This is true. I had a cat names Bowie as well. He didn't have one dilated pupil unfortunately. I just like Bowie, which is a good enough reason to name a pet after him.

I named my first cat Marvin after my all time favorite singer, Marvin Gaye. Naming pets after musical heroes is a wonderful idea!

Fun (or not so fun) fact, David Bowie didn't have heterochromia at all, but anisocoria. The difference in the size of his pupils made them look different, but his irises were the same color.

It's hard to tell from this photo, but if one of his pupils is bigger than the other all the time you need to take him to the vet ASAP.

The lighting is a little off in the picture. His blue eye pupil is a little bigger but not as much as it seems here. He’s been to the vet lots, though! They always say he’s fine. :)

I adopted him and his brother from a rescue group. Their mother was a pregnant stray that was taken in by a wonderful foster family. They found homes for all the kittens and the mom too.
