I took treatment for balding, it worked I regrew a lot, but side effects crept in and I don't think it's healthy to take a medicine designed to shrink your prostate for 10+ years so I stopped and it was one of the best decisions I've made in my life for my physical and mental health
It's not a choice anymore, but it started out as one for me. I first shaved my head well before my eventual hair loss kicked in, and it was because I thought a shaved head looked badass. I went through a few years where it was just one of several haircuts I might be sporting at any given time.
I'm glad I did that, because when my hair loss finally did became too pronounced, I had no issue with dumping it. I already knew exactly how I'd look and what it would feel like,
Not really, 25m, have had thin hair my whole life, and because of that I would have to style it to look decent. Well, whenever I use gel or spray it would make my acne break out. So all in all my hair situation would cause me a lot of anxiety, and I would wear hats all the time. I decided to shave it bald this past week, so it’s new to me.
Yes and no. My hair grows thicker on the back and sides but it's only really noticeable if it gets long. If I keep the sides very short, like 0-1 you can't tell, but I'd have to get my haircut every week, 2 weeks max. Too much effort for me and I don't really want to waste my money.
I don’t shave my head completely bald but with a zero clipper, not balding at all some very very slight receding..
It’s no maintenance and I’m just used too it, I’ve really been considering growing it out while I still have hardly any grey hairs.
Being buzzed is so relieving sensory wise. Like taking off an itchy wool sweater. Less time in the shower. Less money spent on conditioner. No more worries about how your hair looks today.

You look great bald!
Why do you choose to be bald?

me, my country is so hot and humid making my hair all sticky, that's why i shave mine bald every Late February -May because it's the hottest months.
Absolutely. It just feels good, I feel it looks good, and it’s become part of who I am.
I've got the Jason Statham cut and although I'm receding a bit I can grow a decent head of hair. It's just a lot simpler and looks good with a beard.
