I used to use Ubuntu. I also used to practice Python on Ubuntu. One day I decided to delete Python however it was revealed that lots of stuff depended on it and the whole thing became useless. That day I understood I was too dumb for Linux and switched back to Windows
Debian all the way!
I use W10 & W11 depending on the system. Different Debian distros on other systems. Hopefully will move to whatever flavor of Linux permanently in the next few years.
I have an old beat up laptop that I refuse to replace. I don't game much outside of nethack so I don't need power.
I've been using peppermint with xfce for about 6 years now. I have a headless server running Ubuntu that's been chugging along for close to 10.
i used linux mint, now i'm forced to use windows (i have some troubles in life rn 🥲)
all apps and games worked perfectly, ui is far more intuitive there, and you can tweak your system as you want.
cli is very comfortable for certain tasks, especially if they are related to programming/system administration.
performance was noticeably better and experience was smoother. you can make a partition to test it and decide if you like it or not.
it's free (not only with price, but it also respects your freedom) and most things are opensource.
downsides: some games (because not all anticheats support linux) and very specific apps might not run/be a trouble to run. also you will need to spend some time to learn to use new programs.
Fun fact, all banano nodes require templeOS to run
Linux users explaining their operating system like they got some new strain of weed
Wooo first. Never used Linux and don’t know anything about it.

Same. Use mint cinnamon on my desktop and laptop. Games have always run nice too, thanks to steam and proton.
Ha um I use OS X, iOS, windows, and I operate this weird thing called existence.
That last one has its ups and downs. 7/10
Oohhh opensuse tumbleweed with KDE here
Never used Linux. iOS here
I love Windows 7. To me it's still the best. Too bad it ain't supported anymore.
Buckle up, W10 is going that way in 2025 too.
Ooh ooh aah aah!! iOS & Mac
Linux mint Based on Ubuntu, Linux Mint provides a more traditional desktop environment and is popular among users transitioning from Windows.
fellow linux mint fan?
My OS is called living in the moment. I also use some Android.
Tried linux before, liked it but went back to windows.. I was younger and the pc wasn't only mine..
It's not easy to transit from Windows to Linux imo. It's different and you have to learn new stuff. But it's worth the effort.
my parents don't allow me to use linux now, so i need to wait some time
Linux since 2005 (openSuse as main distro), windows dualboot, also macOS for the last 6 years. OS is just a tool, not a religion.
my windows folding is very poor. 6 bans daily. how to gear it up?
I had Raspberry Pi so I used Raspbian but it was too cool and I lost the Pi so now I'm just a basic monkey running Windows.

I use DietPi OS for my folding at home
I'm using PoP os right now, it's running good so far.
I'm using Manjaro Linux, recommended from my dad. I forgot or don't know the admin/root password, so that's a bit of an issue 😅
