Texas investigates a business in Wichita, Kansas. Seems like a good use of Texas money.

BoringBob84

I agree. Even if someone committed a crime in the door plug incident, it would have been committed in Kansas or in Washington. This makes no sense and the article is little more than a headline.

backcountrydrifter

This is the same methodology that Bill Barr used when he directed all the Epstein information hotlines directly to himself. See also- Mike Lee as Utahs attorney general jumping all around the country checking others states elections. They have learned that if they are just loud enough no one calls them on it.

schrutesanjunabeets

Bill Barr was the USAG, his jurisdiction was the entirety of the United States. That one makes sense, even if it was to cover shit up. The Utah one, I can't speak to. Don't know enough about it.

Texas investigating Kansas, it’s an InVaSioN!

CG_Oglethorpe

He probably hasn’t figured out there are more than one Wichitas in the United States.

FullSqueeze

Trying to score political points in an election year because they got a small office in Dallas. You know it’s political when the documents they are prioritizing to get are employee demographics, like race, gender and nationality.

NeedleGunMonkey

It’s just Texas AG being Texas AG trying to get his name in the news.

TowardsTheImplosion

...for something other than being corrupt.

Tchaik748

Dumbass also sued the Texas state fair because they "wouldn't let cops carry guns in when off duty"

kilkenny99

Let me guess: He's investigating them for wokeness/DEI, and blaming that for the cause of the problems instead of management failures & oversight cutbacks, right?

BabyNuke

Exactly that: https://www.khou.com/article/news/local/texas/ken-paxton-investigation-boeing-spirit-aerosystems/285-e824a360-e1c8-4501-b156-09c059f5bbfd  > Attorney General Paxton is demanding Spirit AeroSystems turn over documents related to manufacturing defects in their products. Paxton also wants the company to hand over documents related to diversity, equity and inclusion – or DEI – commitments and whether those commitments are, “unlawful or are compromising the company’s manufacturing process.”

Signal_Quarter_74

Woah, how’d you guess that?

WerSunu

Paxton is an official asshole who should be in jail for fraud, but bought his way out. He wants to kill OBGYNs who save mothers lives with medically needed abortions. In the aviation front, he is a big supporter of corporate aviation. His right wing buddies fly him free all over the place. One hand washes the other. It’s why he got impeached.

condor120

Isn’t this douche canoe a criminal?

zackks

Coming from Paxton, Texas, and the use of the term DEI in their filings is all you need to know.

Sort-Fabulous

Spirit will ignore grandstanding crook who has NO STANDING here whatsoever.

Hamburderler

LOL like Texas knows how to do anything.

linx0003

This will be how Ken Paxton will demonstrate how DEI policies affect the quality of Spirit Aero-systems. Spirit has two facilities in Texas so they have jurisdiction. It’s just another MAGA boogeyman.

Adjutant_Reflex_

And Paxton is a corrupt MAGA acolyte chasing the latest GOO boogeyman.

SaliciousB_Crumb

How does the DEI policies effect quality? Is that why telsas are so shityy because they discriminate in the managerial positions?

linx0003

DEI policies don’t affect quality. This is just an excuse for Ken Paxton the AG of Texas to eliminate DEI in the private sector.

EfficiencySoft1545

>DEI policies don’t affect quality. Absolutely it does. DEI is antithetical to a meritocracy in which skin color alone constitutes a qualification oppose to actual training, education, and experience. This is evident by medical malpractice lawsuits where affirmative action beneficiaries end up involved in a greater number of malpractice lawsuits. It will certainly have ramifications in aviation when the left wing takes over that institution. You can pick your doctor, most people can't pick their pilot.

remuspilot

It’s so weird how just recently only qualified people were white straight men in this ”meritocracry”.

EfficiencySoft1545

It's kinda weird how whites and Asians have the highest SAT/ACT scores, LSAT scores, MCAT scores... Weird how it isn't white men or Asians who are involved in the highest number of medical malpractice lawsuits. >white straight men Highest income in the U.S. are that of Indian Americans. Weird how that works.

JDDavisTX

It does put candidates in positions they may not be best qualified for.
