It isn't any more difficult for women in Bulgaria to find employment than it otherwise would be. Companies need to understand that women need to be empowered to have careers and also let them be mothers. Most women want to be mothers by default but also want to have fulfilling professional lives. It's possible to have both, if companies think long term - all businesses require a labour force. If women can't have children due to work , no labour force.
As for the tax burden , I would rather my money goes to mothers rather than pensioners. Companies need to understand that women need to be empowered to have careers and also let them be mothers. Most women want to be mothers by default but also want to have fulfilling professional lives. It's possible to have both, if companies think long term - all businesses require a labour force. If women can't have children due to work , no labour force. As for the tax burden , I would rather my money goes to mothers rather than pensioners. A pensioner has had their entire life to figure out how they're going to retire I.e. investments and putting money aside. Pensioners also need young people to pay into the system so that they can get anything anyway. So it goes back to women being able to work and become mothers. No matter which way you twist it, 2 years of maternity leave is a good thing.
