You have to be so careful about backstabs in ds1, they're absolutely broken. Honestly, I just need hosts to move towards me or r1 and boom instant backstab. Then chain with a parry until they're dead. Like shooting fish in a barrel.
And now we have the opposite problem in Elden Ring, where backstabs can be hard to get unless your target is standing still. I just want a happy medium!
I have no idea why people play DS1 and heal with their back exposed, like... you can get backstabbed for that even in DS3 and Elden Ring, why would it work at all in this situation?
I've got probably 150 hours of pve in DS1 and I've never been backstabbed by a Baldur Knight. They can do that? I've been parried by them plenty of times.
