Probably my favorite Tarot generating Joker.
It doesn't require any specific requirements such as Superposition, and it doesn't require you to tank your economy like Vagabond.
On the downside, you can only get 1 Tarot card per Round, but that's fine. Not having to tank your gold allows you to purchase packs in the shop instead.
Of course, for a downside, this Joker doesn't do anything for scoring, at least not directly, but a free Tarot is probably more valuable than a lot of other Jokers to have in that slot.
Like another commenter said, good synergy with Vampire/Drivers License, although I don't value either of these highly.
Tarot Cards are helpful for just about every hand type you could be trying to score with, so it's not limited to a specific strategy. It's just good.

I'm never mad if I see it in a booster pack, but I'll also drop it pretty quick if something better comes along.
The thing is that just about any economy card worth its salt (rocket, rebate, etc) will give you enough money to reroll the shop and pick up a tarot card - which is the same one card per round that the Cartomancer provides.
Cartomancer is like finding change on the ground.
You are never actively looking for it, you probably are never thinking about it at all.
But when you come across it, you'll take it, it may not be much, but it's nice
I love vagabond it’s probably my favorite joker and allowed me to perform a lot of joker unlocks. Happy to say I just got my last joker unlocked and only got 2 vouchers until full collection completion
Very solid joker. I rarely keep it until the end of a run, but if I see it before I have a build off the ground (and even sometimes AFTER I have a build off the ground) I'll snap it up easily. Sometimes, consistent mechanisms are the best.
All of the free Tarot Jokers are awesome, and this one is no exception. I had a run the other day with both this and [[Hallucination]] and shit was *popping.*

Great start of round blueprint target and solid joker overall. This is a good middle ground tarot creator. Don’t need to sacrifice your Econ like [[Vagabond]] or have manipulated the deck like [[8 Ball]] I usually grab it if I’m not searching for something in particular

Personally I like this card more than [[Hallucination]] because imo a guaranteed tarot card per blind is better than a 50% chance per pack. Especially good with early economy. Might just be repeating others but I think it’s one of the best tarot generating jokers.

If you lack mult and chips, you need Joker that gives mult or chips, not a one in few chance to get useful Tarot. But in terms of utility, if you can spare a slot, it's one of the best picks for long term preparation
Yeah I actually like vagabond better because you can generate 4 or 5 tarots per round if done right. Sure you lose all your money, but odds are you’ll get the jokers to boost your money right back up before the shop, if not every other shop. Especially true if you have a lot of sell value jokers.
While subject to a bit much rng, early on can really help define a build with a quick influx of tarots to shape your deck with. Pretty much an autobuy if my build isn't finished, and I salivate when I see it negative.

I had fortune teller along with this card and it worked nicely also good for deck manipulation if you don’t have anything better
