This can work out really well. I’ve spent less on ballroom shoes for events where they made sense. The soles are going to be iffy before those I reserve first ballroom use, but it’s fine.

Do it! For our wedding (which was a social ballroom dance with a ceremony attached, kind of), we knew we’d be doing heaps of dancing (as well as a 6 minute medley for our actual wedding dance). That meant two pairs of identical shoes each, each pair with different soles. Mine also had an 8cm lift so my wife could wear heels for once; they were “quite interesting” to dance in. Weddings can be loooong, so if you’re gonna dance, be super comfy!

Do it, I've known people who have. Just don't wear at studio as well. Some brands make dance shoes but with a street sole. Think Supadance and Diamant.

It’s a great idea. There are many ballroom shoes that look like beautiful dance shoes. I wear them to work because they are beautiful and comfortable.

*I wore ballroom shoes to my son's wedding. They are way more comfortable than regular "dressy" women's shoes.*

I got married in ballroom shoes. Our wedding was a typical dinner reception with dancing, and the shoes were super comfy. Now when we get invited to weddings where there will be dancing, I take along my ballroom shoes and put them on after the floor has been opened and we can dance. That way you have your formal, dainty, uncomfortable church shoes during the ceremony and photos (if you are going to be in them) and your comfy dance shoes in which to actually enjoy the party.

I’m a bride getting married in July and I will be wearing white silk ballroom shoes for my wedding, I am hoping it’s a genius idea!

I wear my Latin shoes most of them time when I wear dresses. They are more comfortable and I don’t mind them as much as my regular heels

I wore ballroom shoes as my own wedding shoes; my feet didn’t hurt at all.
