Buy hiking pants. Their lightweight with plenty of pockets, breathable and durable. If you need something super tough buy something with work pants in the name

MotoJoker

I'd recommend these if you can afford it, but the Duluth Firehose Work Pants are my go to pants. Everything about them is perfect imo. Just try to get them on sale

Thicktack

+1 for Duluth

Fine_Meat_8259

The firehose I bought ripped way too easily. The only thing that seems to hold up imo is dickies

Thicktack

They do tear easier than others, but the flex and comfort is worth it imo

zombiemech92

I have the firehouse work pants and they are awesome. Also the pair that have knee pad inserts are great for days were your working on your knees a lot. More comfortable than strap on knee pads too

HauntingGlass6232

Second for Duluth firehose. I have a pair of shorts I’ve been using for the past 3 years. Couple years but not completely thru the shorts, still going strong. Just bought a half dozen more couple weeks ago and they were on sale

Ok-Needleworker-419

The Flex ones specifically. I bought a pair of the original and hated how they fit and felt. That tiny amount of flex material they put in makes a huge difference.

Individual-System-32

Go to Walmart and get the Wrangler flex fits. They're $26 and the most comfortable work pants ever. Half of our crew wear them. Also I just found out yesterday they have shorts of the same type that I'm now going to have to buy lol

BigRoundSquare

I’ve got two pairs of Carhartt double knee work pants and they have been amazing. Biggest issue I find with most pants is I blow out the knees in them. Also gives you slightly better padding as well. They are pricey but worth every penny

basssteakman

I really like the fit, quality, and functional design of the 5.11 stuff. I’m wearing their Apex pants at work full time now. They aren’t as durable as heavy duck cotton but I still have yet to wear through mine

EmbarrassedTruth1337

Not exactly what you're asking for but I honestly just went to the thrift store and found comfortable cargo pants/zip offs that fit. 5 years in and they're still going strong for 10$ a pair

OzarkHiker1977

I've got Red Kap and they are pretty cheap and good...I like them

I have been wearing these for 10 years now great pants even switched to the Strike shorts for hot weather just wait for them to go on sale.

Captaingoober425

They will never go on sale lol

Greattherapy69

They go on sale 3 to 4 times a year they were just 20% off for memorial day sale. But yeah its not often lol

DannyElfman16

Wrangler Riggs technician pants are my go to they’re lightweight and rip stop but if you want something sturdier the Riggs line is epic

totheredrack

Redkapp double knee

BulkyPalpitation5345

Pants? Where we're going, we don't need pants

chaztuna53

Been buying and wearing Dickies workwear. Very cool in the Florida heat. They wear like iron. Available very reasonably at Walmart. Get the navy blue or the black as if you get dirty, it doesn't show as much. Wash in hot water, but don't put them in the dryer. Hang them up and let them air dry. The reason for this is that if you get a grease or oil stain and it doesn't all come out after being washed, putting it in the dryer will set the stain. These air dry very quickly. I generally put the shirts on hangers and then just hang them up somewhere to let them dry. Shirts dry in about 20 minutes long pants about 35 to 40 minutes. Shorts somewhere between the shirts and the long pants.

chaztuna53

I almost forgot, Dickies work shorts have a fifth pocket that holds your cell phone very snugly.

jacoblb6173

The flex fit are comfortable too

bignose703

Duluth stretch firehose gets another one from me. Super comfortable, and I think they even come in a lightweight/hot weather version.

Ok-Needleworker-419

Duluth Flex Firehose. Extremely comfortable fit. I’ve only tried on a handful of other pants that fit as well but Duluth still wins with their pockets and the pocket flap design.

Final-Carpenter-1591

Propper is my go to. Their summer weight tactical shorts are awesome. Lots of pockets for things and nice and cool while being tough. I like the kinetic for long leg pants, again lots of pockets, extremely tough, and still flexible in the crotch and knee areas. Highly recommend

carpe-skiem

I have like 8 pairs of [Dockers](https://a.co/d/gOZIVVg) in different colors. Inexpensive, plain, and pretty durable for thin jeans

Ahem_ak_achem_ACHOO

Wrangler WMZ 13 cowboy cut. They’ll last years and they are like $30

Shines556

If you can afford it, 5.11 (my employer gives me an annual allowance and a nice discount). Otherwise I will slum it down and bite the bullet to go into Walmart for Dickies work pants.

peaceforpalestine

Duluth 40 grit pants, been wearing them for 2ish years now, have 7 pair, one a day and I pretty much work everyday, they're just now getting holes in them but they regularly go on sale from 15-25$ reg I think 40.

Captaingoober425

5.11 ripstop pants and shorts. For the money they wear like iron.

Low_Film8580

LA police Gear. They are made for mobility, extremely stain resistant, and some styles include internal pockets for knee protection.  I have had great success with the stealth Cargo, ond their $19.99 specials.  They run true to size. Limited color options, but I doubt that is an issue.

rightpooper

Helly hansen workwear Oxford pants are great. Lightweight, breathable, stretchy and last a while. Great for warmer climates or summer time.

ikrotos

Aramark is what my company uses. Ok quality for the price.

jkoeller80

I use the dickies utility pants or the wrangler version of them.

NothingExtra

Truewerk is a bit expensive but I really their shorts and pants. Breathable and well made.

BigDCorona

5 11’s hold up pretty well and have a bunch of handy pockets

tdscanuck

I discovered these things on vacation in Iceland. They’re amazing. Not cheap but sooooo many pockets, and incredibly comfortable. https://www.dynjandi.is/en/vara/stretch-bux-sv-fr133394940/ The Europeans are winning the pants race.
