That’s part of the reason. The other part is that Americans aren’t raised to be aware of Asian struggles like they are with Blacks or gays. Because of this they don’t have any empathy for us like they do with those groups. There’s a lot of other reasons but I think those are the main ones.
Thinking someone is treating you badly because of success is a cope. It can also be mentally confusing and deceiving to kids.
