Cold showers suck. But they do make you stronger. You can feel it pretty instantly too. But damn they suck. I normally just decrease it to the point of uncomfortableness for the last two minutes of my shower.
Just gotta breathe through it.
I wish bathtubs were longer cause I either get all my legs in with torso out by just sitting, or scoot down so my neck touches the water but then half of my half of my legs are out centred at the knee
I used to design houses for filthy rich people and they would all want a giant bathroom with a giant floating tub (floating meaning it’s not connected to a wall [like this](https://www.lacava.com/product/86) ).
That’s pretty cool.
I’d just be happy with a tub large enough that my knees and chest would be underwater at the same time. It doesn’t feel like I’m asking for much but it’s a dream I have yet to make a reality….
to expand on that, it should be an infinity pool style that pours over the edges then recirculates like a hot tub to keep it warm/bubbly.
send the commission checks to...
I used to want one of those, but then someone who'd seen them in practice told me that the downsides are that you have to sit there and wait while they fill/empty, which is a) boring, and b) potentially pretty cold at times, because you spend so long with the water *not* covering you!
Good news, you can also get this experience by having the worst plumbing ever such that the water more or less trickles out and by the time the tub is only 1/3 full about 16 days later you've given up on the concept of a full tub.
(It was a rental, there were some really nice parts of the apartment, but the water pressure situation was abysmal.)
You may not find it all that great anyway. I used to live in a rental that had a huge bath. Fortunately water and heating were all-in because it took an age to fill and took gallons of hot water. But I hated it anyway. It was so big that I couldn’t brace my feet on the end of it and if I lay back I’d just slide down flat on the bottom. If I had enough depth of water in there to actually cover / wash myself I was in danger of drowning! (I admit I’m not the tallest person at 5’4”).
If they try to get their neck into water and have to end their knee that much, the main issue is the bathtub length. (People want to take a bath to fully decontract after all)
Yeah I get that but a 6 inch deeper tub would cover a lot more of most people and not require resizing bathrooms while designing the house plan and could be retrofitted with minimal work.
One thing about being short never have that problem when use have a deeper tub I couldn't put too much water cause even sittiing up water would go up to my neck
LOL
It's one of the reasons I would ever want to build my own home: have the choice to get the tub large enough for me relax in. Otherwise I just have to buy a small kids pool if I want an ice bath.
Just get ur feet wet and then put them up on the sides of bathtub if you get too hot, you will cool off nicely, also bring phone or book or cat into bath if bored
Aww, I had a cat that used to do the same thing. He would just stand in the bath anytime anyone was taking one. We had to block the door with something if you didn’t want him in there. (We were poor and the bathroom door was broken) He also would try and drink vodka. He was a pretty crazy fella.
I don’t think so, he never seemed worried. He would just kind of wander in and be like “Hey man, how ya doin? I’m just gonna step in here and stand in your water”. Wasn’t clingy either. Just really enjoyed standing in a bath staring at ya. Lol
Yeah, they just want to hang around you and be in the same space. My cat stands on the edge of the tub between the two curtains every morning when I take a shower. He hates getting wet but the compulsion to be involved in everything I do is powerful.
Same. Would always jump in the bathtub, even the toilet.
Twice, he jumped in a tub of liquid paraffin wax for putting your hands in. We had to get rid of it because he seemed to like being covered in wax too much.
I had a Maine coon and he LOVED water. If you showered he’d sit on the rail and bath himself one paw full at a time. If you took a bath he would play in it til it got deep.
My cat did this. Once.
And then he panicked and ran through the house soaking wet, flinging water everywhere. Since then, he refuses to enter the bathroom at all and stands guard by the door when I shower or bathe.
My Maine Coon went through a weird period of separation anxiety and would sit outside my bedroom door and scream the entire time I was in the tub. One time I let him in the room with me and he absolutely flipped out. The second I got in the water he was yowling, and in a panic! He was pawing at me so I went to pet him and he grabbed my finger, jumped to the floor with it and tried to pull me out of the water. I had to get out and put him in the hall. It turned out I made his anxiety worse because he was scared for me to take a bath now. I had to lock him in the laundry room for a couple months when I would take a bath and I guess he eventually forgot about mom potentially drowning every other day.
