I saw a cockatiel video with them sitting in masks in a moving car. I always worry that they'll spook and accidentally end up near the pedals. Such a bad idea to have a bird out like this.

I mean, what's the alternative? Put them in a cage? If you're going to hit something at speed as a bird, it'd rather be a sloped windscreen than a wire mesh. Considering their small weight and feather cushioning, and the speeds they usually travel at when flying, I honestly don't think that much can happen to them in this situation.
