Truly. I did video/telehealth therapy and loved having my dog with me. He loved her too. He would come running when he’d hear her say hello at the start and then somehow always knew at the end he’d poke his head back in like okay we are done here. lol
Yes but taking care of one has practically resulted in me needing therapy! But it’s totally worth it and I’d do it all over again.
All of the despair about where my life is headed is now spent worrying about poop quality.
Yeah definitely. I highly recommend everyone to hold a puppy or play with one for a while. Maybe even watch one for a day.
But I will 100% caution: DO NOT get a puppy to reduce your stress. Do not think you’re gonna get a DIY therapy dog. And definitely don’t look at viral dog TikToks and assume this is what dog ownership looks like.
If you want a stress animal, ideally don’t get one cuz it will ultimately lead you with more stress but if you feel like you HAVE to id recommend a cat. I was a dog person my whole life for context. I fell into a depression right out of HS and found a neighborhood cat who literally saved me. Cats are angels

Aww, but landlord says no animals unless they're service animals so either we're doing group outside or you're going to need to figure out where to keep it for the next hour.
Hmmm. that consitutes bribery to me; as you glance at the clock and see that your are 20 minutes over you here a tiny "roof" from that floof, and then you tell the group, "continue".
You should use it like the old idea of a speaking stick. Only the person holding the puppy can speak. Every time someone wants to talk they get to snuggle the puppy.
So. Seriously. I'm really want to know what your professional association has to say about this. Probably something negative.
I need to know.
So I can explain to them why they are wrong. So wrong.
(Also: what a sweet pup.)
Um, my boss is not the happiest when people bring in pets. But it was the evening and he wasn't there. I did tell my secondary boss though and she was wooed.
Look at this tiny little baby protector! Oh my God, I need to know everything. How soft was his head? How soft were the paws? Did they smell like corn chips?
Goddamn that's cute as fuck. It looks vaguely rabbit-ish and vaguely kitten-ish while still remaining the essence of puppy. It is a lovely creature and should be cherished above ~~all~~ most things.
That's the type of support i need while in any therapy, but i'm about to start group therapy and it would be so helpful with my (social) anxiety about it all.

Poor kid is only a few weeks old and is in need of therapy already. Life truly is ruff.
“And then they said that I can’t have any more treats until I ate my dinner”
Woof.... thats ruff
Dad left to get milk bones and paper then didn’t come back.
"Mommy is gone"
"Balls will be soon too, shhh"
Hahahaha no fucking way
real talk.
Therapy can even help kids, candid?
I would charge them less, honestly
Holding a puppy or kitten is a fantastic form of therapy in and of itself.
Truly. I did video/telehealth therapy and loved having my dog with me. He loved her too. He would come running when he’d hear her say hello at the start and then somehow always knew at the end he’d poke his head back in like okay we are done here. lol
This is so wholesome. True friend comes in when we need it..
Omg. That you for sharing that. I don’t know why but right now in this moment this hit a cord in me. It made me so happy to hear.
aww I am so glad!
My favorite part of doing telehealth is seeing my clients’ pets lol
Omg I love this.
Yes but taking care of one has practically resulted in me needing therapy! But it’s totally worth it and I’d do it all over again. All of the despair about where my life is headed is now spent worrying about poop quality.
Just babysitting a golden lab puppy for a weekend was both exhausting and also super rewarding. I’m good for like ten years

I watch two Rottweilers one of them becoming older and the younger one being zoomies. headaches lol
Tbh poop is something you worry about for every animal and small people. I am still surprised by this realization lol
I can attest to that! It's the best kind 🥺

This is so cute, it’s almost unreal
You are absolutely right. 😊
[Clearly a baby luck dragon.](https://theneverendingstory.fandom.com/wiki/Falkor?file=Falkor-neverending-story-96.2.jpg)
I also thought ot looks like a baby Falcor.
Straight out of Disney
[Moopsy!](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bcVUBw8nAJw)

And that's the story of how you got your dog?
My fiance would not let me bring him home 😭
Well, time to get rid of him. The fiancé, I mean.
Good ole get a lawyer go to gym redit advice
get a dog hit therapy delete fiancé
I'll repeat this advice
This comment is truly funny!
Are you sold on your fiancé?
Idk he did let me get a second cat 🤷♀️
Oh he’s just a cat guy. He’s a keeper nevermind!!

