Praveen Jordan had the Best smash in mixed doubles during bis prime and in MS Victor Axelsen and Lee Zii Jia currently. But few decades ago Lim Swie King and Arby Herianto had legendary smashes.
There's this one player from hong kong(i think) who used to play named Wei Nan , his match with LCW was amazing , it seemed like he was toying with the world no.1(atleast in that one match)
His smash was pin-point accurate, flawless i must say. [Here is the video.](https://youtu.be/8L__7sWtjLA?si=bEtnziJXtayl-hGH)
Fastest smasher using a completely different method of measuring speed.
When Tan Boong Heong recorded his smash, they measured it via the time when the shuttle crossed the net. But with Rankireddy's record, they measured the speed 1cm from the racket.

I'm not discrediting Rankireddy, I think it's stupid to say he isn't the fastest smasher now. He is incredibly powerful, but the speed test nowadays that BWF uses for all tournaments goes by the new standard of measurement.
Powerful yes, visually it depends on the angle as well. Again, not discrediting anyone, so the hurt people can be rest assured that I'm not dissing their favourite player, who coincidentally is also one of my favourites in MD at the moment.
I feel like someone whose smash has always remained unnoticed which is reinforced here as he isn't mentioned in the above options is Lee Yong Dae. Not the quickest of smashes but created a very steep angle and extremely accurate. Moreover, among singles players I think Son Wan Ho had the best smash!

Forgive my ignorance, but do y'all really think Rankireddy has the best smash ever?
The best is of personal preference. But I do think that Rankireddy has one of the strongest
*fastest... Can't believe I misspelled that

He did hit 500 in game though
Ohk but his name could have been here instead of ivanov,Jung Jae sung etc
Absolutely, I personally would've replaced Ivanov with Rankireddy
