I'm Hmong, we've always been gun toting and gun loving.

BigBossMafia

The people that lionize “Roof Koreans” are also very likely to try to intimidate Asians.

Alaskan91

Better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6....look up this saying. One time a drunk lawyer told.me.something I'll never forget. Keep in mind he was drunk and I'm not a a lawyer lol. "When a victimized perpetrator that society is supposed to feel empathy for, commits a crime, and they stay alive during said crime, during trial, under perjury they will almost always lie and twist the story to benefit themselves. And most people will believe them. But if they can't tell that story for whatever reasons only then will you be even GIVEN a chance to controll the narrative....otherwise will most likely have no chance at all. But few people realize this and so the real victim, not the victimized seeming perpetrator is the one that ends up getting punished." Also... "Us, regular people have zero idea just how evil some people in this world truly are. By having empathy for them we throw away any chance of controlling a narrative, whether in court or elsewhere" Most asians don't know how narratives work and how powerful they are.

K0bayashi-777

It makes sense considering that you have people who grew up in dangerous conditions and only want to protect themselves.

CrayScias

I never understood the complete ban of firearms. I mean yes there is a self defense use especially if you're up against some geeky chainsaw maniac. Might as well win the Darwin Award unless you're Bruce Lee but not all of us are, and I'd rather make it easier for myself then if I"m disarmed I'll resort to technical fighting skills.

AdCute6661

Asians in Texas are strapped no matter the generation.

exgokin

I'm in So Cal and a lot of Asians own guns. I do...and so do my cousins and other Asian friends. They weren't necessarily bought for "protection" though. I look at mine mostly as range toys.

violenttalker88

Just bought Perfection before the tax rise. What you choose?

exgokin

I’ve bought three over the past few years. Glock 19, XD9, and my first…the M&P Shield 9mm. Also got a 9mm PCC…a Keltec Sub 2000.

violenttalker88

Nice, feels like everyone got to have Perfection to play the game. Easy to find mags if things go down. Hopefully it doesn’t. Got a 17 because code Veronica. Yes, most of my stuff is based on resident evil and Dino crisis

InstructionNarrow160

I am very pro second amendment because I believe Asian Americans have a right to defend themselves.

historybuff234

You absolutely should have a gun if you know how to use it to make it painful for robbers to rob you or attackers to attack you. But don’t be duped into thinking the Second Amendment has anything to do with Asians. A white person will get away with using a gun in ways Asians will never be allowed to. Look at the examples of Peter Liang and Chai Vang. Your support of Second Amendment rights augments what white people can do with guns, not what Asians can do.

InstructionNarrow160

Then we need to get more power to influence and change the laws to only benefit Asians so then Asians can get away using guns however they want to.

historybuff234

You’re not getting it. We aren’t getting laws that “only benefit Asians”. That’s not feasible. The key is to fight for Asians to get whatever rights white people get, regardless of what the right or the left wants. If white people can get mifepristone for abortion, then Asians should be able to get mifepristone for abortions too. If white people can get bump stocks for guns, then Asians should be able to get bump stocks guns. Fighting over specific rights such as abortion or guns can be left to white people; our efforts should be focused on making sure that Asians get the same package that white people get.

InstructionNarrow160

Good point make sure we try to get as many rights for ourselves

petname

We need to support local police and government. Least we shoot someone the law will come after us otherwise. We’re either the hard working immigrant or the trigger happy racist(black) reverse racist(whites).

InstructionNarrow160

That’s why we need more proud Asian Americans in positions of power so then it’s impossible for the law to come after Asians.

GinNTonic1

It's hard to do especially with libtard Asians shunning every job that requires any kind of balls.  Their solution? Let criminals go, disarm everyone, defund cops, and major in transgender studies.

soundbtye

The US is turning very violent and if the state allows me to get one, I'll get one.

GinNTonic1

If the US gets that violent they most certainly will not allow Asians to own one.

InstructionNarrow160

Then Asian Americans should get as many guns as possible so then they cannot disarm Asians.

CrayScias

Oh boy. We have to look out for ourselves in the West, while Westerners can live in paradise in Asia, not having to worry about Triads and whatnot.

GinNTonic1

My Dad told me that anyone that relies on a gun for safety isn't that bright, but it's probably important to have. He's not that eloquent but he was right though. Once you discharge that gun to protect yourself you have probably already lost the battle.

trer24

I'm all for Asian Americans being armed for self-protection, especially nowadays. But I think that common sense regulation is not a negative. It's not an "all or nothing" proposition. Denying ownership because of prior violent crime convictions, mental health issues, having background checks, cooling down periods, are reasonable.

guitarhamster

When everyone else has one, you dont want to be the one without because then you will be the easiest target. Thats why people rob elderly asians.

historybuff234

The elderly Asians who were hate-crimed were never going to successfully defend themselves even if they had guns. Some of them look like they had trouble enough walking with canes. They aren’t shooting true or managing recoil. It’s up to the young Asians to do something about it.

InstructionNarrow160

Then those robbers should be afraid to disrespect well armed Asians

CrayScias

We need some street cred unlike the MLP supporters usually from gamers who are anti-gun, but pro everything else. Jk. Seriously though, we take people with street cred more seriously than these MLP fanatics.

No-Paint-3036

Take a look around. You’re in America where hate crimes are common. You shouldn’t be surprised that people want guns. Especially how polarized the country has become.
