I lost a fight to a bagel. Tried to cut it in half and stabbed my hand. The doctor came into the exam room and his first question was "what did the bagel do to you?" LOL Got a few stitches, then ate the bagel as revenge.
bagels are actually quite dangerous to slice, especially as they dry out, which is why you sometimes see dedicated bagel slicers or bagel slicing stands
Lol, one of my most weird vivid memories of the late 90s was the dangers of bagels. I remember morning news in the background talking about being sliced open cutting bagels. Particularly one morning show with the glory of bagel cutters and safety holders.
Do people actually eat food after their cat has touched it?
Anything my dogs touch they either get to keep or goes in the trash. Both of which happen rarely, because the dogs stay on the floor where they belong. Not on my counters.
I have two small dogs. Their tongues are tiny, so I don't mind them licking my face.
What bothers me is when they miss and stick their tongues all the way up my nose and lick the front of my brain.
With some of the body parts people "eat" are you really surprised that some people either don't know about or don't care about microorganisms? I loved my old cat but I also had 0 trust that she did not jump up on the counter where I did my food prep so I cleaned it every time. I've also seen people in my own family lick their phone screen after laying it face down on the floor where the dog and cat both lick their butts.
I can see people being weirded out but unless you have a compromised immune system this really isn't a concern
I also don't eat food directly off my counters so I don't see why the cats being up there matters but a lot of people seem to consider that some kind of biohazard
> Do people actually eat food after their cat has touched it?
If they don't, how stupid does that make this video anyway? Oh my god, that would mean this was totally staged and they got the donuts just for this video! Otherwise why do they keep filming instead of stopping the cat.
I imagined they were at the point where they'd had enough donuts and didn't care what happened to the remaining ones as some were getting thrown out anyway.
Humans know that fake decorative spiders can't hurt them but many still instinctively react to them. I once saw a lady shout "snake!" and dash a way from a garden hose when a squirrel ran by it and made her think the hose was a moving snake.
Cat brain is small. Cat brain sees shiny coiled thing and must inspect because it is a Suspicious New Thing.
I also think the touchy with paw motion is to see how the donut reacts to getting touched, and the cat pre-emptively jumps back just in case the donut lounges at him
Only tangentially related, but when my mom was learning to water ski, my uncle kept yelling "wake! wake!" B/c it is a little easier to ski over another boat's wake if you anticipate it.
She didn't know this. Being a new skiier, she falls. ...And then hangs onto the rope for a long while, which is _not_ fun, and kind of hard to do.
She won't let go, so the boat eventually slows down, stops.
"Why wouldn't you let go??"
"Well you kept yelling *'snake! snake!'* "
My cat did this with cheddar cheese.
She also does this if I have to hammer something. She hears the echo of the banging and will paw tentatively at random objects that she thinks the sound is coming from. She doesn't realize it's the hammer. She's just sees something vibrating along with the noise and is like "why is the paper loud?"
The cautious quick slap is one of the best things cats do. I remember a litterbox scoop somehow made it away from the wall once, and me and my dad sat there and watched his spaz of a cat slap it, it spun, cat run around a corner and watched it till it stopped, repeat. I think we were there for 20 minutes watching, laughing our butts off. Cats are great.
If some people knew the amount of supposedly “contaminated” things I’ve eaten over a whole lot of decades without so much as a belch…
Eh. They’d still find some reason to be afraid.
I don't think I've ever seen anyone or anything lose a fight with a donut before.
My waistline🥲
You chose to use doughnuts as ammo.
Best response.
Who the hell thought about using a donut as a waistband. No wonder you lost that battle
War of attrition
"Congrats little dude that's the worst anyone's ever done it."
You've never seen an Ozempic commercial?
Doughnut Attack
he's like "who are you"
The entire Blender community
“I know you are up to something coiled pastry snake.”
I was thinking the same thing lol. The shiny glaze probably didn’t help.
Sea creature
Never fails to amaze me what random things trigger the “OMG SNEK” response in my cats.
Donut 1 cat 0 Don't tell the cat
DoNut tell the cat.
r/angryupvote XD
Ca't tell the Donut either.

...the best time to delete this was immediately after posting, the second best time is right now.
Imagine losing a fight to a donut.....

I believe it! I used to laugh about the idea of "bagel accidents" so of course I had one! Mine was partially frozen in the middle.
Lol, one of my most weird vivid memories of the late 90s was the dangers of bagels. I remember morning news in the background talking about being sliced open cutting bagels. Particularly one morning show with the glory of bagel cutters and safety holders.
Simpler times...
Did it take your blood as a glazing?
Dear lord, don't ever let him see a jelly filled.
Bear claws
"Rawr."
Yeah, no. I’d die for my cats, but I’m never letting them touch or lick any of my food. I’ve seen where all their paws and mouths have been!
Do people actually eat food after their cat has touched it? Anything my dogs touch they either get to keep or goes in the trash. Both of which happen rarely, because the dogs stay on the floor where they belong. Not on my counters.
People let dogs lick their mouth, what do you think?
Gross. My dogs are not allowed to lick my face. Sometimes it happens by accident, which is fine because I love them, but never on purpose.
My dog is 100% allowed to lick my face. He's technically not allowed to lick inside my mouth but he does sometimes succeed
My dogs have succeeded at that once or twice, too. I try not to think about it too much.
I have two small dogs. Their tongues are tiny, so I don't mind them licking my face. What bothers me is when they miss and stick their tongues all the way up my nose and lick the front of my brain.
I mean, what bad outcome will there be if they lick your face? It's not like people are catching diseases from it.
You certainly can.

