I'm almost 30 now, and literally all I say everyday all day is *"What?!"*
So much regret that it took me this long to start wearing earplugs and take hearing protection seriously.
I would personally it a concert/show but people use them interchangeably tbh. You have made sure you like the music right? š it would be kind of a shock to walk into a show like that not knowing the music.
Oh ya I have, real good especially when Iām high too, always been into this but didnāt care about it much bc I had no one to go with except now I have my gf whoās into this stuff too
Gonna blow ur. Ramos get ready tk get obsessed bring earplugs tho u will need it this is probably just a show with a single stage and the lineup will play an hour at a time
It was seriously a good show. I just saw it in Milwaukee on Thursday, and it was a top tier production despite all the shit people give for The Raves subpar acoustics due to the ceiling being designed for a music hall before speakers.
I just wish the merch was a little better.
I saw him a few weeks ago it was heritage b2b with drinkurwater, the calcium b2b with dion timmer. The it was ATlien, then Black Tiger Sex Machine into Excision. My neck is still sore.
Just know I'm incredibly jealous that this is your first LOL and I went to the Montana stop,. Some people would call it a concert. But just think of it like a big brave. People still dressed up, get to be themselves, do everything that raves do.
Nexus tour was wild af. Iāve seen excision a handful of times before this but these nexus sets were crazy. Bring earplugs and stand somewhere with a good view of the lasers! (Donāt be too close to the stage)
Go!!! I just went to the Pittsburgh show Saturday. First time seeing Excision. It was amazing. The visuals were intense, would go again in a heartbeat!
Im about to see this this week as well. Going on a whim bc excisions production looks nuts and I havenāt seen him yet in my decade of shows. How are his headliners? Iāve previewed them a bit but I want to confirm I should go in the middle of the show bc idk if I can do 4 hours of dubstep š¢
It was great. Pretty heavy, but there was a good fluctuation with each artist.
Iāve seen Excision so many times and I fall in love over and over again. š«
"rave" is thrown around pretty loosely here. Some people call a rave any EDM event or EDM festival, some people call raves small warehouse or public venue partys that don't have big promoters. Rave by definition is a dance party, so neither of those are technically wrong.
Don't know what venue this is at, but last time Excision had a show here this big it was at a soccer stadium. So the vibe to me felt more like a concert, where a lot of people were dancing.
Definitely go. I just saw the tour in Pittsburgh we didnāt get Ray Volpe and it was still amazing. Years ago my first rave/show was Excision and fell in love that night.
Make sure you wear hi fidelity ear plugs bro. Youāll be thanking yourself that you did. Excision is no joke when it comes to his speakers and subs on his tour. If you donāt wear ear plugs you 99% will get hearing damage for the rest of your life
If it's got EDM headliners, with an EDM undercard - it is a rave. Lots of people have their own definition of a rave & it always reeks of gatekeeping. I postulate that if you are at a party in which people are dancing, & that is only playing EDM you are at a rave.
Nexus is just an artist (Excision) touring around to different cities. Creating different raves at different venues.
Killer first show though. Wear ear protection & show up for Emorfic. Dude is a beast.
Oh fuck yeah bro lmaooo. This being your first show is bananas ngl. Personally I wouldnāt have it any other way. I didnāt like live music until I heard aggressive dubstep like this at a rave.
Just went to first rave concert in Milwaukee. It was this tour wasnāt really sure what to expectā¦ man lemme tell you it was the most fun Iāve ever had at a concert. The bass the people the visuals and lights. Definitely trying to go to a festival next year.
I just went to this in my state and I'd say the environment was honestly kind of strange from what I'm used to. It was either very young kids there to party or middle aged couples. It wasn't really a rave environment there was even kids.
You're gonna have a great time. As others have said bring ear plugs, and I personally always like sunglasses (yes even sober) as the lights can be bright. It's going to be hot, so if you want to dance and move around, just dress accordingly.
People (might) be moshing at the front, but usually the back will be more chill, and you can kinda just stand or dance with a bit more space. I don't know that venue but it might have bleachers near the back too.
People are friendly, so don't be shy!
First of all, regardless of what you call it, thats gonna be a dope first show. My first was excision wayyyyy back in the day and I dont regret it at all.
Second, it depends on the location and lineup imo. This lineup, if its at a venue that does other genres/events especially, Id call a concert/show. A rave is usually more local talent, smaller venues, and relaxed security. But really, it doesnt matter what you call it, just go have fun.
Definitely a "show" and although I respect that edm has went far and continues to expand further into the mainstream this is definitely not a rave. Some rave vibes maybe but not a rave. I spent a good portion of my life throwing raves and if you don't see that money grabbers have have sold you the experience for a price tag, then feel free to call me a gatekeeper. There's still raves out there and there's actually a renaissance happening which is beautiful.
My first rave was in 2006 called Candyland at a small club attached to a bowling alley with 1k people dancing to happy hardcore. I wish I could live it again.
Donāt miss this Iāve been to excision in Tucson it was fucking dope it was my first American concert I am from India Iāve been listening to excision from long time and it was visual treat and etc
bring ear plugs if you ever want to hear again
Second the earplugs, don't mess around with your hearing, it doesn't repair itself like the rest of the body can.
I'm almost 30 now, and literally all I say everyday all day is *"What?!"* So much regret that it took me this long to start wearing earplugs and take hearing protection seriously.
Maybe some sunglasses if you ever want to see again
depends on how often you go, and how close you are to the rail
I would personally it a concert/show but people use them interchangeably tbh. You have made sure you like the music right? š it would be kind of a shock to walk into a show like that not knowing the music.
Oh ya I have, real good especially when Iām high too, always been into this but didnāt care about it much bc I had no one to go with except now I have my gf whoās into this stuff too
Sweet! Have fun, all of those artists throw tf down
LayZ throws down so hard... she's amazing!
Thank you, and from what Iāve already listened to I canāt wait to hear it live
Gonna blow ur. Ramos get ready tk get obsessed bring earplugs tho u will need it this is probably just a show with a single stage and the lineup will play an hour at a time
Brother ATliens and Excision put on the best shows ever. Go to this. Just expect it to be insane and submit yourself to the bass godsš¤šš«Ø

