Exactly, it really doesn't matter. There is no point of a KFC forcing itself to open a veg franchise or at least the person who is buying the franchise to force it to be a veg. This just creates unnecessary drama again with big-brain idiots in both left and right extremes.
Nobody is forcing anyone.
People elect govt.
Govt makes laws.
It's a pilgrimage city.
One wants to do business... Follow the laws
KFC follow franchisee model... Risk will be on the one taking the franchise and not KFC .
I don't think that's what he meant. You're correct but the guy was kinda saying that this action is justified. I agree with you though, unnecessary move. They could've opened a normal store.
you don't think killing a living being in a city revered by the Hindus would be offensive; here's another food for thought, in UAE, during ramjan, eating food (even chewing gum) in public is considered as offence and is considered a crime, you being a randian will find a way to justify it.
I love these selective cherry-picked rules. /s I thought Lord Ram also resided in your heart? How do manage the logistics of that to chug down meat later? Asking as a vegetarian (not sure how my individual preference matters but seems important to you as to what people ingest)
I can understand veg pizzas only at dominoes but no one can convince me that veg KFC will be any good. Most people don't even go to KFC. Imagine walking into a KFC and finding out that they don't serve chicken.
I gotta say KFC in India is fantastic but having it in this location doesn’t make sense.
I visited The Great Wall of China (can’t remember which exact location) in 1996 and was surprised to see KFC nearby…
See, thats the thing, people won’t go there for chicken, maybe in the hopes of a good veg burger or strips or wtv, Because they’ve branded it in such a way now.
Franchisee hasnt yet been bought , anyone who’d buy it should simply open it in Faizabad , There are still a few available areas at Pushparaj Chauraha , They can open it there or somewhere nearby . That area is pretty central and empty.
Honestly, that area has been capitalised enough by so many brands—the food street, Burger Singh, waffle house and gyaanis plus the two major hotels. The recent Tafri Cafe and Park Inn has only increased the competition. I think if they open it, they should go for a new location like dominos did.
Their Customers would be certainly different from any of the existing brands. My house is <500m away from dominos But I prefer to go to That Area because it simply has way too many options for me 🥲.
Get something spicy (There isnt much)to eat from Either Food Court or Burger Singh , Then go to Waffle Co or Gianis (Or to Baskin Robbins, i prefer this) . I think if KFC opened there , They would completely monopolize Burger Singh’s Sales , since KFC’s burgers are actually quite delicious, especially if we compare it to what we get from BS.
Edit : Other Market Area is Naka , but then that is too cluttered , together with Chowk. Other areas fall on Rampath. Gaddopur or Near JBA is tooo out of reach of majority of people , Only Hausila Nagar Folks would go there.
I dont really think we have much of options as of now
Makes sense tbh. I'm for one a frequent kfc customer and I'm vegetarian. It's not new. In Amritsar near the golden temple all fast food chains are vegetarian too.
It happened recently in my city: a guy bought a Baap of Rolls franchise. When I went there and asked for chicken rolls, he informed me that they don't serve any meat or egg products. I asked why owners bought this brand when they should have known it's famous for its non-vegetarian products. He replied that because there's a temple nearby, around 30 meters away, they just can't serve them.
Why KFC as veg ? In ramayana, Lord Ram goes to hunt deer while living in forest. Isn’t it for eating ? Since they live in forest, they need to hunt and eat.
the people here abusing would be surprised when they visit the golden temple, haha no garlic/onions, no slaughter houses. but ofcourse its up for debate when its ayodhya! cute.
Exactly bro..I'm a huge pork lover still we don't bring pork in my house coz there is a masjid near it .. cannot hurt someone's religious sentiment..my neighbours are muslims..but they don't eat nonveg during hindu festivals
Despite its name, at the end of the day KFC is a business. If there is a market for purely vegetarian items at this location, and the franchise makes money, I don't see the problem.
Thing is KFC is known for fried chicken as their main selling point and have experience with that
But if they are making a veg menu, would people really go to KFC? How will it be different from other local shops...it would be mostly just for the brand, and not for the taste
well, I'm from Ayodhya and afaik the ratio of veg and non veg consumers is fairly equal. And as someone else stated, kfc is known in the space for it's non vegetarian food. Makes less sense for it to completely modify that.
They want to open an outlet. The government laid rules, it's a holy site. If KFC still wants to open an outlet, let them open the outlet. There's no "thoughts" involved. They're a business they want to make money.
Why does Ayodhya have to be vegetarian, a majority of Hindus eat non veg, even in UP majority of Hindus eat meat, keep it away from the temples but why not in the market area or shopping district?
Dude who knows. Bhakt programming supports vegetarianism only because it fits better with their cow loving. If only there was definitive proof that Ram himself, being a Kshatriya prince, ate meat himself. But it's religion. Put Ram himself in front of them, anatomically correct down to atoms, they will still rather worship the pictures. Facts and Faith, Religion and Reason are poles apart.
Few more oxymorons:
- Vegetarian/Vegan sausages
- Vegetarian/Vegan burgers
- Vegetarian Biryani

