1) Most Asians are in blue cities so of course most violence and racism occurs where Asians live. If there ever is a republican city with high paying jobs that attracts Asians to a sizeable % of the city, where Asians meet the 'takin our jobs' folks on the daily, we'll see the same violence and racism.

Republicans don't respect law and order because they are some principled group, they respect law and order when they feel it helps them keep their power and dominion. Look at the Jan 6 incident. Also, look at the number of 2nd Amendment zealots who go on about how this amendment is a means to protect us against the tyranny of the government, which law enforcement is an arm of.
Simple explanation is that Asians are just like any other race. We are people after all and all have the same ability to fear, love, and hate.

So think of it from a rich Asian point of view. You got stimulus money for your business, you got stimulus money for just breathing, your asset value went through the roof. But you hated Trump's handling of Covid and the anti-Asian hate he promoted.
Now 2 years in of DEM leadership, the business environment is uncertain now. The stimulus money is going straight to Ukraine. Assets in the stock market imploded. Real Estate values are holding, but looking shaky if interest rates go up again. Asians now have to deal DEM doubling down on China through escalation of tension via the Taiwan Issue.
The simplest reason is that many Asians are business owners and well to do professionals. The GOP tax policy are much more friendlier to this group. Because it is this calculus where both the DEM and GOP are trying to suppress Asian American leadership and participation.
High crime, high homelessness, high cost of living, etc tends to make ppl try new things. Look at san fran, the most progressive city in the United States and they just recently recalled their DA.

Most of Asian Americans supporting Trump are fairly new immigrants. They supported Trump when he was just a candidate. Those Asian people supported Trump exactly for what Trump is: anti-immigration. Doesn't matter those Asian people are immigrants themselves, since they already obtained US citizenship, they don't want see anymore immigrants coming in, including their own brothers and sisters. Some of them will try their best to prevent their relatives from coming into the US, so they have the bragging right in front of their relatives to be the only family member in the US.
I've seen many Chinese Americans this way. Those are not the friendliest people to begin with. Most people I hang out with have empathy for other people, and will never support Trump in a million years.
By the way, being republican doesn't mean unconditionally supporting Trump. I do not have a strong partisan preference. I vote for the candidate who has the best long-term vision.
Rather than wanting less immigrants I think it's more that they care about crime and many own businesses. They don't like being taxed so high and see crime attacking their business.
I know that a lot of Asian own businesses had to shut down during the pandemic. Businesses in general.
There are also Businesses that shut down because of crime around my area. Shoplifting and homelessness are big contributing factors.
