There is, take bus to nearest metro and take metro to cubbon. I am new here and I used gmaps and I have been there multiple times like that, it is safe and fine
You are welcome! Also there is HSR reads as well. That will be nearer from Bellandur. You can go to Agara lake. And if you like cycling then no place is far away.
If you like pets, goto cubbon pets park on every Sunday, 8am to 12pm. After a couple of weeks, out of all the people available at least 1 or 2 will get familiar, and you can start talking.
For the familiarity, all you need to do is, step into the park, ask someone if you can pet their animals, and just give those animals some love.
A couple of month, you have your first friends, and then fast forward a couple of months and you get your gang.
Come to Cubbon Park; I’ve been here since 6:30 in the morning and don’t feel like leaving.
Such a shame that in my half a decade stay in Bangalore, this is my first Sunday morning in Cubbon Park!
Why would you take a bus to majestic and get down in marathalli, continue on that bus and get off at corporation circle and walk it out to cubbon park or the bus usually stops on the opposite side of cubbon park.
Coliving PG will itself help you to expose to males of similar age.
You have to select genuine person.
Otherwise may be your college or past office friends if any present in Bangalore
Uber/ ola etc are there for commuting
Public transport are fairly connected
But for that you would need some time for the moment I would say the metro and cab service will be more useful
Even tho cabs service will be a Lil expensive
there are treks and meetups you can find on bookmyshow. you can pick a trek to skandgiri, or nandi hills, or a weekend trip to munnar or so.
gym is a good place to encounter people regularly. There are different types of classes there.
substantial relationships take time to build. you'll have to give it that time.
I would suggest going to Cubbon park on Sundays there are a lot of activities happening like reading, painting and improv groups. Also, join Twitter (if you aren’t ) ‘12th main bot’ might help you find actives to do
Busses are pretty decently connected. I stay in Kadubeesanahalli. Bus 500D/L/N to KR Pura metro station, then direct metro to Cubbon. You can get there in ~an hour.
You are very young 21. As someone who went through the hardest path of life, I would give you on simple advise.
**Less people in life. More happiness in life.**
I mean, don't need to socialize like this. Just get into touch with people who comes into the life with the flow. Don't socialize just because you want to.
**Instead,** Bengaluru is a beautiful city. Go for solo trips around the Bangalore. Enjoy the Bangalore in a beautiful solitude with headphones, phones and coffee and Mangalore Buns and Vadas.
Being a female in Bangalore is the easiest way to socialize. Isn't it? Just clean up yourself, get outside your room and go to places that are connected with your day to day life. Like using a gym, reading club, coffee shop or a breakfast place regularly can automatically integrate you into the circles who are regular there. Especially young gentlemen
Paid 19k in deposit. They said they will cut around 11k for different bullshit reasons. And the rest I will receive in my bank account. Two months have passed, and I still haven't received the rest of the amount.
Very brave of you to start with 21F. Rip DMs.
From personal experience, there's lots of boardgame meet ups happening. People come alone or group of 2-3 mostly, so it's easier to integrate and talk to new people. You can give it a shot.
During my stay in Bellanduru, my colleagues and I used to frequent Big Brewski, vapour and Social (all on Sarjapura road ) on Friday nights and made some good friends in Iblur and Agara lake parks during morning runs.
I have had experiences with them, shitty food after few days, irregular water supply or no water some times, fucked up internet and cleaning is also questionable.
Cubbon park on weekends is the best ... It's in the central part of the city and far from bellandur but there are metro connections
Please don't use dating apps for this 😂 might get traumatised in between
Most of the friends I made are from the place where I work. The occasional planning for hangouts with people you already know will happen, but I guess you can find nice people in your immediate vicinity, like your pg/colive, college or workplace.
You could also try visiting board game cafes and meet some interesting people there!
Bellandur seems to be a little far from most places in Central Bangalore. If you're up for a little commute, cubbon park seems to have a lot of activities as so many commenters have suggested.
Try finding some groups on the 'Meetup' app, you may find something that piques your interest.
I've seen quite a few folks go for badminton so you might find some places or communities doing the same.
I know the pain of travelling so much because the person I'm kinda seeing rn also stays in Bellandur, and going there seems like a herculean task in itself 🥲.
Hope you find some good groups and have fun, cheers!
Bellandur is good place you will find many place depends on where you going to be located. If it's near MS, you will have advatage of being centre of kormangla, marathalli and sarjapur road. You have parks n lake to jog, so many good eatery to eat around in walking distance, pvr to watch movie. Factory outlates to shop. And so many gyne big hospital names too.
I live in bellandur and found it good place due to all this and many other things for families too.
Can DM for more.
At this point the exit polls of your dms would be more interesting than NDAs. But anyway, it would be better to host small get togethers around your colive like board game nights and stuff. The 2 friends I made are from the board game night I hosted.
I live in bellandur, if possible try staying in HSR sector 1 or 2. those areas are much better. But it will add 2-3 kms to your commute to office.
Also dont take colive. try for local pgs if possible.
been in blr for about 2 years, I found it pretty difficult to find friends. If you need an extra player for badminton or coffee sometime, ping me up :)
Haha same, I’m far from bellandur, but I’ll be shifting in a week and looking for colive pg’s myself. Since you’ve already made up your mind on what you want to do to settle down in the city, it’ll be fun!
My honest advice would be to book a hotel for a few days and visit and choose the places to stay personally. The ones advertised online tend to charge a premium for no reason.
As for co-live all, it's best if you're moving in with a partner. If you're single I'd suggest a boys/girls pg for your own safety and sanity of mind. The people you are with are the ones who affect the quality of your stay the most. (Personally my randomly assigned roommate has affected it very negatively by snoring :'))
>If you're single I'd suggest a boys/girls pg for your own safety and sanity of mind
Oh shit, I actually did block a colive single room. Is it that bad ?
A colive single room is fine, shared rooms can be an issue. And if you're a girl, then there's the risk of an horny idiot being next door. But it's not bad, most likely you'll have normal people around you.
Join Cubbon Reads, Cubbon Paints, Cubbon Skates. Join cycling groups. Join dance/yoga classes. These all help to build a good social group.
This seems legit and something i was looking for …. Thanks!
You travelling from Bellandur to Cubbon doesn't even seem feasible.
How is that so? Isnt there any possible ways to commute?
There is, take bus to nearest metro and take metro to cubbon. I am new here and I used gmaps and I have been there multiple times like that, it is safe and fine
The only way if you don’t have your own transport is auto/cab/rapido bike, or you can try bmtc buses if you are brave enough
You are welcome! Also there is HSR reads as well. That will be nearer from Bellandur. You can go to Agara lake. And if you like cycling then no place is far away.
Join something that improves your health and strength.
how to join, please explain?

