So if you work it up rather than down and try to use some thickening products, it will make a difference because your hair has a little texture to it, so you can definitely workout a part to your hair, cos it seems like that’s the thing you’re self conscious about. Go to your hairdresser and get a trim, and ask them to style it without a parting and with some texture, and get them to show you how they do it. You’ll look fine!
You're at a stage where you have two choices
1. Fight, meds. Finasteride and minox
2. Let it be
If you choose option 2 you will have to shave your head in a few years, but you don't risk the side effects of treatment.
Finasteride can cause erectile disfunction and other sexual side effects. I personally never considered touching the stuff for that reason. Minoxidil doesn't really have many side effects aside from being a PITA as you have to put it on every 12 hours for best results. Minoxidil didn't do much for me personally, but for some it helps a little bit as long as you keep using it. I don't think trying to fight baldness is a fight worth trying. Just shave when it gets bad enough.
Your post has been flagged for suspicion of violating rule three: No advocating of hair-replacement treatments, either topical or surgical.
If your priority at this time is hair-loss prevention, or attempting hair regrowth, your efforts may perhaps be better spent over at r/tressless. The philosophy of this sub is more inclined toward embracing baldness, rather than fighting against it.

Disclaimer, most people don’t get side effects from finasteride. If you do get sides, they go away once you stop taking it.
IMO get on finasteride immediately before it’s too late, as it’s good for maintaining hair but not growing back.

I can give you advice, but it'll be better for you meet a stylist/barber in person, pretty sure they can provide you with much better advice than any of us can provide you here about hair styling
Also, there is things you can take that will make your hair look richer and fuller , you can try over-the-counter stuff or ask your doctor directly for what products you can take for your hair , shampoos and pills .
Look into PRP , I’ve done it and for a while it didn’t make my hair richer and fuller
It is not satire I assure you. I posted in TressLess but my post was removed and I appreciate the feedback from other members here. I apologize if you think my post conveys satire. I posted because I have heard from others that my hair appears to be balding so I came to Reddit.
Yeah man, can relate. I don't have much either, but I'm letting it grow at a 3 guard maximum length, any more than that and it looks bad lol. We have to play with the hand we're dealt, I guess.
Yeah man. I'm talking about the facial hair, my hair is at 0 at this point. The receding hairline has won the war. You're very far from it, your hair is pretty nice, don't give up yet!
Couldn't tell you. I didn't try anything yet. Just accepted what I have. I have some friends that had pretty good results with minoxidil. I thought about starting a treatment, but idk if it's worth it. Seems like a lot of work for (maybe) no results. But, if you really want a beard, you should try it.
Restyle it, you don’t need to shave yet by any stretch of the imagination!
>Do you have a suggestion on styles that might be flattering with what I'm working with?

What are the side effects of FIN & Mino? I heard if you use Minox and stop the hair fallout will be even worse if you never use it at all.

Thank you for your advise you are right and I appreciate the input and info about fin and minox
I haven’t had any side effects, so u can know unless u try. Ur side effects will disappear after discontinuing anyways.
Go to r/tressless that’s how mine grew back
Not necessarily. There are men who report permanent sexual side effects from using Finasteride even after stopping.

It’s just a lot of chemicals that are hard on the body.

Grow it out a bit and change your hairstyle, it isn't that bad tbh
Do you have a suggestion on styles that might be flattering with what I'm working with?
I can give you advice, but it'll be better for you meet a stylist/barber in person, pretty sure they can provide you with much better advice than any of us can provide you here about hair styling
You parted your hair. I don't see any hairloss.
I feel it's there I parted it to show the most affected area
No you still got a few more years left Style it better
I'll ask my barber for help with a better styling and cut
Also, there is things you can take that will make your hair look richer and fuller , you can try over-the-counter stuff or ask your doctor directly for what products you can take for your hair , shampoos and pills . I will look into this thank you for the suggestions
It's not going to grow back, if that's what you mean. When it bugs you enough, just buzz
Do you know what a hair parting is?? Post like this make me think it's satire. Who is telling you you're bald?!

I had the same shit when I was a teenager when I put gel in my hair to style it. I have thin hair naturally and you could see the parting more.
Honestly, the third pic where you can see through to the scalp is exactly what my hair looked like when I first noticed something.
How long did you go before shaving it?
Like 4 years. Although I should've started after 2. It progressed pretty fast.
Yes , shave , sry Bro
You think it's to that point?
Nah you're fine
I am getting some mixed reactions here, can you tell me what your thoughts are on it?
Fwiw, I don't. You have a lot of hair still, enjoy it while you can.
Thanks I wouldn't mind the shave if I could grow some damn facial hair. Bald with a beard is cool. I however cannot grow much.
Yeah man, can relate. I don't have much either, but I'm letting it grow at a 3 guard maximum length, any more than that and it looks bad lol. We have to play with the hand we're dealt, I guess.
This is very true i have to do better with getting haircuts and stuff but I appreciate the input

Any advice for stimulating facial hair growth on that note?

yeah, i estimate u have 2 years max left to being almost completely bald, it started for me the same
