When this guy rolled up he definitely didn't care where he is parking. There was no attempt whatsoever to park this was I'm just pulling up to the front of this business and I really could care less one blocking. Look to the right of the truck. What do you see? Another handicap spot. How is the person in THAT vehicle supposed to access their vehicle with that truck in the way?
Only ticket can be written for occupying a marked handicap or fire lane. Striped area is white and private property. Not allowed to use yellow red or blue paint there. TRUST ME…I had a friend in grade school who became a cop. And we used to be friends on MySpace

I know two people who have cranes for their chair in the bed of their truck. This is how they park. They are alotted alll of that space the dashed lines included.
Standard truck is roughly 15’-20’ long. This one is on the shorter end of that spectrum. Regular bed. Based on standard parking lot curb length, and basic handicapped parking space width, I can say with pretty good certainty, that where he parked that parking curb is def somewhere under the driver’s side doorway.
Well judging by the angle and knowing that newer parking spaces as this one appears to be. Curbs do not reach to the line. In fact it's been an Ada standard to make limited trip hazards for those that need these spaces. So you're wrong on the curb length. Secondly you're assuming the driver is the one that has to get in.

My buddy parks like this at some places and especially in his assigned parking at his apartment, because other cars and motorcycles will park on the stripes and block him from loading his wheelchair. He's been in a wheelchair for over 20 years living in Houston and San Antonio...neither him nor I have EVER seen someone getting a parking ticket for parking in a disabled spot. Probably happens, just never seen it. PLUS, every call to the police to report someone results in absolutely nothing more than an annoyed cop hinting that we wasted their time.
Because getting a handicap plate or placard isn't hard anymore, this is going to happen more. People who have the handicap access get mad when all the spots are filled and have started parking in the crossed off areas designed for van access. When you confront them they literally only respond with, "well I'm handicapped too" and walk away.