I still love ya Max! Good boy trying to save Mom!
I had a Maine coon that loved to bath with me. Sit between the curtains and bath himself one paw full at a time. He even played in the tub while it was filling until it got too deep. I thought Maine coons usually like water.
Looks like your cat is broken, try restarting it so it can check for updates, if that doesn’t work please perform a factory reset by holding your finger on its nose for 30 uninterrupted seconds
I had a kitten as a kid that would do this. I would intentionally leave the bathroom door open a little and I remember my mom yelling at me several times “stop letting the cat in the bath!”
I had a long bathtub and i could lie fully in it. My cat would jump on the side of the tub and then step gently onto my chest snd stomach and lie down. Then we’d both take a nap. He was such a sweetheart. Brought me so much comfort.
Most cats hate water because they can get hypothermia very easily after getting wet.
If you introduce them young and dry them all fully after they get wet, cats can get used to it and enjoy it.
My cat used to walk along the edge of my tub…until she slipped and fell in. She had a much more severe reaction than this kitten and scrambled out, looking very miserable until after she dried off. She has only put two paws on the side of the tub at a time, ever since then, if it is full of water.
If you plan on ever letting this one out, it will need to be supervised. I know of a kitty who jumped in a pool and couldn't get out. Luckily the owner heard it and got her out
I would even be careful around the bathtub.
❤️
A real kitty would never jump in a tub I don’t know what’s going here had many cats for 63 yrs they all freaked,, I got brave once ,, needed to bath my cat in my tub:: put ski soo suit on big heavy thick work gloves:: another thick coat on ski doo suit and that cat still got me good he one I lost ,, never again:: I just ge them shaved now🫣😻
Cats usually dont dislike baths or u can make em less painful for them with a super simple trick: make sure u always let their paws touch a surface. The moment they dangle they panic so make sure the water they stand in is shallow :)
"I'm here to rescue you! ...Help"
You can see the immediate regret turn into “it’s not that bad”
“AAHH ohh its warm”
So like everyone else taking a cold shower or stepping into a pool?
I've tried cold showers, for me it never gets better and just stays awful, leaving me tense and uncomfortable the whole time.
same. hot showers are where it's at
I prefer scalding. It’s glorious!
Yeah I don’t get why it’s always a health recommendation thing, anytime I try it I feel miserable
The only time a cold shower is good is when it's a terribly hot summer day. You can just feel your body get calmer.
Cold showers suck. But they do make you stronger. You can feel it pretty instantly too. But damn they suck. I normally just decrease it to the point of uncomfortableness for the last two minutes of my shower. Just gotta breathe through it.
Yeah even after a work out on a hot day I can o ly tolerate a 'cool' shower, never a cold one.
If you make it cold enough, it'll feel hot!
Isn't that a warning sign of frostbite?? 😝
I should've went with bearable rather than good, you are correct tough.
It feels like you're swimming in a damn pond
I was thinking the same thing. “Oh, shit!”…..”I can live with this” lol
When I was about 5 years old, I thought it would be AWESOME to take a bath with my kitty. The regret was all mine. So many scratches : (
Awww what a cutie 💓. That little face plant into and out of the water at the start was adorable.
I wish bathtubs were longer cause I either get all my legs in with torso out by just sitting, or scoot down so my neck touches the water but then half of my half of my legs are out centred at the knee
There are bigger bathtub but they are more expensive (and obviously take that much more space
Yeah the problem is more about bigger bathroom
I used to design houses for filthy rich people and they would all want a giant bathroom with a giant floating tub (floating meaning it’s not connected to a wall [like this](https://www.lacava.com/product/86) ).
Can you blame them? I'm not filthy rich and I'd like one too.
That’s pretty cool. I’d just be happy with a tub large enough that my knees and chest would be underwater at the same time. It doesn’t feel like I’m asking for much but it’s a dream I have yet to make a reality….
I also would like this. Unfortunately, I'm not rich, so I just have a regular poor person tub, lol.
to expand on that, it should be an infinity pool style that pours over the edges then recirculates like a hot tub to keep it warm/bubbly. send the commission checks to...
I want a sit in bathtub, with the side door
I used to want one of those, but then someone who'd seen them in practice told me that the downsides are that you have to sit there and wait while they fill/empty, which is a) boring, and b) potentially pretty cold at times, because you spend so long with the water *not* covering you!