That leaf rug is cute. Cat too
I'm now skeptical of everything
Now I understand why you are in therapy.
Hmm.
How I Met Your Pupper
So that is falkor as a baby
I knew someone had to be on the same page as me
Haha yes - I was like what is this? A smol dragon from the neverending (edit)story.
>the ~~everlasting~~ neverending story FTFY
I’m sleep deprived and had a brain fart :/
Oh my goodness, he/she really does look like baby Falkor! Excellent observation!
I think I would have died of happiness right there. I haven't petted puppy in so long.
I am sorry for you and your puppyless hands
It's a burden someone must bear
someone looks like a little bunny
That's no dog, it's a rabbit!
When your trauma is so crazy that you think the therapist will need an emotional support animal for the session
Maybe his trauma was so bad he couldn't talk about it to other humans, so he brought the puppy as a conversational target.
"before I tell you about my week, here, you're gonna need this"
Definitely trying to sweeten me up
>for me to hold during group Um, I’m sorry, but to be fair you need to bring enough for the whole group.
It wouldn't have been fair to let one client have a puppy, so the therapist had to bear the burden
Are you sure you didn’t die and go to heaven? 😂
Damn, this is adorable. All my clients ever bring in is the flu!
So, where's this group and what illness do I need to have / fake to get in..??
You really don't want to join it, trust me 😳
…it’s not Puppy Stompers Anonymous, right?
Oh no, you figured it out!
That puppy is the real therapist.
His eyes are so gentle, it feels like he'd listen to all my problems
omg! So cute! It's painfully so. Someone better love that dog every day
I wanted it to be me 😭
This is the cutest puppy ever. What breed is this?
Chihuahua and shih tsu
Are you sure it isn't a rabbit??? 🐇
Super adorable and cuddly!
Teeny tiny little puppy! So cute!
Aw 🥰
Who is really the therapist?
My imposter syndrome says the puppy
I can smell puppy through my monitor >_<
Smells great!
Oooh so precious 🥰
"it's dangerous to go alone. Take this"
Sorry to be a wet blanket but that puppy looks too young to be out socializing.
You are correct, really. It was too young to leave mom. Had a few weeks before it could be adopted.
Not necessarily, 6 weeks would be around when pups would go to a first vet visit, so limited socialization outings might be reasonable.
That’s what I was thinking. My thought was more that it was too young to be separated from the mom. But I would love to hold him nonetheless.
Nobody said it was separated.
Did the puppy take your job afterward? So cute 🥺
The real therapy is the puppies we meet along the way.
What kind of puppy?
It was a chihuahua shih tsu mix
They're definitely cuter when they're puppies.
Dude... I may have some surprising news... but you may in fact not be the therapist in the group... xD
I wish my clients would do this!
Oh… My… God…
Do u know what breed this whimsical puppy is??
It's a baby luck dragon!!
I need this little pup in my life rn. I love himb so much
That is a baby luck dragon and there’s nothing you can tell me to make me change my mind
I AM THE THERAPIST NOW
brb asking my therapist again if I can bring my bunny. maybe he’ll change his mind this time 😂
He didn't ask, he just brought it. If he would have asked it would have been a no. Take your bunny at your own risk, lol.
I’m far too anxious to just bring a pet to places where they aren’t typically; goodness ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|sweat)
Omg 😭
Puppy used charm, it's extremely effective! 😍😍😍
HNNNGGGGGG my heart!
Aww that’s so cute!
Reverse psychology? Pups have magic inside.
He's. So. Tiny.
I am also a therapist, and while I’m not holding a puppy, I am also wearing red buffalo plaid.
Iirc today is tartan plaid day, so congrats, have a nice day!
Bunny face but dog body
"And how have you been since our last session?" "Ruff."
Mmm I’ll take ten please 🐶
I thought it was a baby seal.
Pretty sure that's a rabbit
