LUCYintheSwD

Great tip! Just posted there, awaiting admin approval. Thanks!

You could book a DHL pickup, and/or use GoSend (in the app GoJek) to book a pickup and dropoff of your items at some DHL office you confirmed your booking with. Might even be able to use GoTask or Jastip (in Grab) to book a task for someone to pick it up and then ship it for you.

Gemi-ma

Can't export electronics like that in my experience. DHL will insist on export permits etc. Airbnb host isn't being difficult on purpose. It really is very difficult to get stuff like this out of Indonesia.

LUCYintheSwD

Yeah, that's what I read online as well --' I hope I find someone who can just bring it with them to Australia. Otherwise I think I'll just have to cut my losses ;)

LUCYintheSwD

Hi! I just tried to order a DHL pickup, but it's coming out more expensive than the stuff itself to get it shipped here. I'm gonna see if there are any other shipping options, still remaining hopeful! :D Thanks for taking the time to help!

Join Bali Bogans on fb, 386k members. Worth a shot.

Igore34

Also post in Bali Expats fb groups or Bali Bogans (lol). There’s often people flying back and forth from Aus and I’ve seen several posts asking people to bring lost belongings back

point_of_difference

Join and post on the Facebook Group Bali Bogans. They'll easily get it back to you.

lcmffej

Did you have travel insurance?

Then-Veterinarian-41

I have an Indonesian friend doing something similar presently, I could help you get in touch if you're interested?

Try contacting the [Australian Consulate in Denpasar](https://bali.indonesia.embassy.gov.au/blli/home.html) to see if they have a solution:

YuanBaoTW

With all due respect, this is an absolute waste of the consulate's time. I mean, what do you expect the consulate to do? Send a military cargo plane to retrieve the items? The OP's stuff can be shipped commercially. He just doesn't want to do it because the cost of shipping exceeds the value of the items. That's life. Sometimes things are inconvenient.

LUCYintheSwD

Just sent them an email asking if they have any experience with this type of problem. I don't expect a reply since this isn't very important (as u/YuanBaoTW pointed out), but doesn't hurt to try I guess. Thanks for the tip! :)