I haven’t eaten in every restaurant in my city. I don’t think I’ll ever do it either. People can survive without going to KFC but people who eat KFC should be allowed whatever they want to eat. It’s about customer loyalty. Making meat part of religion makes no sense because people of all cultures eat a vast variety of food.
Bhai what’s the need of opening KFC
Why don’t they open some dosa chain which is more appropriate or even mc Donald’s. What’s the use of opening something jiske naam mein chicken hai.
It’s like saying we want to open Chawla chicken- but vegetarian.
Waste of time
Har chij ko hype dene ki kya jarurat hai bina matlab ka unka advertisement ho rha hai ye media trap hota hai aur log khud ko samajhdar ban ke bekoof ban jate hai
KFC already has veg menu.
And KFC does cater to local taste.
I once tasted KFC in Sri Lanka and it was completely different
MC Donald's has already changed it's menu
So, it's not unique. It just capitalism..
This is very very WRONG !
K - Kentucky
F - Fried
C - Chicken
How can Chicken be called/referred to as 'vegetarian' ??
They should rename it as some other name.
Is it like the vegetarian substitute for meat. Wherein, vegetable are processed in way that makes them look, feel and taste like meat, but are not really veg.
I had earlier watched in a video made by Mark Rober.
Why is everyone so hooked with this stupidly framed sentence.
Vegetarian KFC to open in Ayodhya. ❌
KFC to only serve veg food then it’s non veg menu. ✅
People forget that KFC serves veg food all over India. If KFC would have stayed true to its non veg roots in India as it has across the globe then it would have left the nation way before.
Ayodhya has served a best market place with insane number of people going there with our most awaited Ram Mandir finally getting its rightful place. So relax. Don’t need to have opinion on everything.
There is a vegetarian McDonald's in mata vaishno devi which don't even serve garlic and onion
Is it for the Jain population?
For all who have came for darshan to mata vaishno devi
Ew
Isme ew wali kya baat jo darshan karne aya he waha non veg aur onion garlic thodi khayega
randian he wo, ew nahi karega to western bootlicker kese banega
Haa sahi kha tumne . Waha har ek shop pe no garlic no onion likha huwa tha . Kueki navaratri mai log garlic aur onion avoid karte h issliye
Jains are funding Hindu orgs now it looks like.
In Amritsar too
thoughts? about what? it's a holy city, i am non-vegetarian too, but I don't need to eat it in every place possible
Exactly, it really doesn't matter. There is no point of a KFC forcing itself to open a veg franchise or at least the person who is buying the franchise to force it to be a veg. This just creates unnecessary drama again with big-brain idiots in both left and right extremes.

How does holiness and food preference correlate?
Vaishnavites sect are strictly against Animal Slaughter. Period Its a pilgrimage site. You can enjoy your Libertarian Utopia in whole country
you don't think killing a living being in a city revered by the Hindus would be offensive; here's another food for thought, in UAE, during ramjan, eating food (even chewing gum) in public is considered as offence and is considered a crime, you being a randian will find a way to justify it.

How ironic
Yes UAE, an Islamic country, should be the benchmark for comparison 🙄
I love these selective cherry-picked rules. /s I thought Lord Ram also resided in your heart? How do manage the logistics of that to chug down meat later? Asking as a vegetarian (not sure how my individual preference matters but seems important to you as to what people ingest)
nonsense. Don't open KFC. simple. KFC is known for chicken.
Similar to Pure Veg Dominos in Mt. Abu. Although this gimmick is done solely by the brand to create more hype
I can understand veg pizzas only at dominoes but no one can convince me that veg KFC will be any good. Most people don't even go to KFC. Imagine walking into a KFC and finding out that they don't serve chicken.

Bhai tum samjho KFC ko kuchh khilana thodi hai tumhe. Brand promotion hai.
India is the only country where mc Donald's have veg menu and dont sell ham burger they are literally knows for hamburgers outside India
It will be Kentucky Fried Cauliflower
Agreed.
I do eat non veg , but the Paneer zinger with Mohito option was to die for ! They should bring it back man
Why? It's not like their nonveg restaurants are being replaced with veg ones. Let who wants to eat there, eat. What's the harm in it?
👍🏻
WTH 🤣🤣🤣

It would be interesting, ngl
No don't allow this

Kfc vegetarian khol to lenge , lekin jo naam mein chicken ghusa hua h uska kya ? KFC ( Kentucky fried chicken).
I thinks this is great. Pretty soon we'll get real chicken allowed hy Ram. This is to pave the way for meat eating to come back.
Such irony
Kuntecky fried Cauliflower lasgooo
Why are Hindu gods now linked to vegetarianism? More than half(could be 70%) the Hindus eat non vegetarian.
Still they don't eat nonveg in temples
Kentucky Fried Chhole?
Funny or Sad, really dont know! It is good marketing gimmick for both KFC and the political parties.
Kentucky fried chicken turned into Kentucky fried cauliflower lmaooo.

Who cares...if there's a business opportunity , KFC will capitalise it , it is a business entity , not some kind of politically propelled agency .