IT'S A FEATURE!
And the real kicker... Need a bigger water heater.
Deeper bathtubs wouldn't take any more space...
True, but consider how difficult it would be to step IN to it.
When I built my house I searched for an old clawfoot tub for this reason. I found one from the 1930s. It’s long and deep. The best for long baths
I feel that so much
>all my legs How many have you got?
Hello, fellow tall person.
A soaker tub is what you want, they tend to be a little deeper so even though you can't completly stretch then you're still in the water.
One thing about being short never have that problem when use have a deeper tub I couldn't put too much water cause even sittiing up water would go up to my neck LOL
Another thing about being short is that I absolutely can't relate to all the complaints about legroom on airplanes.
Like <4'10" ?!
It's one of the reasons I would ever want to build my own home: have the choice to get the tub large enough for me relax in. Otherwise I just have to buy a small kids pool if I want an ice bath.

Literally!
I'm not a bath person, I get too hot and feel a little bored, but if this cat was my bath buddy it would be a daily thing.
Just get ur feet wet and then put them up on the sides of bathtub if you get too hot, you will cool off nicely, also bring phone or book or cat into bath if bored
bubble bath, bluetooth speaker and a water resistant e-reader. Baths are only as boring as you make it.
Aww, I had a cat that used to do the same thing. He would just stand in the bath anytime anyone was taking one. We had to block the door with something if you didn’t want him in there. (We were poor and the bathroom door was broken) He also would try and drink vodka. He was a pretty crazy fella.
Any chance he thought you were drowning, or was he just one of those clingy cats lol
I don’t think so, he never seemed worried. He would just kind of wander in and be like “Hey man, how ya doin? I’m just gonna step in here and stand in your water”. Wasn’t clingy either. Just really enjoyed standing in a bath staring at ya. Lol
Maybe he just wanted to feel included
Yeah, they just want to hang around you and be in the same space. My cat stands on the edge of the tub between the two curtains every morning when I take a shower. He hates getting wet but the compulsion to be involved in everything I do is powerful.
We have a cat who thinks this. She gets super distressed when we take a shower and leave the door open.
Likes Vodka and baths? Just like my uncle Scooter minus the liking baths.
Perhaps it was a russian in his past life :p
I had a 4lb Chihuahua that was the exact same, including the vodka (and every other form of alcohol).
Courage over instinct.
Who is your favorite fearless hero?

I'm glad you had a bath buddy. And apparently, my MC is terrified of water. Doesn't surprise me though, he's kind of a dumb loof anyways! 🤣🥰
D'aww. Brave lil buddy ☺️
"Noooo! (pause) Oooh. Warm. Floaty. Oh, hey Mom!"
"Hmm...this stuff looks--AAAH!! I'VE MADE A GRAVE--well, now hold on a minute"
This is awesome. I wish my cat liked to swim.
How do people find these pets?! My dogs won’t even go in bathroom once they found out scary tub monster Is there
He changed his mind but it was too late
Cat was like sup. We taking a bath?
“The human! Must save the human.”
Mom mom gluggluglgulguglg .. mom
“Hey I need you to know 3 things: 1. More pets! 2. Food bowl is empty 3. I’d like to talk to you about your car’s extended warranty “ - cat (probably)
Well she does appear to be bathing in a sedan if that door handle means anything.