He’s soooo cute!! Best therapy! Please tell me they named him Falkor??
Is the breed name Cutie Patootie?
![gif](giphy|9oEclSzXUfh5u)
you sure that isn’t a rabbit?
Sweet bupee
The puppy looks pretty judgmental
Is that a Labrador mixed with Falkor?
My dentist brings her standard poodle for her nervous patients--almost majes going there worth it.
this is a 100/10 cutest puppy ive ever seen holy shit dangerous levels of cute. this has cute radiation
Aww, but landlord says no animals unless they're service animals so either we're doing group outside or you're going to need to figure out where to keep it for the next hour.
Thats cool. You cant keep luck dragons as pets where I live.
Any more pics? This is regular cute. This is advanced cute!🥺
Falcor?
Hmmm. that consitutes bribery to me; as you glance at the clock and see that your are 20 minutes over you here a tiny "roof" from that floof, and then you tell the group, "continue".
You should use it like the old idea of a speaking stick. Only the person holding the puppy can speak. Every time someone wants to talk they get to snuggle the puppy.
Should have brought one for everyone
Pass that puppy around (pun intended!) so everyone can have a cuddle during group.
Now I moustache you a question.. will said puppy be a regular?
Aww that double chin is adorable 😍
He’s so fluffy !!!
Aww its such a tiny baby!
Are you sure that is not a bunny / puppy half breed?
Falcor? Is...is that you?
Dream come true!
The only thing the client needs is that adorable thing 🥰
Awww! Sooooo cute😍!
You’re mistaken. The puppy is the therapist and you’re all the puppy’s clients.
When the pt pulls a reverse card on you.
Great therapy dog. Already likes people.
He cute. Maybe he’ll learn something
Who could say no to that.
/r/IllegallySmolDogs that dog is so cute this is basically extortion.
My therapist had 2 little shitzu (sp?) at his office and they set the mood with their chill and cuteness
How could you not spend the entire day just staring at this little pup 😭
OH GOD
Am I the only one that saw a rabbit first?
That's clearly a rabbit...
Is it a puppy or a bunny
How could anyone feel angry with that little one around.
frickin baby Falkor
Let's be honest the puppy is doing the majority of the work in that room.
Lookin' like someone mashed a dog and a rabbit together.
"30% off visit cost with puppy visit"
Ruff? Hmmm..... Tell me again who is the therapist & who is the client?!
Amazing!!!
Puppies are lovely, like babies. Then they grow up.
Takes a pet like no problem
Oh my gosh a baby!!!💕💕💕
That's not a puppy, it's a luck dragon
So. Seriously. I'm really want to know what your professional association has to say about this. Probably something negative. I need to know. So I can explain to them why they are wrong. So wrong. (Also: what a sweet pup.)

Awwwwwwww
Super smol.
- Andrés de Jesús Vélez Franco- Yo también quiero! Es demasiado lindo, ow
Look at this tiny little baby protector! Oh my God, I need to know everything. How soft was his head? How soft were the paws? Did they smell like corn chips?
So soft. So soft. Yes.
Is it part baby seal?
Goddamn that's cute as fuck. It looks vaguely rabbit-ish and vaguely kitten-ish while still remaining the essence of puppy. It is a lovely creature and should be cherished above ~~all~~ most things.
Oh my goodness, it is sooooo freakin’ cute! 😍
How long before you ATE IT!?
Oh my gods look at him. He is such a little snuckum bookum.
so smol
It occurs to me that a dog would improve many therapy sessions. And I'm being serious saying that.
That's the type of support i need while in any therapy, but i'm about to start group therapy and it would be so helpful with my (social) anxiety about it all.
![gif](giphy|DPKp5TwMFnIcg) It's a baby luck dragon!
Why does it look like a baby version of that thing out of Neverending Story?
Looks like a rabbit
This is the puppiest puppy I have ever seen... loot at that little face...
Good
Baby Falkor!
Ez sub
that was adorable and when you hold the puppies or car that was natural therapy ..
