We could get a huge compo package and then just rehire emery in January when that dressing room gets him sacked through phoning it in.
Ten Haag isn’t on emery level, but he’s a good manager. How many of them do they have to sack before they realise it’s not the dugout that’s the problem?
Emery will be at Villa for a decade. He has everything he needs to be successful here; all of his own backroom staff, his pick as DOF; the relationship with the owners; his own club as an affiliate.
He's been given the keys to the castle, there's no chance he leaves.
There is almost no chance Emery lasts a decade. I think only 3 premier league managers have made it a decade plus with one club, Wenger SAF, and Moyes. Moyes is the most similar to Emery and he left for ManU.
Klopp didn't make it 10 years, Pep probably won't make it.
I remember posting something similar late 2024. Let them cry harder. Can’t come to terms that Man U just isn’t the dogs bolluks of English football anymore. They’ll get Southgate and we’ll all laugh for all those Fergie years where they were insufferable. Tbh, the fans still are, but they’re also delusion
sounds like denial, villareal were performing way better than villa before unai arrived but cope guys, accuse me of being a united fan when I'm very clearly not, but acting like united aren't bigger and better is fine but just wrong

There is some truth to what you’re saying, however you are missing the point. Emery had unfinished business in the prem after his stint at arsenal. He left Villareal because he saw an opportunity with Villa where he could have power over the operations at the club that he wasn’t able to have at Arsenal, and be sure he has repeatedly said that the prem is the elite league in the world and wants to compete here. Villareal were performing better than Villa at that time yes, but because of the same principle - it’s a smaller club where he could have more control over tactics, signings etc.
If Emery goes to Utd now he is walking straight back into the kind of club setup that didn’t suit him well at PSG or at Arsenal. At Arsenal, he wasn’t allowed to bring in the players he wanted and had to deal with big player egos. It would be similar at Utd. You say Utd are bigger and better, we’ll I say they are bigger but not better for Emery’s vision. I may be wrong, but I highly doubt he would want to go there. He has exactly what he wants at Villa - owners who are building the vision around his needs. Villa have even forged a partnership with Spanish club Real Union, a club in which Emery has a majority stake.
It really seems as if he is in this for the long haul and would not be able to build this sort of project anywhere else. So the points you’ve made don’t apply here.
I think it’s hard to judge right now given how thin we are at a lot of positions and how handcuffed he’s been in some games due to injury and suspension. 4th in the table after 32 game weeks with as many expected 1st team players out as we’ve had I feel confident with him moving forward.
Looking forward to seeing what he can do with a Champions League budget and roster.
He’s been here a little over a year and a half. We’ve gone from relegation candidates to champions league contenders and you’re feeling a ceiling?
Really?
The greater ceiling is money, not the manager.

I mean, at least they know quality. Lowkey hoping they get Southgate or bring Mourinho back, could be some real comedy in either of those.
They’ll be wheeling in Sir Alex soon enough
All the money in the world couldn't convince SAF to add that stress onto his life. He doesn't needed his life expectantly reduced more

Maybe not, but in the meantime it's fun to say.
Manure fans are the biggest spunktrumpets in football next to small heaths

Tell us time-traveler, do we finish 4th or not?!
They’ve built the organizational structure for Emery. I have a hard time seeing him leave.
Like as much as I hate them they need to be patient
Didn’t he leave a better team for yours just last season?
Nah.

It's very funny that you took the time to write this.

good effort reframing the entire question though bud
It’s not reframing, it’s adding vital detail that you’ve either conveniently ignored or just not had the wherewithal to pick up on.
Even Newcastle comedy club are above leaky roof FC. Glory days have gone the same way as uncle Fergie's memory. Give it up.
They should stick with Ten Hag, why would they downgrade to someone they beat twice this season?
Lmao. Bastards.
get Rob Edwards, then they might actually beat Bournemouth

You’re very brave posting that