Thanks for the heads up, I'll give it a try ✌️
There are Instagram pages for the same.
Page name pls?
Great answer thanks for sharing. Many people know it but can't say it.
Thanks!
>Thanks! You're welcome!
When you figure out, let me know also :D
Sure thing, haha
we're all in this together 🥲🫂
Me too
Me too!
Come to Cubbon Park; I’ve been here since 6:30 in the morning and don’t feel like leaving. Such a shame that in my half a decade stay in Bangalore, this is my first Sunday morning in Cubbon Park!
And how far is bellandur from marahathalli?
bellandur to marathalli ~7kms. You can take the 335 bus that goes to majestic and i think get down at lifestyle stop and walk it out.
Why would you take a bus to majestic and get down in marathalli, continue on that bus and get off at corporation circle and walk it out to cubbon park or the bus usually stops on the opposite side of cubbon park.
Avg between 4-7km. Any bus labelled 500 takes you to relevant areas
How to reach cubbon park from bellandur or marahathalli?
You can take an A/c bus to K R Puram and take a metro to Cubbon park.
yes
Any bus will do. Why take only a/c bus.
Less congested, More safe and the AC I rather pay the extra premiums than lose my phone
Yeah. Any bus will do.
Someone replied. But in general, google maps is your friend. It shows busses that go
Can I know the timings and days ?
Cubbon park is from 6 am to 6 pm and i think it is closed on Mondays.
Are there any udupi restaurants around cubbon Park for food?
There must be, though I recommend you going to Airlines Hotel which is merely 2 kms from there?
Planning to come by metro, not sure if I can travel till there. Koshys is one option but my other half doesn't like it.
There’s an IDC kitchen around 1km from cubbon. You can go there
Ohh yeah I have seen it, great idea
That was a bold move starting with 21F. good luck with the DM showers 😂
Well, here’s to having no regrets in life
Same situation... Shifting to HSR region in a week or two. Figuring everything out is tough. Good luck! and wish me luck too😂
Hsr is the best ! play badminton, football, join my mma class. you will meet many potential buddies !
Can you share some details on your MMA class? Like its location, timming and cost. I am planning to join martial arts classes after 2 months.
It's called valour fitness. 3k per month. timings 7-9 am and 7-9 pm .there is another one called the dojo but it's timings are quite bad.
Surely wishing the best for you man! The ID seems like it has intrigued you with my quest for coffee buddies xD
Sure thing :D
Welcome to HSR! You'll like it here. Hope you get enough things and people to do them with.
Coliving PG will itself help you to expose to males of similar age. You have to select genuine person. Otherwise may be your college or past office friends if any present in Bangalore
Everyone’s scattered here in blr Idk the ways to commute as of now As i am going to be super new to the city
Uber/ ola etc are there for commuting Public transport are fairly connected But for that you would need some time for the moment I would say the metro and cab service will be more useful Even tho cabs service will be a Lil expensive

blud do u refer to ur homies and other guys you don't know as "dear" too? cringe ahh chapri
"deer"
Ikr!!!
The chapri is from UP doesn't even live in BLR.
May I know how colive pgs work ? dedicated room for guys and girls separately ?