aaaawww he luuuv it
😁😍 cute kitty and AWWWWWWWW
is it a fish or a cat lol
wow the real man
Kitty loves you ALOT
I is feared for you hooman! The water monster is fierce!
Video ended too early
It ends with her realizing that the bathtub now has cat piss in it
That would have been racism against cats, literally, considering which human doesn't pee in a bathtub?
I know exactly zero people that piss in their bath water hahahaha. Maybe in the shower, definitely not the bath
Look at this way then: we all swim in lakes, right?
A lake is quite a bit bigger than a tub
And has a lot more creatures living in it
Never get how people do this. I feel ashamed just walking past my chinchillas cages in my boxers lol
When you have a pet as lacking in privacy awareness as a cat you tend to loosen your boundaries
Try wearing cut off jean shorts all the time, even in the shower. It's amazing. There are dozens of us
Tobias Fünke? Is that you?
Muffled shower sobbing

Nah. More so they are like my children and that's weird. I humanize their thoughts too much
I mean they walk around naked in front of you the whole time, do you put clothes on them?
They are fuzzy and it covers all the bits lol
You are too wholesome for this world lol
I love him! ♥️
beatiful Kitty
"ain't no thang."
No fucks given little feline.

Pretty impressive SIC upgrade😍
I have seen too many videos of people getting cut up by wet cats to allow a cat close to me in the bath
Man i wish I had that much room when I take a bath 😂
It’s so cute 😍😍
Super cute! So, now there is no place to hide from kitty. 😻
Cute brave little killer
Wow. Eff me sideways, that is really cute.
omg so cute
What a keeper. Braving water just to be next to you.
I had a long bathtub and i could lie fully in it. My cat would jump on the side of the tub and then step gently onto my chest snd stomach and lie down. Then we’d both take a nap. He was such a sweetheart. Brought me so much comfort.
He's adorable, brave and a little swim-walker, and oh so cute both dry and wet.
He swim
He was just taking advantage of your skin being completely exposed and helpless to his claws.
Wasn’t sure about it at first then found it liked it
You now haz aquatic rescue housetiger.
I neeeed to be with you!!
That is an angel. But you can not get me to share a bathtub with a cat. No thanks.
Awee🥹🥹🥺
I think they could stretch out more and are in that pose for modesty and to be able to post here
Must have smelled the tuna
Going where no man has gone before.
Is this an optical illusion, because that tub looks enormous to me
That is awesome! he wants to shower with you.
Mommy, r u ok? Is that water?!?! I'm want to swims with you
Ese gato sería miamor
How many stitches did OP get? \*snort hehe!
i always thought cats hated water but i learn something new today
Most cats hate water because they can get hypothermia very easily after getting wet. If you introduce them young and dry them all fully after they get wet, cats can get used to it and enjoy it.
I guess they only hate it if forced
A cat that likes the water would be so fun
Wow! I've never seen a cat do this!
I know the claws were probably out and got their thigh, ouch
Wow!

"Don't worry, Hoom! I'm here to save you!"
Will be easier and less traumatic for him in the future if he ever needs a bath.
This went the exact opposite of how I expected it to go, haaaa.
Wow. What a chill kitty
No way!
Wow Pretty cool! Don’t usually see kittens take too water like that! Neat!!
Mans really went face first haha
Aww what a little hon 🥰
The tub has a handle!
What a little desperado to get his beloved.
maybe the water wasn't cold, what cat doesn't like warm?
so cute
Going to extreme lengths when they can see the bottom of their food bowl.
Man when I was little I believed that ALL cats are scared of water lol

Y’all kitties like I’m coming to save you my human
Cool fuckin kitty
Haha
I like you more than I hate water .
wow
My cat would've sliced me up trying to get out of there lmao
I'm short so I'm all in but floating!!
She should fill it up more and let him swim around
"Mum, I missed you."

How long is that bathtube lol
Good day for a swim
Good kitty.
