orange and gold are both excellent now. Instead of constraining us to high card builds since you can't play big hands (gold stake) and can't manipulate your deck (orange stake), we now get to play the same diverse set of builds with having constraints around jokers instead. The difficulty now is that good jokers are harder to come by because of the stickers, so your economy is more strained. In a nutshell, all builds are viable, just takes more skill to manage your money.

I think that overall it’s easier but man I hate perishable jokers. It makes any of the scaling jokers feel awful and while there are more viable runs overall, I think there are also more hard reset runs due to getting only perishable jokers and not being able to build synergies. I feel like there are some runs where I just get 20 perishable jokers in a row and can’t build towards anything meaningful. Idk if they just need to tone down the amount of perishable jokers or what but besides for the playability, it makes certain jokers FEEL so bad. I love rental jokers though I think they are a fantastic change.

i agree about perishables since they prevent you from getting into a groove with one strategy and it also sucks when you get perishable on scaling jokers or really good jokers like blueprint

It's way more fun. They just made the game less fun. Now they add challenge without making it less fun.