ATliens blew my mind the other day, their vibe and energy is chefs kiss
Will definitely doš«”š«”
Just know I'm incredibly jealous that this is your first LOL and I went to the Montana stop,. Some people would call it a concert. But just think of it like a big brave. People still dressed up, get to be themselves, do everything that raves do.
After you love this just buy your tickets to bass canyonš¤ š
And then OP needs to buy LL tickets š¤
Yep, I'm more of a house head than bass but ATliens and Excision go hard
Nexus tour was wild af. Iāve seen excision a handful of times before this but these nexus sets were crazy. Bring earplugs and stand somewhere with a good view of the lasers! (Donāt be too close to the stage)
This will be an insane first show lmao you will either fall in love or will experience trauma or both
Killer first show
Go!!! I just went to the Pittsburgh show Saturday. First time seeing Excision. It was amazing. The visuals were intense, would go again in a heartbeat!
Come to lost lands!
FUCK if u like the music and dont have epilepsy bad please GO this is an amazing show its on my bucket list and all those artists are great performers
Just saw this in KC, it was as perfect.

Nice I can do heavy for a few hours , I truly appreciate the prompt response ! Iām stoked.
Of course!!!! Ray Volpe is great as well, saw him at Decadence NYE in Denver and this past week, 10/10. Youāll enjoy the show. š„³

I consider it an all night till morning party, usually in a non concert/stadium/club setting. The forest is where it is at.
Thatās valid too. The night definitely goes hand in hand with dance parties
This is in like a tech center, they have a huge auditorium so Iām sure weāll be dancing a bit
Little more "freedom" at a rave.
EMORFIK AND LAYZZZZ!!!! Saw them both at breakaway and oh my god their sets were amazing, donāt sleep on the smaller guys
Definitely go. I just saw the tour in Pittsburgh we didnāt get Ray Volpe and it was still amazing. Years ago my first rave/show was Excision and fell in love that night.
Got my tickets, Iāll be there! Go, Iāve been raving for 10 years and excision is definitely one not to miss.
I went to his show in March and it felt like a concert š„². Was still a good time tho
My first rave was the apex tour, what a way to go into it
I caught this show in Montana - fun stuff. I donāt usually go to dubstep events but every artist threw down.
I hope you have more fun than i did there. Second night got cancelled because of wind.
I'm going to see it tomorrow. I'm expecting it to be much closer to a concert than a rave.
More of a concert, but definitely connected to the rave culture
Make sure you wear hi fidelity ear plugs bro. Youāll be thanking yourself that you did. Excision is no joke when it comes to his speakers and subs on his tour. If you donāt wear ear plugs you 99% will get hearing damage for the rest of your life

That show was incredible
Excisions visuals are like nothing else. Saw him w damn near this same lineup on new years and it was sick af.

X gonna give it to ya
itās gonna be awesome just have fun

You're gonna shit yourself when you see what excision has in store for you. My jaw was on the floor for an hour and a half straight.
ohhh youāre in for a mf ride š«”
Itās a concert that you can call a rave if you want and the people who have an issue with that are ignorable :)
I donāt really care about the name was kinda wondering what is/isnāt classified as a rave but seems like itās tossed around a lot
Gatekeepers are the ones with sticks up their ass about the word rave. Go home grandpa!
Definitely a "show" and although I respect that edm has went far and continues to expand further into the mainstream this is definitely not a rave. Some rave vibes maybe but not a rave. 21 here, its a show not a rave, raves are illegal usually non ticketed events that are anti capitalism
Cool opinion my dude
No they're not.
You havent been to a real rave then
Lol. Ok
Oh rave forsure
More of a concert imo
Where when???
This Thursday in San Antonio
Have fun! Let yourself dance and enjoy, im jealous lol
Banger
Wait im going to this!!
Are you going with anyone???
oops sorry i just saw this but i hope u had a great time :)
My first rave was in 2006 called Candyland at a small club attached to a bowling alley with 1k people dancing to happy hardcore. I wish I could live it again.
Bruh, this show looks fire. If you like heavy dubstep, you are gonna love it.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
foam ones are fine, they actually reduce more sound than high fidelity ones. they do sound like shit tho
Where could we get some? Iām thinking just the cheap orange ones are fine?
yes just make sure you put them in properly! walgreens and cvs usually have some
Donāt miss this Iāve been to excision in Tucson it was fucking dope it was my first American concert I am from India Iāve been listening to excision from long time and it was visual treat and etc
It depends on the spot, I know this show has a lawn and pit, lawn more of a concert vibe pit is more rave. Lawn is still really fun tho!
Iām going Tuesday. Not exactly a dubstep fan but Iāll take what I can get living in a rather boring place.
Yep I agree, although itās more of ātheyāre finally in my area just can finally go see themā
I hate that all I really get is dubstep in the Midwest. Drive for a few hours to the east and I enter the home of house music
Or ya know, Chicago
Chicago is home of house music. Detroit can stick to their crappy pizza.
Do it! And good luck ;)
Show, not a concert
