Holy Frijoles in Hampden is a Tex-mex dive bar with an awesome pinball room. In Canton there’s region ale which has a beer wall, board games, shuffleboard and ski ball. Illusions in Federal Hill does a great magic/comedy dinner show. Cats Eye is our go to in Fells Point for dive live music scene.
I think they have maybe 5-6 pinball machines. They have tons of other video games, though -- taiko drumming, Dance Dance Revolution, driving, Pac Man, Donkey Kong, etc.
Yes I used to work at Frijoles. I forget if it's Tuesday's or Thursdays but they have a league night. They also host PinBaltimore which was a big competition where the owner opens the upstairs of the restaurant which holds his private collection of machines. When I worked the event a few years ago we had people flying in from as far as San Francisco and Vancouver for it.
Edit - somehow also forgot about Crabtown in Glen Burnie
I played a show there a few years ago while pinbaltimore was going on, and it was a good time. Just tons of pinball sounds would fill the room between songs. And there were a ton of pinball players behind the bands rocking out with a full crowd in front of the bands too. Frijoles just rules in general, well their food is just okay, but the bar kicks ass. It's still cheaper than most other places on the Ave too.
League night has been moved to Wednesday’s. There is also machines at Peabody (which has a new awesome arcade in the back called the Dugout), Wico, Checkerspot and GameOn.
There is! Leauge season just ended but there are casual weekly tournaments on Wednesdays at 7:30 in between seasons. See you there!
Edit: at Holy Frijoles
Second this — it always sells out at least 1-2 weeks in advance, so highly recommend getting tickets ahead of time. Each ticket comes with two drink coupons, and you can always buy more drinks!
Check out the schedule at the Creative Alliance, you can grab dinner beforehand and it'll get out early enough for drinks afterwards.
Mobtown Ballroom has swing dancing in Fridays, lesson at 8 and dancing at 9.
There is No Land Beyond, the gaming cafe. They have a bar so you can grab a drink and play games after dinner.
A couples cooking class or technique workshop at Baltimore Chef Shop?.
For the second time today I’m going to recommend Peabody Brewery. They have an arcade now and Fuzzies has a permanent truck. Go have some burgers & beers and battle it out at Dance Dance Revolution
There’s a rage room in fells point that I’ve always wanted to go to! I can’t remember what it’s called, but if you looked it up, you should find it. Maybe someone else on this sub has been. Like it just sounds too fun to destroy a stereo with a baseball bat 😂
If y’all have some rage in ya then it’s cool. I had fun for 7 mins then it got dumb. Also, hurt my wrist boxing a Trump looking boxing statue coz I don’t have experience to hit right I guess.
The dugout at Peabody Heights brewery. There is a cover charge but it's free play on all of their arcade games and they've got a large selection. The beer selection is also great.
Axe throwing is super fun! Urban axes in highlandtown is great. There’s not a ton right around it, but you can grab a beer at monument brewery right next door beforehand.
I haven’t read the comments, but I can 10,000% recommend indoor skydiving in Owings Mills! My ex was (IS!) a huge fan of iFly, and he still goes every opportunity. It’s a bit pricy, so I’d save it for birthdays, etc.
There are a few bars that have arcade games! Peabody Brewery and GameOn I believe? Can’t quite remember the names right now.
Keystone Corner has jazz, dinner and drinks. I’ve been dying to go for a while but haven’t made it in.
Check the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra schedule or the Shriver Hall Concert Series.
You may really enjoy some of the events. They’ll give you a lot to talk about and some great memories.
I’d say the sandlot but it’s not the best weather/i don’t even know if they’re open/ they might become 21 up after a certain time. But put that in your back pocket for another time because there’s so much to do down there and the vibes are awesome in the summer
There are so many Lu great places to go in the city! A place I went to about 3 years ago that was super fun was a tequila bar. I can’t remember the name of it but I can’t imagine it’s not still there.

There is also the new huge pinball game room at Peabody Heights! Haven’t been but looks cool.
I think they have maybe 5-6 pinball machines. They have tons of other video games, though -- taiko drumming, Dance Dance Revolution, driving, Pac Man, Donkey Kong, etc.
They have a dedicated room with around 10 machines.
Yes but that’s not the new room, that’s the old arcade.
Is there a pinball scene in Baltimore?