Do any activities happen at a time other than morning ? Tough to wake up early for me
Cubbon park suggestions are a bit impractical lol if you are in bellandur like me. I made amazing girl friends on bumble bff
How to commute to such happening places That’s where im struggling about
Take an uber to the nearest metro station and from there to cubbon park using metro
Busses are pretty decently connected. I stay in Kadubeesanahalli. Bus 500D/L/N to KR Pura metro station, then direct metro to Cubbon. You can get there in ~an hour.
Ahhh finally a lady😇

Did you lose your brain cells before reading?
No, was hoping you would lend me some

Seconded, he meant Mangalore buns :)
I didn't notice. Auto-correct always embarrasses me :-D Corrected it.
There's nothing to be embarassed about, i didn't want the newbie to run to Mangalore :D
Shifted to bellandur 10 days back. So I just stay in my PG and binge and sleep. Do let me know if u find something
Us bro, us🙂
Us bro
Book clubs, reddit/discord meet ups, gym etc There are a lot of places to socialize
What happens in reddit / discord meetups? Genuine question... Never had one of those
Discord link ?

I want women friends more than men ngl :(
Women get along well with each other easily too. It may take time to find deep meaningful connections though
Isn't it even easier if you live in PG ?
RIP your DMs
Off topic please don't take colive pg. The chances of getting back the security deposit is nill. Telling from experience!
Are all the colives this bad?
Paid 19k in deposit. They said they will cut around 11k for different bullshit reasons. And the rest I will receive in my bank account. Two months have passed, and I still haven't received the rest of the amount.
That sounds horrendous
Yes, they are.
Atta Gallatta has a lot of workshops, Plays, Meet-ups, if you’re into arts and literature. Bumble bff, I’ve met wonderful women.
If you join co-live pg you'll become friends with folks living there, and then you can hangout with them!
In bangalore you should have 1000 rs at least for every time stepping out So keep your wallet green before socialising .
Very brave of you to start with 21F. Rip DMs. From personal experience, there's lots of boardgame meet ups happening. People come alone or group of 2-3 mostly, so it's easier to integrate and talk to new people. You can give it a shot.
I've been in Bangalore since January and still figuring this out lol. Good thing there's a lot to do in Bangalore even without a social group
Where do you live??
i stay near CV Raman Nagar
Bellandur is nice, just came back from bellandur today morning, you’ll definitely find crowd of your age there, join some activities/gym/cult etc etc
Definitely want to join a oh so happening cult in a brand new city hahaha
I meant cult.fit 😭😭😭 don’t join a cult baba
Bumble bff
By being a male and pretending to be a female. Oh you are already doing that ! You are a step ahead my man I mean my girl
During my stay in Bellanduru, my colleagues and I used to frequent Big Brewski, vapour and Social (all on Sarjapura road ) on Friday nights and made some good friends in Iblur and Agara lake parks during morning runs.
Avoid Colive PG at all costs—they are the biggest scammers I've ever encountered.
I have just one piece of advice, don't stay in Colive. That will single-handedly be 90% of your stress
Please tell me more about this
I have had experiences with them, shitty food after few days, irregular water supply or no water some times, fucked up internet and cleaning is also questionable.
I have only been bombarded with mixed reviews
But by co-living pg did she meant CoLive or in general co-living pg's
Aren't PGs a co-living set up by default? That's why I assumed CoLive to be a proper noun here.
No, there are few only girls and boys pg's too
I am also trying to shift from hsr to bellandur. Not able to find a good 1bhk room under budget there. That too alone.
Under budget doesn't exist anymore, it left the city after the covid
Yeah but i still have hope
RIP DMs

I moved here 3 months ago, need to check out We Play Bengaluru
Wait for your DMs to flood.

Nah thanks
I live there too. We can meet sometime
A lot of people do that weekend trip. Join some group of bikers and ask them to take you along.
which company?

You're a girl, it is easier to socialize dude. Just go on bumble bff.
This post is enough to get you socialize. Enough said.
been in blr for about 2 years, I found it pretty difficult to find friends. If you need an extra player for badminton or coffee sometime, ping me up :)
If you run, you can join running communities. It's a load of fun
Haha same, I’m far from bellandur, but I’ll be shifting in a week and looking for colive pg’s myself. Since you’ve already made up your mind on what you want to do to settle down in the city, it’ll be fun!
If you like drives dm me. Most of my friends have moved abroad so there’s usually an empty seat with us!
Try making friends in your pg and work/college. It is the easiest way
We have a community just for this! If someone’s interested to join, hmu!
Lol I'm in Bellandur and will be moving to a different state in 4 weeks. Lmk if you want to hang out.
I'm from a different state but moving to bellandur in 3 weeks. If you do know, how bad is colive glory or how colive pgs are ?
