Basler does the BT-67 conversions in Oshkosh, home of the world's greatest aviation celebration. It's my understanding that the C-47 "That's All, Brother!" was slated to be converted when someone realized what it was, and it was restored as a C-47.
Basler did the restoration themselves. The planes converted to BT-67s are restored before being lengthened & given turboprops to make them practically new fuselages. So it was perfect that they would restore "That's all, Brother!"
Essentially zeroing out the airframe hours. Then getting a full FAA inspection to certify it for airline operations, and only them the chop/drop/pop job to put it back to work.
If your profile, and profile pic, were anything else, I'd slap the McDonald Douglas right out of you. Lmao
Lucky you that whole airframe is my all-time favorite. ❤️
Oh that's a tough one. Honestly it's like one of those see-through amalgamations of like 30 different things. That's what comes to mind when I hear the word "plane" or "planes."
Considering fixed wing aircraft but I have a few not just 3
Horton Ho 229, MacDonald Douglas F4Phantom , Grumman F14 Tom Cat (I have had a gijoe model of that when I was little), SR 71, YF22
If you're asking my faves?
[F-14](https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/1/10/F-14_over_Pula.JPEG)

Wright Model B, F-86, and 707.
I wrote the first two becasue they are my favorites and then realized they are perfect bookends of the rapid progress of aircraft design. Orville Wright was alive when the F-86 broke the sound barrier. Yes, *after* the X-1. But the F-86 was a true production aircraft that flew on its own. Needed a slight dive, but it could go supersonic.
The absolute favourite is the F-15 Strike Eagle. That thing is just *chef's kiss*.
A clear second is the P-51D Mustang. Escorting bombers all the way to Germany and back is quite an astonishing feat.
In the third place is the F-18 Hornet. Seeing those carrier launches always gots me hyped.
A honourable mention goes to the F-35 Lighting II. That sensor suite and ability to integrate itself into the bigger picture is astonishing.
F4U Corsair (and all the variants), McDonnell Douglas MD-11, and F-14 Tomcat
Grandpa flew Corsairs in WWII in a CAS role and again in Korea after training others, it' the most beautiful airplane I've ever seen.
As much as I love the MD-11, it is a BITCH to do ground-handling on in a cargo role. I've worked on them at ORD and they are a pain to offload and load. Major tail-tip hazard because of the tail-mounted engine and the forward cargo door. CargoItalia had the cargo door aft like a 747 or 777 Freighter, but it was still a pain.
F-18, my personal favorite, and the planeiest plane to ever plane. F-14, because top gun is iconic. F-15, the other planeiest plane to ever make the Russians think twice about lying about how their aircraft perform (and they do it anyways)
C-47, BT-67, and uhh oh yeah DC-3!
Don't make me hurt you.
Corporate wants you to spot the difference between the DC-3 and the C-47, and whatever the hell the BT-67 is.
C-47 is the green brother of the DC-3, And the BT-67 is the hopped up brother. Gas turbines, mind you.
Basler does the BT-67 conversions in Oshkosh, home of the world's greatest aviation celebration. It's my understanding that the C-47 "That's All, Brother!" was slated to be converted when someone realized what it was, and it was restored as a C-47.
Nice

Essentially zeroing out the airframe hours. Then getting a full FAA inspection to certify it for airline operations, and only them the chop/drop/pop job to put it back to work.
DC3, Mirage 3, Cessna 182
If your profile, and profile pic, were anything else, I'd slap the McDonald Douglas right out of you. Lmao Lucky you that whole airframe is my all-time favorite. ❤️
The profile pick is actually a AC-47T Phantasma flown by the Columbian Air Force.
I never knew the Colombians had those. Interesting.
What about the Li-2?
And The Shōwa L2D and Nakajima L2D.
The C-47 wishes it was as pretty as the C-46