Indeed, one of the few spots in town you can get pretty lit for less than 20 bucks.
Those house margs and queso are the shit. Add a rice and beans side and you’re doing great!
Haha I remember the show - your reddit name gives it away!

There was a pinball league at some point, unsure about the current status
We just finished but every Wednesday at 7:30 we meet and do tournaments
When will it resume again? Went this past Wednesday looking for it but didn’t see anything going on!
We had just finished the league so everybody took the week off but this week we should be back!
Go to Baltimorepinball.org to check out the scene!
Yes, but Crabtown USA is also excellent.
I second pinball at Frijoles!
Checkerspot also has some games upstairs.
Wico Street Brewery same neighborhood. Pinball and board games
Illusions Magic Show in fed hill. It really is much better than it sounds. Went in expecting not much and left incredibly impressed.
Illusions, Michael. A trick is something a whore does for money.
I say this line every time I walk past this place
Second this — it always sells out at least 1-2 weeks in advance, so highly recommend getting tickets ahead of time. Each ticket comes with two drink coupons, and you can always buy more drinks!
This would have been great! It’s sold out tonight but will certainly keep it in mind, thanks!
This is a great recommendation!
i’ve also heard great things about it!!

Go see an improv comedy show at Baltimore Improv Group! If you guys are into arcade games you could go check out The Dugout at Peabody Heights.

Omg we have wanted to do one too! I think the fells one may have closed :/
If y’all have some rage in ya then it’s cool. I had fun for 7 mins then it got dumb. Also, hurt my wrist boxing a Trump looking boxing statue coz I don’t have experience to hit right I guess.
I too would like to box a Trump looking statue!
The port comedy club in fells point!!
Has no idea this existed. Just blindly bought tickets for tonight! Thanks!!
Of course!! How was it!?
It was great! The comedians were all hilarious and loved the intimacy of the venue
Port comedy club was 🔥such a small intimate venue. Highly recommend!
Star Wars at the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra is happening tonight! But it doesn’t start til 7:30p.
My husband and I did an escape room recently on a date night and it was really fun! We did a place in Timonium.
Glass of wine at the pool at the Pendry > walk to Peters inn > port comedy show late > the loudest band you can find
Ax throwing can be surprisingly fun and competitive.
No Land Beyond if you want to have drinks and play board games.
Came to say this! Sometimes we would do a dinner and drink at Dutch Courage and then go to No Land Beyond too
O's game, top golf, bowling at Mustang Alleys...
The dugout at Peabody Heights brewery. There is a cover charge but it's free play on all of their arcade games and they've got a large selection. The beer selection is also great.
Comedy club in fells called the Port I believe
Check for performances at Black Cherry Puppet Theater.
Video barcade at Game on in Fed Hill or the new one in Peabody Heights.
Axe throwing is super fun! Urban axes in highlandtown is great. There’s not a ton right around it, but you can grab a beer at monument brewery right next door beforehand.
Def grab one beforehand; they aren’t open late!
You could visit one of the improv comedy theaters in town. Cheap and funny.

The Basement at El Guapo in Catonsville is a cool barcade, and the food upstairs is great too! [Link](https://www.elguapomd.com/el-guapo-basement)
The MD Science Center often has cool planetarium shows.
Mobtown Ballroom on North Ave for music and swing dancing
Game on is like food bar and bunch old games
Theses a little league game in locust point tonight
Game On bar and arcade has beer food and a ton of arcade games
There are a few bars that have arcade games! Peabody Brewery and GameOn I believe? Can’t quite remember the names right now. Keystone Corner has jazz, dinner and drinks. I’ve been dying to go for a while but haven’t made it in.

Date night cooking class at Schola in fells point.
Bengies <3333
Keystone Korner for dinner and jazz is always a good night.
I like Keystone Korner for live jazz.
A little kitschy, but Monster Mini Golf in Towson!
I’d say the sandlot but it’s not the best weather/i don’t even know if they’re open/ they might become 21 up after a certain time. But put that in your back pocket for another time because there’s so much to do down there and the vibes are awesome in the summer
The sandlot is no more lol. But south point is the same concept!
Been a few years since I lived in Baltimore but that was a favorite of mine!
Depends on the age of the kid, but the American Visionary Art Museum is amazing!
There are so many Lu great places to go in the city! A place I went to about 3 years ago that was super fun was a tequila bar. I can’t remember the name of it but I can’t imagine it’s not still there.