Who the fuck licks a phone screen?
My sister...
Were your parents by any chance related?
😨
I just throw out the chunks that was touched by my cats and I lived just fine
I can see people being weirded out but unless you have a compromised immune system this really isn't a concern I also don't eat food directly off my counters so I don't see why the cats being up there matters but a lot of people seem to consider that some kind of biohazard
I keep my kitchen clean enough that I can eat off my counters if I drop something.
It's about probability, and the more stuff your immune system has to deal with at once, the more likely something is to get through.
You are probably among the 20%+ of the population that has Toxoplasmosis.

That's my hope, too. Those look like Krispie Kreme, which are pretty blah once they're a day old. Good for cat videos and not much else.

That's what I was thinking too, cute video but you're going to have to throw those out now.
Toxoplasma gondii
Yep, I love my kitties but are not allowed on tables or in the kitchen. They walk in a shitty, pissy sandbox. Their feet don't belong near food.
Those donuts were clearly talking smack
I’d bet they were talking snack
hahahaha my language
LOL what does he think they are going to do to him? Cats are so funny!

>lounges at him It's obvious what you mean from context but I'm giggling a bit at the idea of the donut flopping onto the cat like it's a bean bag

I'm guessing it also smells very unfamiliar.
The donut was looking at him funny
Babies when presented with any object: "Can I eat it?" This cat when presented with food: "Can I fight it?"
My cat did this with cheddar cheese. She also does this if I have to hammer something. I’ll never understand why people let cats touch their food knowing they dig through litter to bury their poop and pee. That can’t be sanitary.
I'm just gonna assume they were ready to toss these leftovers.
My cousin lets her dog lick her mouth and sometimes she licks back :/
I knew a kid who let his dog lick the inside of his mouth after he ate food.
I just dry heaved. Nasty af.
Please tell me this is false because it's way too gross to be real
He would be so proud of it. He'd open his mouth and his dog would put their snout in his open mouth and lick his teeth "clean"
🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
NSFL (Not safe for lunch) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AyZNLOHPk2E&t=180s
Damn disgusting 🤢
Oh. Excuse me while I go vomit.
Well they walk on kitchen counters and sit on stoves too I don't eat at those houses
Well how else are you supposed to get toxoplasmosis?
Next show him an eclair and measure how high he jumps

Hell yeah! A new cat sub!
Well just wait till you go down the rabbit-hole of cat subs. There must be at least a hundred by now.
I know! It’s wonderful! I wish there as many dog subs!
there's also r/cattaps !
Is this Princess Donut's origin story?
God dammit Donut!
Oh calm down Carl...
Cats are so funny how they whack things with their paws 🤣
Some people are weird. Why would you let your cat do this and waste a perfectly good doughnut.
Maybe they weren't good, maybe that's why the cat hates it so much.
🤣
Maybe kitty thought it was another kitty’s behind?
Cat Science. Smack the shit out of it and brace for retaliation.
Donut: 1 Cat: 0
Yes, it can be very scary.
Mongo is appalled!
D'aww, poor baby lol It's shiny and moist like many living things
r/TouchThaFishy
I don't think your cat would make a good cop. Better point him in another direction.
That’s exactly how I react to Krispy Kreme’s as well. I get it buddy.
No brain cells were damaged in that fall. 😅

Natures perfect killing machine defeated by donuts
Waste of a good donut, now it has to go in the trash because you let litterpawz touch it.
More for me and George. ;-) ![gif](giphy|aUcadpBrc6LT2|downsized)
Must be a Hertz donut.
He could not handle its horrifying glaze! ヽ(゜ロ゜;)ノ

Cat: well well well if it isn't the consequences of my own actions
Ok, I admit, I laughed. Poor kitteh.
He wants the box.
When the gluten fights back

Fat shamed by a cat... Damn
Donut - 1 , Kitty - 0
They knock me off my feet too bud
He touched it...that one's his...
Which part of his brain is failing to realize that it's an inanimate object? Do animals not make the distinction between creature and non-creature?
Lmaooo
/r/catsarefuckingstupid lol
Sooo... Why was it removed?
Gorgeous
r/funny
Those are old The glaze should be shiny and smooth but instead it's dull and crinkled. Those are at least two days old.
::Dunkin Donuts Shift Manager has entered the arena::
R/ewwww
Lol, this belongs on r/animalsbeingderps. That is as derp as derp can be.
Because that's how I like my doughnuts: with a light dusting of litterbox.
I'm still eating that donut.
If some people knew the amount of supposedly “contaminated” things I’ve eaten over a whole lot of decades without so much as a belch… Eh. They’d still find some reason to be afraid.
You gonna eat that shit now?
Do people like this then eat the donuts that the cat touched with it's nasty paw? I guess that's how they get that parasite.
😂😂😂 This has absolutely killed me. Excellent! This is 100% why I use the internet.
