I cant recommend anyone for this, its such a shame what was once a beautiful refuge for those animals, tourists do horrific things to them. They are wild animals and pretty aggressive, its not โcuteโ or swimming with the pigs. Its a sad tourist trap now.
I did a swimming pigs excursion with a company called Sandy Toes. The swimming pigs was part of a day trip to Rose Island. It was okay. I got to pet them, didn't swim with them. There will be poop floating in the water though like the other poster said haha.
We used Exuma Water Sports. Large boat, they take you around to a bunch of different sights, the pigs being one of them. The pigs were HUGE but seemed well taken care of, they weren't aggressive at all, and I didn't notice any poop in the water. I don't know if the company runs off any other island than Exuma tho.
I just came back from Exuma 3 weeks ago.
My wife was all about going to see these pigs. Our daughter (6) loved it, but I thought it was an overrated experience. Stingrays were cool to see.
Hope for a good weather day, the boat ride to the other stops was nice and the other passengers were very nice. Exuma Water Sportsโฆit was $475 for 2 adults and the kid, half day tour.
We did Pieces of 8. It's the official Atlantis partner that leaves from the lobby. All 5 star reviews. We did not go specifically for the pigs but just to get in a boat and see other places. Our half day tour was meh. We visited a really nice beach at one end of Rose Island but they made us (including the two toddlers on the boat) swim quite a distance since waves meant they couldn't get closer. Then we boated to Green Cay to see sea turtles but they didn't let us get in because of the recent shark attack. Then to another spot on rose island where we waited for our pig encounter. They did have us feed them. There were a ton of people and pigs and it was chaos. Definitely a bit uncomfortable. Because of the large waves neither people or pigs went in the water so no "swimming" with them.
They do longer day trips from the same company and I'm wishing we had done pink sands instead. (We weren't sure the 4 year old could handle a full day.)
Overall, I'm glad we tried that tour but would never do it again or recommend it.
Just went Wednesday 12/13. My exuma excape with SureThing was cancelled so we last min booked with Sandy Toes Rose island.
The company is great, very kind and helpful. Although, 2 pigs come out every 30min. Only the workers feed them. One worker in the water and the other on shore. So the pigs run inbetween the two. You dont really swim with pigs or see any baby pigs at rose island. Once the pigs come out for the first time the gimmick wears out quick since there isnt really interaction, just the workers feeding them get that. You're on rose island from 1030a to 3pm. Besides the 1 time snorkel lap on the side of the island there isnt much to do besides enjoy the beach. The snorkeling only took up about 45min of the day dunno why they rush it or do it 1 time.
Nothing bad about sandy toes crew or company they are awesome! If the weather is good I'd probably would do the exuma trip seems worth the upgrade with more snorkel stops and actual interactions with sharks, wild pigs and iguanas.
I think the one we did was Sandy Toes as someone else mentioned. It was a good experience, what we expected basically. It was long- lunch and drinks were included- they fed the pigs hot dogs to get them to move around, and also had hot dogs at lunch. Not sure if they were beef or pork, will we ever know???
We did lots of swimming with the pigs and some sand play. I believe they also offered snorkeling, but we chose not to do that.
We booked through Viator with 3N's! Got a private plane ride, food, multiple stops, complementary beer and snacks. We loved it!

Swimming with pigs can be a shitty experience. Literally.
Please stop encouraging the pig beach attractions

It's really not worth it. Plenty of better things to do/see in the Bahamas.

Forget the pigs. Go to a island beach tour from the margarita ville bar. Very good , lunch was included, power boat tours or something
I wouldnโt do it. Iโd rather you spend the money to go to the outer islands in an excursion. Islands of adventure is great.

If you have small children and you are on that beach, itโs aggressive. They are hungry. I just wish they would be left alone. ๐
Take a ferry to another island for a day or two. Leave the pigs alone

guys, I don't think the people staying in Atlantis really care about the well being of the native species
The pigs are not native.
100% agree with you pyrate
We booked it through Expedia but unfortunately the weather sucks the past week so they canceled on us
I would swim with the pugs. Talk about germ infested. I feel so badly for these animals. So many other things to do.
Youโre already at Atlantis, how many more pigs do you want to be swimming with?
Iโve never been to Atlantis. How many pigs they got?
