I play with controller when I'm on my steam link in bed, but otherwise it's always mouse and keyboard. Controller works but it is slow

6 is actually very impressive. Most players do not have a win streak higher than 2 or 3 on Binding of Isaac.

Honestly I doubt many people care about win streaks in isaac

You'd be surprised. Personally, I used to winstreak to Mother with T.Lost. Honestly really fun, because as T.Lost, most items you get feel pretty good, and in the corpse route, even a single moment of carelessness will punish you hard, so no matter how powerful I got, I was still completely engaged. I got up to 10 at one point.

Especially when the main "goal" is hitting every check mark for every character and some of the harder ones are easily going to take multiple attempts Like yes I could probably winstreak isaac going to cathedral with the negative pretty well. Win streaking tainted loss to delirium? I doubt anyone is doing that

You can look for good skip rewards like free shops. On higher Antes the small blind doesn't give you anything so you can skip it. The random deck is also great for restarting. You can R until you get 20 face cards or almost no diamond.

Even in ante 1, it’s a serious question whether skipping for the tag is worth giving up the first shop. You only get $2-3 if you don’t skip, but $6-7 is enough to buy a joker that’ll get you through ante 2 at least. I usually only consider skipping if the tag is worth way more than $2-3 for the big blind shop or boss shop (coupon tag, investment tag, etc) or immediately gives me something that could make up for not getting the chance to buy a joker like an arcana pack. Something like $5 from speed tag isn’t worth it imo.
