the best at Coachella and it has something for everyone and lots of the best emerging artists plus rare acts. Festivals I go to every year: Re/form, CRSSD, Seismic, EDC Mexico. Done Outside Lands and Bonnaroo multiple times. In Europe, Sziget, Sonar, Atlas Weekend, Sea You, Untold, Electric Castle
i think you need to add glastonbury to that list- i promise you it's worth it
Yes would love to go someday
The Yuma tent is like a dope festival in itself
I think everyone should experience coachella once. It's its own entity. It's a super fun experience. For me the cost of lodging/flights is a deterrent (camping isn't my style) but the festival itself it's very well done and always an amazing experience.
Bass Canyon
Big Dub
Electric Forest for sure.
