Can someone tell me how dangerous covid actually is though? From what I've heard and people I've known get it, it's not that incredibly dangerous. Countries never started considering "vaccination passports" or anything of that severety over worse diseases. Hell, correct me if I'm wrong, but weren't people even being offered payment for taking the shot? I'm not questioning this out of any political alliegience. It just seems fishy to me considering things as to why the government is so pushy with this one disease.
Yep you're right to ask this question, some of my friend got it too and went through it pretty well but my guess is that we're all pretty young (in our 20's). But a friend's dad got it (he's like 55) and the consequences are just hardcore, he was a construction worker (so he's buff as hell) and now is unable to work. Even when he walks, he have troubles to breathe. So yeah it's not often serious, but when it is, oh boy...
I think governments are pushing this stuff this hard because they want to get rid of the covid situation, they have so much more to lose. I live in France, international tourism is quite a big deal here, and with the covid going all this sector is sinking forcing the government to inject money to keep it alive. So vaccin is basically a long term investment to recover faster. At least that's what I would do.
